  1. Pre season starts next Monday, timing still ok. Be a treat to actually discuss some actual happenings
  2. Unfortunately he hasn't kicked a ball since "FirhillGate"Such a confidence based game for him . Probably best for both parties if he goes. A shame, he has all the skills and is a fantastic striker of the ball . Good luck to him ,whether he stays or goes. We'll always have the playoffs Lionel, and for that you'll never be forgotten. Thank you
  3. Tiresome Tiresome Tiresome It is what it is Please just f cking sign some players and get on with it
  4. Frankly I'm glad of a bit of movement, gives us some definite funds to factor into signing plans. Fair play to Ben Hall for taking a chance but I think he's got ahead of himself and would have reaped the benefits of another season with us.
  5. ISL is a short season, let him go on loan then back to us- Lampard-style?
  6. Could someone let me know if anything actually happens, I'm in the cupboard under the stairs... This is frustratingly dull.
  7. Andy Russell would've set his dug on them...
  8. "When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea." But if the fish are too small or rotten , then the seagulls will just f ck off and look elsewhere.
  9. Swings and roundabouts. We get low ball offers, so we make low ball offers to other clubs. We are in the same shit as most others. Every club is shedding costs, reducing wage bills and player numbers . Consequently, the pool of available players will grow, driving down wages. A situation we can take advantage of. Long term this isn't beneficial for anyone , but short term it may bridge the gap until we hopefully finally reap rewards from the sale of homegrown talent
  10. Clearly a fluke to have managed to play 500 first team games And to have been a stick on 7/10 or better almost every week And to have a quality left peg And to have won a percentage of headers that is vastly higher than anyone of his height has any right to win And to have a composure under pressure not often seen Perfect? No A merited addition to the pantheon of legendary custodians of the number 3 jersey? Yes To deny that is simply a churlish rewriting of history Worth another year ? Absolutely
  11. The close season does scary things to people, doesn't it. Especially the two weeks at the start when they're all off to Benidorm for their hols and there's no news
  12. Think that's a bit before Bobby Geddes, Ally Donaldson rings a bell?
  13. 35% for me too. From Dixie Deans to Louis Moult
  14. Please do, and don't start another one called IF YOUR AUNTIE HAD A PAIR OF BAWS SHE'D BE YOUR UNCLE.
  15. I think you're massively underestimating the value of McManus in coaching Laing/ Kennedy/Hall through games. Hall looked much less of a player in the 20s final. McManus has his faults but his experience in not diving in and making forwards decisions limited has been notable. I would keep him , no question . Two young centre backs is far too risky.
  16. Must've been incredibly character building for him then. On the day he sauntered off as the final day "exuberance" swept past him. and another tabloId "non-story " was born...
  17. Get Mike Ashley and David Cameron on the Board. Impose "zero hours" contracts. Pay only for 90 minutes work ( unless they're subbed) Simples... I think the tricky part is anticipating who we can sell, and for how much, and who we can buy. The real danger is ending up with too many players, or not having enough cover.
  18. Big Marv had a blistering start , after which nobody kicked a ball in anger.
  19. Ross Wallace was the "victim" in that case. His lack of pace in getting off the park that day was evident throughout the rest of his career too
  20. The main disrespect shown is that of the minority of brainless wonders who have persisted with pitch incursions , despite all the club warnings and threatened sanctions over the years. It is no longer the light-hearted celebration it once was, more a GIRUY to the authorities and as such does nobody any favours. The club has been backed into a corner and left with little option other than today's almost farcical belt and braces approach. The final day pitch invasion is history. Deal with it and move on.
  21. Well that was a damp squib of a day. A spectacular amount of expense on a security cordon necessitated by a tiny band of thoughtless idiots-theSFA- and the miscreants who simply refused to be told. Hopefully today will negate the need for future deployment of rooftop snipers or an alligator filled moat Apart from Marvs rampaging first half cameo at left back, a forgettable afternoon
  22. I knowBut reposting it seemed a bit repetitive Done it now

  24. First goal - clumsy tackle Second goal - slow reaction from Las Third goal - poor marking, slow reaction Fourth goal - Pearson was tracking to "steal" the ball, but was blocked by Hall Laing - looked as if he was breathing through his arse by half time. Red card - a needless clumsy tackle , like the petulant lunge of a tired and frustrated 37 year old, how could that be??? On the plus side we did look brighter with the introduction of Cadden and Hall. After being at the 20s final during the week, I would be interested to see Campbell given a run out next week in the absence of Lasley, thought he was outstanding .
