We wouldn't get £200k as I think the deal would be we get Lang for a small amount but forfeit our sell on clause for Cedric. Personally I would rather take the £200k and invest it into the academy but that's just my opinion...COYW
Not a bad line up but wouldn't have Hylton in line up ahead of Polworth or o'hara. I would be keen on a back 3 of Gallagher, lamie and Donnelly. Turnbull, Campbell, o'hara, polworth and hastie midfield with watt and long up front
I have no problems with him.being back and if he reproduces his early form then happy days. I know some fans aren't happy but at end of day he will be wearing well top for the time being and giving him pelters isn't going to help anyone. Yes he could have handle things better but he's a young lad and I am sure we all done daft things when younger, I mean look at me....i told honking jokes when i was younger and now look at me.........hmmmmmmmm ....COYW
Ye hope Long signs new deal. Also can you imagine if him and skippy played alongside each other?......Carlsberg dont do crabbit forward lines..........but if they did
Happy to have him back but will need to hit the ground running if he has to prove the doubters. Fact there will be no fans at games initially could help him. If it turns out to be a bad move then what it would say is we got decent money for him last year (was it £400k?)
Dont know if story over dramatised but at end of day isn't good publicity. Club should have a word with the players concerned. Jake would be better concentrating on getting past the halfway line before stopping and passing back the way.
I put suggestion out last week about getting Hastie on loan and was met by mixed views. I think if he started well then I am sure most fans would be pleased. Also isn't blocking any youth players in that position as far as I am aware so I wouldn't mind him coming back
If he gets it good luck to him, I didnt mind Bara and will always be a legend for masterminding 6-1 play off win over gers. Yes I know that was because we finished 2nd bottom but at same time gave us one of our most memorable victories
that'll be a no then? lol. Fair do's mate, all about opinions. I know signing players from down south has worked well for us on occasions but it also has seen us make very poor signings (no names mentioned). The only way youngsters learn is if we give them the chance though I also appreciate they need to show enough in training to be given that chance. COYW
Agree about wide players, we need quality in those areas. Everyone entitled to their opinion but I have never been a Hylton fan and apart from a screamer at Tynecastle Seedorf hasn't done much. Though at same time finding a quality winger is hard so no idea what is available.. would be great if we could try some of the youngsters
Robbo said a few weeks ago his budget would be cut. Obviously with us signing a good few players then money must be there, I just hope not at the expense of our academy but I have mentioned that previously so will see what happens
Considering the club are always announcing budget cuts and we have no money then would be interesting how we could offer him an improved deal. If he goes then I wish him all the best and we move on. Also great news for his lad as he will make his international debut in the play off!! Ba boom....COYW
