  1. Didn't make the game in the end , ticket purchased for the Clyde game though. But seen it finished 3-3 3-0 up earlier I heard
  2. Not much a fan of the kit as yet , but sure it will grow on me . And I do like the idea behind it of course
  3. I have vague memory of a game at Bellshill before , 1998 I think. Was the old Brandon Park back then and we were playing in the away top Shivute scored in at Ibrox the season before Sure a guy called Kevin Christie was playing and he made a very poor pass at one point , one of the players shouted Come on Kev FFS , something like that. Believe it to be Andy Thomson who sadly passed away months later
  4. I have been bored with it if truth be told so I haven't been watching Bellshill away or Clyde away the week after is much more appealing to me
  5. Hopefully a few turn up for this , a very good cause Intending to go to the Bellshill game myself , back to the good stuff None of this club world cup nonsense
  6. My thoughts too 💯, I think it will
  7. That thought had crossed my mind also , after everything that happened with Stuart Kettlewell I wouldn't put it past the media to be asking our ex manager's for an opinion
  8. Good post, we definetly need something to be cheerful about with a new season approaching I was 100% behind Michael Wimmer, and also 100% behind Jens now hoping he will bring some new ideas
  9. I don't understand why Graham Alexander waits til now , 5 months after SK has left and also just days after our new manager has just joined the club before saying a word Haven't heard him mention a word previously about us good or bad since the day he left
  10. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-14834551/Motherwell-fans-turned-just-like-did-Stuart-Kettlewell-former-Fir-Park-boss-Graham-Alexander-recalls-personal-abuse-endured-time-managing-Scotland.html Our previous manager has spoken A more recent one at that, not quite ancient history
  11. I have the Well Worth a Mention book It was a great read , I would definitely give that a 💯 rating 👍
  12. I agree with you Not so bothered about a refund etc , just made the post to stop at the very least 1 Well fan from buying this Others down the years have tried very hard to bring pleasure to Well fans with material that was accurate, and much more worthy of the cash
  13. I mean at that moment in time he handled the situation with dignity , nobody would have been expecting anything different to be fair from any manager in our history. The worst day I have ever had at Fir Park. Nothing is close I was referring to the way he disregarded travelling fans off at Falkirk the following season. He just here to manage the team , not please the fans The comments about managing Liverpool , silly as they were . Nobody truly believed it what he was saying Various other things of course
  14. Very true. It was a mistake ever bringing Mark McGhee back second time around I am no fan of him either , the way he handled the Uncle Phil tragedy he has my biggest respect on that forever . Some of his silly stupid comments in the years later stick in the mind Was almost a relief when he left first time and dare I say it Jim Gannon came in. Now that is someone else who could split opinion lol
  15. True , I remember that St Mirren game . The infamous game when people through the season tickets on Remember speaking to one Well fan I worked with on the day Malpas left He had been watching the team pre Tommy McLean era and was absolutely scunnered to the fact he didn't want to watch anymore 2007/2008 was much better
  16. Malpas along with Paul Hegarty as assistant was quite possibly the worst in my whole time following Motherwell , that season was a total disaster it was actually a relief for me when McGhee took over first time
  17. Duped at the highest level Hopefully no other Well fan will be as silly
  18. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Motherwell-F-C-Steelmens-Gigi-Romano/dp/1923484052/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3QVDZU61JZ48F&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Z_GU6J9En2AV05pqInJzaFc_Clw7Sa3GZuOOvcq1lc3GjHj071QN20LucGBJIEps.9NeTRrCcXsKd_MkTaWXT5gPd2mqve6Z58-aehsWZc7M&dib_tag=se&keywords=steelmen+legacy+motherwell&qid=1750501826&sprefix=steelmen+legacy+motherwell%2Caps%2C76&sr=8-1 If this new book pops up on anyone's Amazon avoid it like the plague, seriously I am a lover of anything Well related either official or unofficial if it was published by a fan I took a chance on this and was really disappointed The whole book is a joke from start to finish We won our first Scottish Cup in 1931, wrong straight away . Our 3rd Scottish cup win was 1991 which was 4-3 against Aberdeen in the final Alex McLeish was our manager from 1990-1996, in that time he won not just the Scottish cup in 1991 but a cup double in the same season. He won the league cup in 1991 beating Rangers 2-1 in the final We played in europe in 2007 against a team called Bate Borisov ??? More recently we beat Celtic at Fir Park with Kevin Van Veen scoring a double, Liam Kelly pulled off a few good saves that day Not even fit to go to a charity shop in my opinion, shocking indeed
  19. Bradford have produced some very nice kits down the years The 1999/2001 home and away when they were in the Premier League were classics
  20. Might be a good time to get Rangers first game of the season
  21. Funny enough I ended up in Wetherspoons today, days off. but was the one in Motherwell of course 🤣 It took me back to 2005 for some reason. The old place hasn't changed at all but the reason I say 2005 is I got in some disagreement with a guy about Gerry Britton for some reason after he signed lol . I was giving him the benefit of the doubt of course That was a short lived one looking back now 😄
  22. Sorry to see Ahmet leaving I didn't honestly think he would be staying on realistically though Maybe new Assistant manager to Michael Wimmer
  23. I am fully behind the new manager No idea who he was really , he played for Norwich under Paul Lambert so must have at least a bit of a knowledge of UK football We have not been a great watch really for at least 4-5 years now with the exception of KVV scoring goals for fun in those last 3 months, and Theo Bair's half season . I heard someone suggest few days ago we should have appointed either Craig Levein or Mark McGhee , the second guy got a second chance and we seen what happened
