  1. Really need a win on Saturday to halt the recent run , looking for 4 points at least from the next 2 games
  2. Do not blame Hammell for anything before I start, It took Robinson to go to St Mirren before he could get a result as we as a club do not have the correct mindset in games like this and has been obvious for years 2 defeats in 3 days which were completely expected in my eyes. We ran Rangers much closer as Celtic are a much better side on their day and potentially can take 4 goals off any team in our league That said though our results in those games are horrendous in the last 5/7 years Interesting to read the Hibs manager earlier. Think there is something psychological about the inevitable of a defeat regardless of form
  3. Usual defeat against this mob, after a very decent first half. Convinced I will never see us beat Rangers in a league game again in my lifetime Next time we play them I would play Tommy Coyne , Owen Coyle, Faddy and Sieb Dikstra if they are available In all seriousness though desperate for a win on Wednesday but sadly it will be same old story
  4. No class whatsoever from a lot of them Slag off the wee diddy clubs all the time, and always someone else’s fault One comment i read today suggested they won’t compete in the champions league as all the other clubs in Scotland are holding them back , would love to know why. Massive gulf of course between Rangers and Celtic and the English premier league clubs , but no different to those two clubs and the rest of Scottish football, we just get on with it and make the best of it
  5. Absolute drubbing at home 7-1 , make no secret of the fact the Pool have always been my favourite English club Wont be surprised sadly if Rangers run up a few goals on Sunday now , I seriously hope I am wrong , and hoping Van Bronckhorst doesn’t lose his job by then , at least they know what it feels like to be us and other clubs like us losing heavily
  6. Well done everyone involved , great to hear we are doing all we can as a club
  7. Tommy Coyne was class and I do believe we got some of the best football of his career My favourite memory will always be the 1-0 cup win in 1994 , Can still hear Jock Brown in my head because I have watched it on YouTube so many times , Motherwell undefeated in 1994 against Celtic who have still to win a match in the new year , the double at Hampden later that year was another great day Was brilliant up along with the legend who is Dougie Arnott
  8. Would love a long overdue victory against this mob, fed up of hearing every time we play them about not having won a league game since 2002 etc Best we will get is a draw I think , though have to beat this mob at some stage
  9. Buzzing tonight , 5-0 victory for the Well And my favourite English side Liverpool beating the Govan mob Going to be a good day tomorrow
  10. One Steven Hammell There’s only one Steven Hammell
  11. Expecting the usual defeat there , though confident we should give a better account of ourselves than the 6-0 last time there
  12. I would take 4 points from those 3 games right now
  13. Was exactly my thoughts as well We tend to have a negative defeatist attitude going into these games and was never the case in the 1990s, and early 2000s when we gave both those teams a hard game more often than not
  14. That is true , if we were playing Celtic today with Carson, Gallagher, Tait, Dunne, main and O’Hara we would probably be 3 or 4 goals down by this stage
  15. Totally expect that the game will go ahead on Sunday as planned, if champions league games are allowed to go ahead midweek then don’t see there being an issue
  16. 100% agree, when I made my original post last night about not giving a toss if there is any games I really meant I was not too upset if games would be off and played at a different time Hearts fans made a fool of themselves last night at half time and other Hearts fans have been slating them , one certain team in Glasgow would embarass the country like they always do in these situations While I would expect everyone of our decent fans to pay respect their will be an element who will show themselves up , and give the club a bad name which has happened already this season
  17. Honestly could not give a toss if we don’t have a game at the weekend, or next weekend Not a royalist at all and far from it, and the blue half of Glasgow especially make my blood boil, but if there no football this weekend it will at least stop people embarassing themselves and being disrespectful
  18. Neil Alexander is rumoured to be the new goalkeeping coach , and being announced soon according to the Daily Record
  19. Playing Rangers on the Saturday would be the best scenario, probably something to do with the fact they play Liverpool the Wednesday before , and will of course want an extra day to prepare for the game , as they would cry everyone is against them otherwise
  20. No doubt the 6:15 kick off time on the Wednesday will be to do with the fact neither Rangers or ourselves will want to play on the Tuesday , and with Premier showing the Killie game on the Tuesday they will have to have both games back to back as both Celtic and Rangers always get shown Could have had one of the games on the Thursday , that happened when we played Aberdeen in 2017
  21. That was a game we should have definitely won , only disappointing thing for me was it finished 0-0 Some great football yesterday which we haven’t seen much of in the last 3/4 years Heard a few Dundee United fans on the bus yesterday on the way home delighted with a draw, and things are looking up for them despite being bottom with a goal difference of minus 16 , to me that is a sign of definite improvement after the two Sligo games that they were happy coming away from Fir Park with a draw
  22. Buzzing when I heard Louis was back , hopefully he can hit a bit of form after his injury issues
  23. This is exactly my thoughts exactly, would like to see us turn up at Fir Park and give both these mobs a game this season , even if it is a 2-1 defeat in the last minute it would still be better than some of the 4,5,6 goal defeats we have seen in recent seasons
  24. Hopefully our record against both Celtic , and the other mob improves under Hammell Cant remember any Motherwell side going 4 years in a row without picking up even a draw against them, for years and years some of Celtic’s toughest games of the season were at Fir Park, would be great to cause a shock in the next round
