  1. 100% agree, when I made my original post last night about not giving a toss if there is any games I really meant I was not too upset if games would be off and played at a different time Hearts fans made a fool of themselves last night at half time and other Hearts fans have been slating them , one certain team in Glasgow would embarass the country like they always do in these situations While I would expect everyone of our decent fans to pay respect their will be an element who will show themselves up , and give the club a bad name which has happened already this season
  2. Honestly could not give a toss if we don’t have a game at the weekend, or next weekend Not a royalist at all and far from it, and the blue half of Glasgow especially make my blood boil, but if there no football this weekend it will at least stop people embarassing themselves and being disrespectful
  3. Neil Alexander is rumoured to be the new goalkeeping coach , and being announced soon according to the Daily Record
  4. Playing Rangers on the Saturday would be the best scenario, probably something to do with the fact they play Liverpool the Wednesday before , and will of course want an extra day to prepare for the game , as they would cry everyone is against them otherwise
  5. No doubt the 6:15 kick off time on the Wednesday will be to do with the fact neither Rangers or ourselves will want to play on the Tuesday , and with Premier showing the Killie game on the Tuesday they will have to have both games back to back as both Celtic and Rangers always get shown Could have had one of the games on the Thursday , that happened when we played Aberdeen in 2017
  6. That was a game we should have definitely won , only disappointing thing for me was it finished 0-0 Some great football yesterday which we haven’t seen much of in the last 3/4 years Heard a few Dundee United fans on the bus yesterday on the way home delighted with a draw, and things are looking up for them despite being bottom with a goal difference of minus 16 , to me that is a sign of definite improvement after the two Sligo games that they were happy coming away from Fir Park with a draw
  7. Buzzing when I heard Louis was back , hopefully he can hit a bit of form after his injury issues
  8. This is exactly my thoughts exactly, would like to see us turn up at Fir Park and give both these mobs a game this season , even if it is a 2-1 defeat in the last minute it would still be better than some of the 4,5,6 goal defeats we have seen in recent seasons
  9. Hopefully our record against both Celtic , and the other mob improves under Hammell Cant remember any Motherwell side going 4 years in a row without picking up even a draw against them, for years and years some of Celtic’s toughest games of the season were at Fir Park, would be great to cause a shock in the next round
  10. Delighted with the 4-0 win , if this was played a month or so ago we would have struggled Not the draw we were looking for , have to beat them at some point though and what better time Of course if we did we would end up drawing Rangers no doubt
  11. Must play our strongest team for this one If you offered me Europe this season again, or a cup final at Hampden I know what I would pick , been so long hearing about 1991 that one of these seasons it must be our turn of a cup In reality of course I don’t see it happening, but always good to think it will if things go our way
  12. Thoughts with his family RIP John
  13. Know a couple of Killie fans who have been ranting about how poor they have been this season , despite a tough start We have a good record down the years at Rugby Park , 1-0 victory I think
  14. Never a red card for me either for Lundstrum, to level it up they got a penalty that never was and James Tavernier will go on to be the highest scorer in Rangers history with the amount of penalties they get On a serious note great 3 points yesterday , performance was definitely not the best though there is much more of a feel good factor with Stevie in charge now
  15. Hopefully 3 points on Saturday , and a positive atmosphere , seen this as well earlier in the week for anyone who hasn’t seen Great gesture and any positive news we get is always a good thing , and hopefully gives the Cooper stand a better atmosphere as most of the atmosphere comes from one section of the Hunter https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/pop-star-edwyn-collins-gave-27737136.amp
  16. Man U losing 4-0 at half time to Brentford, shocking start for Van Der Gaag and co They really are in a mess at the minute , and has been the case for a while now
  17. Brilliant 3 points today , really pleased to see how we responded after going 2-1 behind
  18. Sad, bitter, man. He has lived off his cult status with us, and some weirdos still feed into it. Seen quite a few posts in recent years slating our club , My thoughts he is bitter at the fact Motherwell have never offered him a job , great player of course back in the day
  19. Totally agree , what a player he was for us and would love to have a player like this now in the team Seem to remember he was quite bitter towards the likes of Barraclough and Robinson also
  20. Noticed on the Well Facebook page last night when Stevie was appointed that Colin ONeill had said Burrows should go Bit OTT in my opinion
  21. Very tough game in prospect tomorrow , we do though have a very decent record up there in recent years Hopeful of coming away with at least a draw
  22. Respect also , and this was another great occasion despite the result Will always remember these type of games
  23. My dad was a Rangers fan also though had not been to a live game for about 8 years and had become scunnered with the OF , though quite the opposite as after he went to his first game with me supporting the Well he enjoyed it so much that he kept going back , bought the season ticket and was as glad as anyone when we won the playoffs His last win seeing the Well at Hampden before he passed on was the 2-0 semi in 2017 which was a great day
  24. I am happy with the appointment, obviously has no managerial experience though everybody has to start somewhere Hopefully it works out in the long run, as I don’t believe anyone would be as committed to Motherwell as Steven Hammell
  25. At the end of the day I would like to see the best candidate who was available at the time appointed After the results in 2022 and the football we have watched at times I would be quite happy to see anyone take charge who will get fans happy to go back watching the team and if results are not always the greatest then at least show a bit of fight and commitment
