  1. This was the same John Carver who was interim manager of Newcastle and claimed he believed he was the best manager in the Premier League 😂 😂 😂
  2. Must admit I had no idea John Ruddy had signed for Newcastle until I seen Motherwells Facebook post earlier Well done John Ruddy and Mark Gillespie, from a Liverpool follower 🏆
  3. Yes you could say this is it, the 1990s were my first decade supporting Motherwell so have happy memories of those kits. The 96-97 home kit makes me think of Ian Ross scoring against Celtic in the last minute, the white away top makes me think of Owen Coyle day at Ibrox The white kit mentioned from 1998-99 I always associate with a game I went to at Tannadice when we ripped Dundee United apart 3-0, stuff like that really Not suggesting the Xara kits were of great quality though
  4. One reason why I liked the 96-97 top He was class , almost bought it today but the queue was bigger than normal
  5. I will gladly take the point after being 2-0 down against a very very dirty St Mirren team Still in with a good shout of the top 6
  6. Another kit I liked was the 1998-2000 home , and also the white away top from the same seasons Was less of a fan of the Black kit we played in the night Pat Nevin scored against Hearts , think we only ever played in it twice. Both against Hearts
  7. I bought the 1989/1990 home top at the start of February, wore it to the Celtic game Must admit if the 1994-1996 was on offer I would have purchased it first , my favourite ever kit Do like the 96-97 home and 95-96 away also . Loved the old Motorola tops
  8. Delighted for Lennon Miller 👏 👏 👏 As a Scotland fan I have always thought instead of taking a chance with young talent we almost seem to hold them back . If you are good enough you are old enough
  9. Brilliant story , outstanding keeper for us 👏 That save at Celtic Park in 1999 from Larsson has to be the best save I ever saw live
  10. Tam Cowan talking about the goalie Andy Goram
  11. One reason why I was delighted with the win last week More often than not in recent years we have had poor performances against both of those mobs and some of the younger generation would have loved the win , when I first got proper into the Well we had some great days against both
  12. This popped up on YouTube earlier , have vague memories of this as a kid, my first game against the Gers Since there is no game this weekend we can have a discussion of wee Dougie , the hammer of the old firm
  13. Michael Wimmer now officially better than the special one , the chosen one Mourinho
  14. Not an ex player , but 10 home wins in a row at Bradford for Graham Alexander, a club record 2 points off the top of the league , well done 👍
  15. Sadly we will never get away from the whole Celtic and Rangers thing , and the fact some of their fans label everyone in Scotland as us and them I must admit I am not biased , I don't care who beats either of them . Providing of course it is not affecting our result , or league position, was speaking to an Aberdeen fan in work recently who has exactly the same thinking Some enjoy friendly banter , others overstep the mark Lost count of the time I have been called the H*n word who can't afford the busfare Flipside of the coin I remember speaking to a Rangers fan a few years back , he said I think we should call you Timmy from now on , when I asked why Timmy ? The best response he could come up with was well anyone who doesn't support Rangers must be a Catholic , that was an eye opener moment at the way people are , he wasn't even kidding either
  16. Skippy Sunday someone offered me £100 for my season book I politely declined , so glad I did Was a big fan of Scott McDonald
  17. Last season I was not so sure about Andy Halliday This season he has came on leaps and bounds , must be at least a contender for Well player of the season
  18. Great to hear that Andy Halliday was sticking up for us I don't have a problem with who a player supports , or where loyalties lie All u can ask for is that a player puts in an honest shift like he did , same as the likes of Davie Cooper, Bobby Russell and Tommy Coyne did
  19. That is very true , the way he handled Uncle Phil's death he has my respect always for that . His silly comments in his second spell let him down. Definitely don't dislike him as a person
  20. McGhee funnily enough overseen our last 2 league wins at Celtic Park I don't ever want to see him back at Fir Park though , his attitude in his second spell was a joke , and not in a good way
  21. Absolutely 💯 , having a positive outlook in these games definitely helps Baraclough in the playoffs , Robinson in the semi final in 2017 are two examples Really liked Stuart McCall but always felt he talked down our chances before a ball was kicked , 2012 cup game was a prime example when we were top of the league , and they were dropping points against the likes of Berwick and Peterhead , to be fair to Stuart he had a good record against Celtic
  22. Brilliant 👏 👏 👏 absolutely superb
