Didn’t exactly leak anything. I just heard that we were interested in Green and also knew we were interested in Ndjoli and we chose Ndjoli and Green signed for someone else.

Seen that was between him and Ndjoli.

Decent video for him playing for Bournemouth u21s make of it what u will for some that haven’t seen him. A welcomed addition who should do well.

I have watched many Bournemouth u21s games on the live thing and he was by far their best player which wasn’t even last season. Has been involved with their first team. Did OK at Killie and did ok when playing against us IIRC. Could well be a very good signing but he’ll be pretty unknown to most.

Ndjoli signs. Good player and will add something to the team we don’t really have.

Jordan Green from Barnsley is a goer so I’ve heard, could be useful for us in the second half of the season. See what happens.

I know he has returned for Celtic but is he actually mentally stable and in the right frame of mind to play football similarly to McCormack. Of course on paper he should be an excellent addition for us.

Clearly had problems in the first half of the season so maybe the training camp away has giving him so new life like Gorrin last season. O’Hara had a good solid game against Killie and at Accies every player on the park played their part in that loss.

I think we’ll see a lot more of Sloth in the 2nd half of the season. I don’t think O’Hara is as bad as everyone had made out and thought he had an OK game against accies. Not against Maguire playing there either but feel in the run in if Donnelly isn’t fit then O’Hara would be his back-up.

Of the wingers we currently have the only one to produce on a consistent basis is Hylton. James Scott is a good young player but still has a lot to learn, Seedorf the same, Ilic we don’t know much about and hope he can bring something. Long can play there if needs must and we bring in a better striker. Cole is away and he played quite a few games there as well. I’d say we need one with some added quality in that area if we are to push for 3rd spot.

If true he could prove to be an excellent signing. Same kind of mould as Ariyibi with flair and lightning quick that creates loads of chances. Would add that more quality I spoke about earlier with our wingers I think. Won’t get too overly excited but we aren’t linked with players usually so never know.

Cole showed signs he could score kind of consistently. Main wasn’t except his first 6 months, after that he pretty much had forgot how to score a goal. I actually really like Long when he gets the ball and gets going at people he’s very good or when played in behind but the problem with him is he tends to go in and out of games. He has proved that he brings something to the team and can score goals but the same thing is consistency in front of goal. However, ideally we’d like someone who will be like a higdon or moult for us. Be able to terrorise defences and chip in with goals and play well in our style. First and foremost for a striker is they take their chances in front of goal and we need someone to score 15-20 a season. Where as Long can score but seems more of someone who’ll hit maybe 10 a season.

Highly doubt this will happen this season as maybe we are pushing to get a European spot and have capped internationals like Sloth who can’t even get a game. IMO we add some quality to the team 3 or 4 fresh faces. 1 being a striker and the other a winger and 2 others depending on injuries and outgoings. Send some of the younger lads out on loan for experience ones like Semple, Devine and Cornelius. It was easy to do last season with young players as we were very very poor and basically had nothing to play for. This is a massive season for us. At this stage only really MacIver seems the likely candidate to work his way into the team as players in his position have been pretty hot and cold regarding form.

Having just watched the recent video from Robbo it suggests to me nobody will be leaving the club... Look forward to see what Ilic, Manzinga and Sloth can do in the second half of the season. Should still be looking to strengthen with a few fresh faces but nothing major. I expect there to be outgoings possibly Gillespie but anything other than that is unexpected except loans for youngsters like Devine, Cornelius, Semple and Maguire and more of course.

What about the 50% of coles wage that we were paying (around 2k approx) that’s based on playing for Wigan maybe 4/5k a week. I’m sure that’ll be now going towards Long. Should definitely be able to bring in a striker imo we should have more than enough given how much we received over the summer. We should maybe adjust our budget this year minimally to what a top 6 team would be if possible which should allow us to solidify at least that 4th spot but I believe we are capable of 3rd. We have a very good squad but 3 or 4 new fresh faces to freshen up the squad won’t do much harm.

May not seem exciting but I have watched him a couple times for Bournemouth 21s (I like Bournemouth) and he was one of the players to really stand out. Lightning quick and was scoring for fun, in his loans he seems to have been played as more of a winger. Scored 2 screamers for Killie and did Okay for them, also had good games for Gillingham in spells. Wouldn’t be a bad addition for the second half of the season and wouldn’t cost much at all.

Talk on P&B of Mikael Ndjoli from Bournemouth. Most likely a loan.

Purely based on boredom and us needing a striker, was looking through again and came across Liam McAlinden ex Wolves player and dwindled down the leagues. Ended up at Halifax Town this season on a short-term contract until now and he’s now out of contract and available to sign for free. 10 goals so far this season and attracting the interest of league 1 clubs. So I’m going to suggest we may be interested. Also a former Northern Ireland and ROI u21 international... time will tell. Another attacking option to look at may be Josh Koroma from Huddersfield, very talented but struggled for game time, very successful time at Leyton Orient last few seasons and only 21 so could see us maybe looking at a loan for him.

Guy has incredible skill and the making of a really good player. Has had a decent start to his Motherwell career so I hope he’s not offski.

Weird one that we’ve not signed anyone before the squad fly out to Tenerife tomorrow. May be 1 or 2 who turn up there... can see us bringing in between 3-5 players this window.

If a good enough offer comes in I wouldn’t be devastated as long as we got a fair deal and maybe even loan him back to us for the rest of the season.

As said on the former players thread Ben Heneghan looks to be on the move after a decent start to the season with Blackpool again. A lot of championship clubs interested in him so that’ll be sure to bring in some unexpected money from our sell-on clause, may not amount to much depending on our sell-on but it will go a long way for a club like us even if it’s 50k+ that we get.

I’ve watched a couple but I don’t go to them. I’d assume from the selection of the management team that he’s not on the bench yet is that he’s not ready yet. Would be a good idea to get some of the lads out on loan.
