Remember that trialist that everyone said was Benteke (me included) I think could actually be Johnathan Obika, just signed for St Mirren. Ex spurs youth and been about but no real scoring record and hasn’t always been a striker which surprised me when I seen him, he was a left back or left winger.

I wasn’t really one to complain about the artificial pitches but my god that was a horrible game of football yesterday. The passes being slowed down, dodgy bounces and spraying black balls.

He is a fantastic little player. Many will have forgot how good he was at times that season, as it has been that long.

Reserves got beat 3-1 off Killie first team. Cole scored a screamer, Sloth and Tanner both played and tanner played about an hour.

It’s our reserves against a Killie first team so I’ve heard. The likes of Devine, Semple etc. Are playing alongside first teamers who aren’t involved on Saturday and ones who need fitness, (Cole and Sloth) also with a couple of trialists could be more.

His goal run may stop here but I definitely think he will chip in with a few goals this season. Clearly has the ability hit a thunderbolt and score so I hope to see more of it. Agree with your other points, regarding performances, Hylton is looking absolutely class, and Carroll seems to be improving.

Donnelly a shoe in to start next week. Certainly silencing many of his critics.

We are playing Annan, so it’s a chance for him to show what he has and judge him albeit against a poor opposition but get to see a chance of what he could be capable of. Same goes for the rest such as Sloth and Long who are yet to be given a chance to showcase what they can do in the cup.

Gillespie; Tait Gallagher Dunne Carroll; Campbell Semple Polworth; Cole/Ilic Long Hylton. Hope to see tanner get some minutes if he’s in the squad. As well as to see how Seedorf gets on again and hopefully make an impact.

I don’t actually know if it’s an “amateur” league like it is here. The Belgian First Amateur League is the 3rd division of the Belgian tiers. Ultimately if a team in that league won back to back promotions they’d be in the top league. So I’d give an estimation that they are more likely Scottish championship level, could be wrong but I’ve actually heard of his former team. He also has a pretty decent pedigree coming from PSG. And obviously he’s been in over a while and the management team have been keeping a watchful eye over him so he must have impressed, of course that excellent overhead kick. I don’t see Robbo signing all these excellent players etc. To bring in a complete dud, so I’m not writing him off yet, more optimism like I’ve shown to every other signing. When we signed Hylton many doubted and rightly so but I believed he was an excellent player and proved correct.

Guess that is the striker I was told about then... I didn’t actually know who it was, I was only told a striker and didn’t even know the trialist was a striker.

Ticket office informant? If you are referring to who I know at the club it’s someone who has a lot more to do with the day to day running of the club and currently doing an excellent job for the club since they’ve joined but it would be very daft of me to reveal who they are, knowing you lot.

I also fear that it could be Josh Magennis aswell, and I don’t think that would be a great signing and I think others share the same opinion.

The striker we are bringing in (don’t know any names) is the budget being spent completely on him. There may be some more available money near the end of the window if we nerds must but I’m fearing it could be Lafferty. I hope it’s not tbh always played decent against us but doesn’t actually score that many goals and is always hot and cold.

Hartley also not surprisingly is our highest earner... tried to see if there were any takers for him but none so far, however I don’t think we are actively looking to pass him on now.
