Disagree with the statement above about Tait being poor for the last 6 months or so. I was at the Morton game and he didn’t do anything necessarily to stand out but didn’t do anything wrong. For me last season he was up there for contenders of POTY and my second to Turnbull. He is back in his own position now but played at full season and a half at the other side. So it’s good to see him back to his own side and hopefully see him produce even more than previous.

Tanner back in training could be another asset to our squad this season if he comes back and is anywhere near the same player he was.

I like the colour and style of the shirt but maybe not the same C&A band as the away. As for Paddy Power coming on board it should be an exciting time, record breaking deal for our club, they are massive in terms of advertising and social media. They also do some funny and entertaining stuff that goes hand in hand with our social stuff. With us and Huddersfield being their only sponsors so far and I expect it to stay that way we will get plenty of publicity and that can’t be a bad thing.

Is there another new rule where u can pass it out from a goal kick and be allowed to retrieve the pass in the box? We did it many times last night so I assume it’s part of the new changes this season.

I think after the recent performances we will see Cole, Long and Scott battle it out for the starting spot up front. The only other acquisitions I can see is a midfielder or centre back but that would only be for cover.

I actually don’t see the big issue with Donnelly it seems like he has convinced many Well fans he is up to the task but other still have their negative opinions. He definitely looked comfortable on the ball, won tackles and headers, he gets stuck right in. As for Charles Dunne I thought he absolutely strolled last night and actually seemed comfortable on the ball and driving out from defence a few times, great touches to bring it down out of the air instead of just lumping it right back up. He and Gallagher will be a great pairing, will also Carroll who seems a very decent big player at left back, which we’ve missed for years. I 100% see us making the top 6 if we can play like that most weeks.

You’ve just posted for me there. Agree with absolutely everything Seedorf aswell has some crazy pace. Every player works as a team and has some real dig. Carroll finally looks like a left back who is capable of stepping up to the plate, something we’ve missed for a long time. Great performance tonight and the team looks excellent but don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves. Donnelly as well was excellent and is getting better each game and only seen him give away possession away once and won nearly every header. GOING TO WIN THE LEAGUE...

He’s been training with them all summer and play in 2 games that I know of against Arbroath and Stirling Albion. He hasn’t actually joined up with the squad either.

You are 100% correct, not often we agree. There is interest to bring him in on trial but he has a few options.

Lee Lucas was actually a good player anytime I watched him, probably should’ve been gave more of a chance when he wasn’t injured which was his main fault for not making it here. One game in particular stands out to me was when we beat Ross County at Fir Park 4-0 I think, he was outstanding.

Are we actually arguing over a team who had what 7 youth players come through to the first team last year, could be more. Just because we have lost out on 2 who will make us plenty £££. Some nugget now saying we should shut the academy... One thing we don’t need to worry about at the moment is not producing any youth players our first team is full of them and it’s excellent to see.

I’m sure I mentioned on here or P&B when all the Leicester and West Ham interest in MacLear was going about that intact he was going to Norwich from what I’d heard. Seems to be a good prospect and it’s never nice to lose players this way but we move on and let the next player develop further.

But how do you know that they players can impact the game from the start if u don’t test it. Ariyibi is a similar player to both Hylton and Seedorf, he could 100% impact the game from the start. Bringing a player off the bench to make an impact isn’t always going to work.

Well I usually go on holiday late June time and would always like to get the new kit for taking with me on holiday the last 2 years I’ve had to wear the black away kit which I do really like. Last year I didn’t buy it as the home strip was the usual boring C&A nothing special and the away was nice but not worth it for me. This year I like both and would like to purchase both of them.

Since there is a lot of worry surrounding the striker spot I thought I’d have a look around at players we’d be looking at and would suit our style. Was looking through potential loans and Sam Surridge came across, plays for Bournemouth and would no doubt be available on loan. 6ft3 striker and scored a fair few goals for Oldham last season from the start of the season to January which led to him being recalled. Robinson being an ex Bournemouth player could possibly look at his situation to see if he’s available. I personally would like to see how Cole and Long can perform up top in the competitive games.

Carson Tait Gallagher Dunne Carroll Donnelly Campbell Polworth Hylton Cole Seedorf You could say Semple deserves to start again but he should get his chance in the games against the so called lesser risk games. Polworth should get his chance to stake his claim against some good opposition. Would like to see how Cole performs through the middle and see how useful he could be there rather than out wide as his favoured position is up top and his pace will be very useful there. Of course after Saturday both Hylton and Seedorf should start and see how they get on from the start and continue their positive starts in C&A.

Hopefully we can see Cole play a game or 2 in the No.9 spot before making any judgement. Long is a very capable performer at striker and could score some goals for us. So personally I’d rather wait until we definitely need someone in that position as we already have 4 strikers for 1 spot.

I’d say we’re due about 300-400k for hastie that’s a reasonable amount to pay.

From looking at some of his Instagram stories it seemed he was a kind of happy character and a big part of the dressing room, could be wrong. Looks a decent player and has played at a good level, am I right in saying the team he signed for supposedly are pretty decent?

Also seen that Gorrins old team, a weird one but on the players social media he didn’t post anything about signing for them.
