I think if we play with players like Cole, Long and Hylton as a more front free, obviously I’ve named 3 but including Johnson I wouldn’t be against a interchanging front 3 in a game, mix it up a little and you will always have a good option off the bench. Johnson can score goals if given the ball but just has to use the ball a bit smarter.

I’m pretty much the same I got an email the other day to say I had to collect my season ticket from the office, however, I already had my card last season so kind of thought it was just be re-activated aswell.

I wouldn’t be against us bringing in another one but IMO one would have to go out on loan or leave. However first I’d like to get see them in action first and see what they can offer as we already have enough in that area. I would say we are maybe a winger short (trialist) I assume we will get to see more of him tomorrow against Darlington, then we can hope to bring in Ariyibi maybe further on in the window. I would say we may lack number defensively and possibly a right sided defender on loan? Or maybe another midfielder? I’d say one more signing before the betfred cup starts and then we can judge the players in real competitive games and assess where needs improved.

Seemed to do pretty well at livi over the last 2 seasons but had a few injuries last season that stalled him a bit. Can’t see use looking at anymore strikers at the moment until we know how good they all actually are.

I’d be willing to wait it out for Ariyibi if possible, we still have time to sign a winger. Lad on trial I presume is another attacking player and possibly a winger so that is another in the door. Of course we have Hylton as well who seems to have started pretty well into his new life. Long and Cole are also very capable of playing wide but striker is their main position. Tanner is fit may come back into the fold and play wide and also polworth is an attacking player who can play wide. So maybe 1 or 2 and we are pretty much sorted.

Wasn’t made up I seen it on twitter which is clearly where a big discussion was going on about him, so I brought it to the attention of the folks on here that he was on trial. Wasn’t as if I had actually been given any info.

Nah I just seen it kicking about on twitter and I had sent in the photo of the player but not once did I say it was definitely him thanks. Some decent patter from you there though 10/10.

Guessing game is about to start as trialist number 1 has been identified.

He is out of contract so no fee involved he is already away from Ayr aswell.

Surely we could offer him similar money and he’d be willing to show some ambition to play as high a level.

Still very early in the window for his future to be sorted but quicker the better of course. I’m now more interested in who we bring in to replace his goals, not necessarily his position as I can see Polworth taking that spot.

I thought maybe the deal had been pulled after the leaked images and the deal hadn’t been announced over the weekend so it made me wonder. However after speaking to one of his family members he pretty much said it’s a done deal and were just waiting on the medical and Norwich actually offered 5k extra a week but no guarantee over game time. Meanwhile the situation regarding the Celtic deal and medical may have changed as this was yesterday morning.
