Get Main aff for McCormack!

This actually makes a lot of sense if we save money for the summer and invest etc. I’d love to see McCormack up front but think we will play with him as a deep lying forward like how ojamaa played which is still essentially up front. I would probs say the best option for us is to buy some big cunt on loan either young or not getting games elsewhere n has a decent eye for goal, get Newell out and Main possibly and of course Sammon but that’s not possible from what I’ve heard and either have Scott on the bench and pushing for a place or send him on loan then in the summer buy someone on a free or small fee from what’s available.

Took him 3 attempts to get it to him. Has no plan B to get past a man everything is one dimensional. So Ariyibi didn’t offer anything? But he beat player after player and I could see he wasn’t 100% fit aswell.

A honestly don’t know what people see from Frear beats his man 1 out of 10 times. Far too weak and clearly not cut out for the level his time at Motherwell for me is finished he’s had his fair share of chances. Agree re Main he should never play in a Motherwell shirt again his time is up and Johnson would be more effective as a impact sub.

Mate what game were u watching Frear is nowhere near good enough for this level, and I used to rate him when he first signed.

It’s grest for them and would love to see them progress into the first team but don’t get ahead of ourselves before they’ve even played a first team game. Just because they are in youth squads doesn’t mean they automatically become the best youth player ever just look back through the years rarely any who actually get full international caps have actually played for the youth levels.

So the best crop we’ve ever had wasn’t the ones that won the clubs first ever Youth Cup or been performing at the top end of the reserves for the last couple seasons no? Well I don’t think you are quite getting it. I understand where u are coming fromyes maybe a few of them look promising, but what indication from the u18s has suggested that they are the best crop we’ve ever had, hyping up a bunch of 16 year olds who haven’t even started more than 2 reserve games over six months of being a full time footballer is ridiculous.

That is the point completely and the club signed 8 last year to show their movement to get into the top tier of the youth for project brave. With you saying but “best crop we’ve ever had” then surely if they are so good and already involved with the reserves due to training everyday then surely they’d be able to push some of the reserves out to gain a regular place like what happens at every other club. Mostly they aren’t even making the bench though which is my argument and look for example, the lad Semple widely regarded as the next big thing who we fought to keep here instead of going down south who rarely every starts or has a regular run of games, he would always come off the bench.

Wouldn’t entirely say it’s the strongest crop we’ve ever had seen many better young well teams in my time. There hasn’t been many appearances even for the reserves from the u18s squad with only 2 or 3 often only making the bench and a few rare starts.

Probably a 1 year deal with the view to cutting it short so they can find another club but agreed it won’t cost us anything
