Long season awaits as I suspected

Always need to have money left for transfers incase of your biggest assets leaving or injuries etc. and now at CB we have no depth with only McHugh, Donnelly and Hartley capable of playing there.

Carson Tait Donnelly Hartley ATS Mchugh Cadden Campbell Main Sammon Johnson/ Frear could even start 442 with cadds and Frear out wide and sammon and main up top.

I know it’s came from the manager but how can we possibly have no money for new players. Why have we spent money on players like Liam Donnelly or even brought in Gorrin who I do think is a decent player. We desperately need a CB with pace especially with Dunne out, also I would hate for any of our other assests to leave now as I think we’d struggle because I don’t think we are going to be the same team as last year.

I see Humphrey has been rejected by St Mirren, but tbh I’d have him here mainly for cover at RWB/ RM but could be a good bit of pace of the bench if the money is right.

I rate bigi very highly but if robbo doesn’t fancy him then don’t waste his time and wages on someone we don’t need, especially when we have players like Turnbull, Brown etc. All in the reserves for his position. Same with the strikers if a acceptable bid came in for bowman I’d take it frees up debts, wages that we don’t need plus I’m not so sure he is a player that will carry us this season as much as I do like him. You also have young James Scott who has a bright future and played well in pre-season.

Must disagree with you there saying that’s his level, thought he had was a decent player at RB at the time nowhere near the standards of Tait and others. And Twardzik was actually a no bad keeper aswell when he played I remember the 2-0 Celtic game he was outstanding and was part of the team that won 6 on the bounce if I remember correctly.

Must admit I was very impressed with ATS when he came on looks a player.

Decent performance tonight but not impressed with the hoof ball tactic every 2 minutes but whenever we get on the ball and play we look good. Carson was outstanding with many class saves.

Perfect example of why we didn’t win today! 2 players just walking about without a care in the world.

What happened to the signings extra by the end of this week?

Currently on trial at livi and his brother is playing with hearts.

I read the Darlington match report and seen that they included the “Motherwell manager prompted to ask for his details” about the lad the scores their goal, Harvey Saunders. Only 20 so a bright future ahead, wonder if we will see any movement on this in the next few weeks.

Having seen a few things about Tony watt floating about I wouldn’t be against giving him a pre season and chance to impress. He does still look in decent shape and could add something to our team albeit possibly as backup.
