  1. Have been a huge critic of Hastie this season, but today was encouraging signs from him and the rest of the team. For the life of me can we stop bringing on Jordan White when we are winning it’s bad luck and he’s p1sh. Was pleased with that first showing and at least we are out of the bottom 2, definitely still need some new players in though.
  2. If you listened to the managers match preview interview he says how Mo Ross is still involved.
  3. Seems like Mo Ross is staying as coach then always thought he was an excellent addition and well respected coach, glad he staying
  4. I’d always say if it was rumours from twitter, however most transfer things is from a source and usually spot on, always going to be things that are wrong though, that’s the nature of it, so I’m not pretending to be anything.
  5. Of course, however at Motherwell the manager is pretty much also involved in the coaching side of it with it only previously being Robbo and Las who took training, this since Ross has joined the first team staff and first team performances have dropped, coincidence I don’t know, was only passing on information (not just from forums) that Ross was a negative influence at the club.
  6. How do you know he raised standards, and reserve management is a pathway to senior management to allow you to showcase managerial skills, granted more so development but every game they set up to win the match and very rarely with him at the helm the team won. Such a well respected coach wouldn’t be managing in Norway or the Faroe Islands. Give yourself a break also with your constant responses, do you have notifications on for my posts?
  7. From what I’ve been told about him at the club he was a total banger and a part of our downfall ever since he joined the coaching staff. Never covered himself in glory when in the press or public all he spoke about was rangers.
  8. Was all over rangers forums and a well respected coach would’ve had far better jobs than what he’s had so far, poor results for the reserves also.
  9. I think it’s like every manager the scouts have there list of players the recruitment team and manager work together and I’m sure the manager will have his own list of players, both go watch games etc. With regards to new managers they usually have a few players they bring in with them, and their choices of how to improve the squad and then work with the recruitment team to identify new players.
  10. Heard this also, rumoured to be that Mo was the bad egg around the club, and he was running about Ibrox up and down the stairs with a laptop acting like a twat. Odd character never really liked him or had much opinion of him. Also glad to see Lasley staying at the club and like previous reserves managers im sure he’ll be involved with the first team in some capacity at least this season with no reserve team as such.
  11. Alexander has been offered the job... should be announced tomorrow all going, TW is the second choice apparently.
  12. Seems like our new manager will have a new keeper in Liam Kelly be confirmed soon hopefully.
  13. Take your point with Robinson as he’s a NI international at all youth levels and made a first team appearance for Oldham but he is only here because of his dad, he’s actually an option that we could’ve used at Left Back where he did play, clearly not getting a game at QoS though.
  14. If they were as good they’d be in by this stage of the season, I’d like to know where I’m wrong though?
  15. You questioned my statement so I gave you an answer. End it there with your clear problem you have with myself.
  16. Well you’ve summed up Turnbull thanks for that. However Campbell came in and straight away showed heart and desire, tough tackling and in about everything with no hesitation. Scott got a few games and did decent held up the ball well and gradually got better and better. Hastie came in from a loan at Alloa, and was in scintillating form for a few months and earned a deal to Rangers. Having watched the reserve games quite a good few times and had others tell me, from my perspective Devine and Hussain none are big commanding leading centre half’s won’t make the grade, Cornelius doesn’t really have much from what I’ve seen not really a tackled a scored not someone that is going to get people off seats and certainly won’t displace anyone in the team. Johnston young lad haven’t seen much but he’ll probably get a chance sooner rather than later. Others out on loan like Semple been a bit part player for Cove Rangers who are top of the league, been pretty anonymous in his few cameos for the first team, Harry Robinson only here cause he’s Robbo’s son. PJ Morrison been around for ages isn’t the answer to the goalkeeping problems. Need the list go on...? What I’m saying is none have the ability to come and force there way into our first team even in our poor state even Barry Maguire can’t get a game and he’s the same not a great player but could possibly do a job and further ahead than others. We’ve had a great run of youngsters all come through at the one time unfortunately, not every age group that comes up will make it and that looks evident to me at the moment hopefully that changes and I’m proven wrong.
  17. My top 3 would be Simo Valakari (we’ve already approached) however he’s just recently moved a few months back. Ian Holloway, good manager at high levels will have some very good contacts and has always good the best out of teams usually. Graham Alexander, relatively young and ambitious with fresh ideas, probably unfairly sacked by Salford this season with them in play off spots, will have knowledge of the Scottish game, had a decent start to managerial career and could be a stepping stone.
  18. None coming through at the moment with that WOW factor to come in and play consistently, look at they players you named above they had something and added it to the team, what do the current crop have? Not much from what I’ve seen over the last couple years of their progress.
  19. I’ve had no email from them except my sign up confirmation and the letter through the door with all the goodies.
  20. Totally agree here and for most Motherwell fans who are ST holders and WS members like myself, ever since I signed up to the WS away back 2 years ago there is very rarely any updates and dan decisions etc for a so called “fan owned” club and nobody really bothers with decisions off the park when it’s all going well on the park but like at the present when chips are down, serious questions need to be asked. And all fans should have a say no matter if it’s £5, £10, £200 a month etc, 99% of the fans will have the clubs best interests at heart and realise we can’t be spending millions on players of even high hundreds of thousands on players.
  21. What is so wrong with the current training facility at Dalziel though? They get the full use of any grass pitch they like, and the Astro, not bad changing facilities etc, a huge set of land for improvement in the future. Yes there is no gym etc but that’s used at Fir Park anyways which is 10 minutes away and they all travel to and from there for training. For something like a training ground that hasn’t even started planning permission etc, I’d much rather us squeezed whatever possible into keeping us up and the same should have been done at the start of the season, I’m not asking for consistent 3rd place finishes but you expect to improve and try replicate that for a club our size and maintain top 6.
  22. Major overhaul required, we are trying to bring Rolando Aarons back on loan, a player like him/ Ariyibi we’ve missed that kind of creativity in many games this season, first and foremost we start from the back though and go back to basics, players like Grimmy etc should be hunted as well as the likes of lamie, mugabi, Chapman. Harsh reality when you look back that a club like us let go 2 leaders of our squad for a few years in Hartley and Tait to bring in far worse players.
  23. I totally get both sides of the argument regarding Crawford, personal opinion he’s a decent player and plays for livi so he works hard but they’ve got a really strong midfield, he’ll do exactly as Robinson says. I don’t see the point in youth players who haven’t really kicked on in the last few years of being on the cusp of the first team hanging about for another season, 6 month loan then evaluate how they’ve done and give them a chance if they’ve played well. However I don’t agree with the let’s pay Livingston money for 6 months for a back up midfielder. Why can’t we go push the boat and sign a player of real calibre and class like Aberdeen, Hibs and Killie are, someone like a Scott McDonald in his second stint etc. What our squad is lacking right now is experience and player with a smart football brain.
  24. Always enjoy the rumours of how much the fee is...
