I actually thought some of our passing was decent in spells and on thar surface its always a struggle. We got into good positions but Moses and Roberston were'nt up to finishing some of it off. Far from a sterling performance but I do think there are signs it might be OK. Final cross ball into the area still a really weak point. Blaney cant dominate as he should for a guy of his size. Marks outta 10 I'd say 5/6.

Oxford United wanted Cadden but didn't want to pay the compensation fee of £400,000 he then went to the MLS where he played 8 games before going to Oxford United for fuck all. I'm still not convinced him and his agent didn't play us. The fact we finally got the fee to me is immaterial, I think his behaviour was suspect. A game we should have had wrapped up before Clyde equalised with a comedy of errors from us. There were pluses and minuses all over the game. Thought we looked far more Direct than we did last season. Paton and to my surprise Halliday drove us forward pretty well. Still not convinced about Blaney. Finishing was woeful. I never said it was inaccurate I stand by my point its misleading. A loan is debt and if you take on debt to create a profit on a balance sheet its accounting worthy of the water companies. So if we took on a loan every year and create a profit balance every year folk would rightly query why if we went bust why we went bust when we were making profits every year. Its nonsense.

Folk can dress it up however they like a loan is not a profit and if it results in a profit on the balance sheet it is not a true reflection of the operating costs of the club. As I said typical accountants smoke and mirrors. So the clubs reported profits over the period of fan ownership would be a loss because we are treating a £3million loan as operating profit in if it were not included we would show a £500,000 loss. The devils always in the detail.

The expenditure on pitch and ground improvements need to stop being referred to as a loss and almost certainly take a double take at any profit declared if it includes the £3million quid 20 year loan. Such accounting behaviour , although most certainly not illegal, completely distort peoples understanding of the clubs operating finances. Devils advocate here. Would you accept it if it cost the investment team £2 million to buy but generate additional £1/£2 million a year revenue excluding player sales.

If we could why have we not done it before? This is the WS big problem , they apparently can come up with something better now, but why has it taken so long? what have they been doing for years, what investment opportunities have they identified or been working on all the time we've been a fan owned club.
