said that last night at the game, Dundee are far from the worst team we've played at Fir Park. Any one of 6 possibly 7 teams could end up in the play offs or go down. Even DU, had we beat Dundee Utd at the weekend we'd both be on the same points. I think Dundee Utd are extremely unlikely to be in the mix but they've lost 4 from their last 6 so they need to get their act together. With so many teams so close to each other we will all cut each others throats so a real unexpected could end up going down. If St J can beat Dundee at the weekend the cats is right among the pigeons. Id love it to be St Mirren 😁

Correct, fans will accept it if things go wrong and they can see what the teams trying to do. No matter what any manager says it's still an entertainment business and I think a few fans may have stuck longer with SK if we lost but we're pushing teams hard, playing a bit of football and creating chances. SK stuff was utterly turgid. Games with not a single effort on goal even against pish. Main priority was not to lose never to win. No width to our play, boot it long all game, it was utterly mind numbing. Even if we hadn't got the winner last night most Motherwell fans, though disappointed, would have seen some entertainment and that we may be progressing. None of that was happening under SK. Last night I enjoyed my first game in months. Even the Aberdeen win we played for 15 mins thankfully got two goals but the spent 45 mins being dominated by 10 men from a team who didn't win a game in 15.

Dochertys post match interview on Sportscene was utterly delusional. He thought Dundee were by far the better team and created enough chances to take all 3 points. Ido agree I've see worse teams at Fir Park than Dundee but his analysis was a mile out.

Love it when they prove me wrong. Never saw that coming. Night and day to the utter, utter dross we've watched for months. No failures in the team every one of them burst their arse for the cause. Losing the late goal it could have been so easy to retreat and try and hold on for a point as we'd have done under SK. However they kept pressing forward. When its a single goal the opposition is going to throw the kitchen sink at us. I don't care what the SOD haters think , and I agree he's been poor of late , but he covered every part of the pitch tonight and put in a lot of saving interventions. I sincerely hope the squad is better than I give them credit for but its been a bloody long time since we play football on the front foot and that was enjoying to watch, although nervy at the end.

I have zero confidence in the abilities within our squad so will be no surprise I think the best we will get is a draw but expect a defeat.

Thats my biggest concern , there is nothing between the teams from 4th down the standard is abysmal across the board and we never look like beating any of them.🙁

Correct and even if we had we have a completely ineffective midfield who offer them no supply.

We've lost our last 6 games never looked like winning them. We taken 8 points from our last 12 league games. There are 12 games left. If we get the same return points wise that will give us 39 points at seasons end. That will put us in the play offs or take us down. Where these winnable games are I'd love to know. We've won two games out our last 12 and never looked like winning 9 of the other 10. I accept I'm more of a glass half empty type. Dear god I just don't see where this turn around is coming from. I think the similarities between us and the Hibs team that collapsed from January, after being 15 points clear of the play offs spot in January, until seasons end are uncanny. They kept saying they had winnable games and they never appeared. Id dearly love us to fluke any kind of win tomorrow but I just don't see anything other than a defeat because we have a poor squad.

I think the manager has a free hit until the end of the season. Hes inherited dross .. in the, still unlikely, event we went down the blame would lie squarely with SK.

In all my years watching Motherwell I've never seen a player who was having a shocker who actually got better with fans berating them. There is zero evidence to suggest its anything other than destructive. Mind you if they ever see me with my head in my hands they will know how bad they are playing ... 😁

Abusing any player during a game is utterly pointless. Even though I'm a generally pessimistic and frustrated when it comes to the dross we watch far too often, I never abuse any player during a game, its not going to make them play any better. If you want to vent your spleen do it on here or other forums, that only upsets the happy clappies and I don't give two fucks about them 😁

He deserves much of the criticism of late but we have players who are just as bad but they dont get as much as SOD does. He is an easy target.

Correct there was an improvement but still poor, its still a major worry when teams don't play that well against us but just need to get their noses in front and we are invariably beat.

It will take a few weeks and that is a major headache for us as we are on a complete downward spiral right now. A win puts us 7 points ahead of Dundee and thats a bit of breathing space but sadly I've been saying "if we get a result" since we were 4th and its just not happening so Im not hopeful for Wednesday. We just need a lucky win.
