  1. we got a penalty for the exact same thing against Ross County.
  2. Being a Motherwell fans seems to be enough for some of our supporters neither Cornelieus or McKinstry has merited a starting place.
  3. was as good home crowd today , if we could just brake this bloody cycle of around 4000 every week which seems to have been our standard for years. What a difference it make to the atmosphere.
  4. We were really poor in the first half. Utd could have been 3 - 1 up by half time. Much better second half we stopped the aimless punt and started trying the pressing game on the deck and eventually ran out comfortable winners.
  5. I agree there are inconsistencies. The introduction of VAR never promised every error would be eliminated but if the media, especially ex player pundits, would just take a deep breath and ask has VAR allowed officials to get more right than wrong and it has. The issue is the media need something to obsess about and pundits need something to talk shite about. If a game has 4 VAR interventions 3 are right 1 is wrong all they focus on is the 1 wrong one and VAR was never a promise of infallibility.
  6. Traditionalists get on my tits. If it was left to them we'd still play with a bladder stand on ash terraces ,
  7. Thats my biggest issue with VAR it takes far too long to arrive at the decision and the officials are bloody shocking conveying the the outcome. Even after the ref checked the monitor he ran all the way back to Kelly had another wee chat before pointing out that the penalty had been overturned. He should have clearly signalled before that. The fans frustration with VAR would be eased if the Refs were mic'd up as they are in Rugby so everyone knows what going on. How often have we heard the Tannoy announcer saying there is a VAR check after the check has been done and dusted.
  8. VAR has its issues or should I say officials have issues with VAR. However the correct decisions are made more often than not. Those who want it binned would be clawing the roof down if RC had won that game had both decisions not been checked. As for those that whinge because offside is called because its a heel or hand they get right on my titis. what cant they cant seem to understand is that is now the level to which offside is looked at. What do they want, do they want it left vague so its open to interpretation ? all that does is cause more arguments. Its now either offside or its not and that's a good place to be.
  9. Thought we marginally shaded it in a very poor game. Cant comment on the Var decisions until I see them again. But we did the biz and thats all that counts. SOD had another good game.
  10. I'll be honest I couldn't care less if I never saw Motherwell in another European game ever again. Other than the financial rewards the actual competition would put you to sleep. We've played in 36 European games how many of them have been edge of the seat exciting with with great atmospheres .. if it covered 5 games I'd be amazed. For those who love it great but for me I'd rather have an exciting Scottish Cup tie where we may have the chance to achieve something. European Football at all levels bores me to tears. It's set up to suit the big clubs and the rest of us are just chaff in the wind.
  11. Not for me the more bigger that out resource us that drop out the top division means our task to stay up next year is slightly easier on paper.
  12. I'd sell my soul to put the final nail in their coffin I detest Dundee Utd
  13. Not for me, by that measure we would have looked for a hefty sum for Curtis Main if he'd still been under contract and Curtis Main would not have attracted a hefty sum. Our position is not precarious in virtually every season until the turn of the year because it's only then you see how a season is going and this year our position was more precarious that's is been in fifteen twenty years. I think had we been sitting free from relegation with nowt to play for the Chinese bid would have been accepted . KVV value at the start of this season would have been infinitely less than it is now.
  14. Playing hard ball is fine if there aren't conditions already agreed between the player / agent / club about the kind of offer we would accept.
  15. I think the amount offered was due to the fact it was during our season and the purchasing club needed it to go through before the Chinese window shut. The fact we refused it would be more down to our precarious league position rather than assuming the bid was too low.
  16. If it all happens as he's saying we can have no complaints he's treating the club and fans with respect although a big loss we cannot grudge him his big pay day
  17. Read a couple of rumours online that KVV off to Aberdeen. That would be a major disappointment. I don't like players going to other Scottish clubs to come back and damage us.
  18. I was sitting behind someone eating a dinner pie, it smelt revolting, mind you I can't even go into a kebab shop because of the smell of that dog meat on the rotary.
  19. Don't think I've ever seen Motherwell cruise to victory at 1-0 🫣
  20. Hopefully neither Lammie or Mugabi will make up the central defensive partnership. Their time with us should be up.
  21. Was curious to see how many points we wouldnt have got had KVV not scored. I realise that games could potentially have panned out differently but just on the cold hard stat of removing all his goals from our fixtures would have seen us 15 points worse off that we are now. Relegation certainties. A big void to fill in the summer.
  22. The VAR delay put us right off our stride. However it's still a game we should easily have won 4-0. Kilmarnock are utter shite. Though I dearly love to relegate Dundee Utd on the last day of the season.
