Do as well is relative. No matter how he does or doesnt do Dundee UTD will win exactly the same as us which will be bugger all and will have cost them alot more. Even if they get the european place they will be out on their are after 2 games. So is it worth the investment over a 3 year deal??

but what is the definition of fail
-
Is Lamie injured or is his pending Pre Contract agreement putting him out of GA's team selections too.
-
Exactly move him out in January, we don't need his distraction. We must concentrate on players who do want to play for us and win a place in the squad. I'm reasonably confident his departure will be negated by the current squad and some January arrivals. He's history and joins the Gallagher, Hastie , Cadden, Tait and Wishart list of cunts who left leaving a bad taste in the mouth and suitably boo'ed every time he plays against us. Hope he's as successful with UTD as Gallagher is proving with Aberdeen. I'd really piss myself if UTD ended up in the play offs or even worse. Id have Tom Boyd on the cunts list but he left in an appropriate manner but has become a huge cunt since.

i dont think we played very well , we worked our socks off , scored two good goals but the general standard was poor and not as good as recent games but to win in such circumstances is excellent.
-
and lets be honest what are we really sucking up? at seasons end , even with TW, UTD will win exactly the same as us...... Fuck all. The only difference they will have paid out alot more money than us to win fuck all. The futility of Scottish Football in a nutshell.
-
Scotsman reporting Dundee Utd prepared to pay a 6 figure fee to take TW to Tannadice in January.
-
There is an argument for that however the fact its another club who will be competing with us to possibly get 4th. I wouldn't potentially strengthen their team this season. Although the track record of guys leaving us an actually being successful is mixed at best. There are a few exceptions but most go on to achieve nothing , earn more yeah but never quoted again in terms of bettering themselves as players. Murphy , Gallagher, Craig , Delameux, Cadden, Tait, Main to name a few all ended up with or went straight to up diddy SPFL clubs and frankly none have never made me worried about facing them.

I wouldnt overtly punish him for exercising his rights I just think we should immediately seek replacements and give them a starting place before him. If it doesnt work by all means then start him.
-
it was extremely unhelpful. However our first team selections after the break should give Shields an extended run as well as Ross Tierney. Watt should only come into first team 1st choice thinking if we look like we are struggling. However initially someone whose signed for another SPL club should be down the pecking order. We got over the loss of Gallacher with little or no impact and TW will be replaceable , just remains to be seen if he replaceable in the short or medium term.
-
we can if we get decent replacements in the January window and the only way we will know is to play them.
-
I know the arguments for playing him but afraid I'd be planning for the future. He can sit on the subs bench until his ultimate move. We need to get used to playing without him and hopefully GA has something to cover for his loss in the January window. As I've always said "Beware the Badge Kissers" it means fuck all.

The paper talk doesn't seem remotely vague , it states quite clearly he's signed a 3 year deal with UTD so I don't think its just paper talk. Paper talk is generally where they are taking a punt on a story and printing speculation. Rarely if ever have I seen the papers report someone has signed for a club and it isn't true. Plenty times they say Player X will sign and it doesnt happen.. There is no dubiety or speculation in the story.

if there had been bigger and better offer than Dundee Utds he wouldnt be going to Tannadice.
-
it always baffles me the amount of fans that think most players are in it for what they can achieve and not what they can earn. if true move him out now we move on to our next Tony Watt.
-
I agree Id move him out in January , there would be a fans reaction for the last 6 months that could unsettle the whole team. I think the leak is designed to force Motherwell into that position. Can only hope we have a replacement lined up.
-
if it wasnt for his goals we'd be in relegation bother. If we can replace him in January its no loss but its not that easy.
-
not if they are doubling his wages and if hes going to United no one better has come in for him.
-
if that was the norm everyone who has left us would have become shite, last i looked it hadnt happened.
-
A risk worth the money I suspect ...
-
not necessarily he could be equally comfortable at another club.
-
Why would he struggle
-
"anything you get is a bonus, it's the results against the other 9 teams that count" most telling line , beat before we start. its OK to get beat cos we don't expect anything , prepare the groundwork for nothing and get nothing

There aren't many better jobs to be sacked from than football management. It may or may not be short sighted , Hibs waited too long to punt Butcher and paid a heavy price. Many of our fans think if we hadnt changed manager at the same time last year we'd have gone down. Robinson saved the club the decision and that was on the back of two cup finals in one season. Frankly what a manager did last year means sweet fuck all. Hibs should have been 3-0 down to us if we'd had our shooting boots on. They've taken something like 4 points out their last 27 and they are basically pish. Its easy to says its harsh but there's an argument for swift action especially in a league where it doesn't look like there is a racing certainty to go down and give the rest some breathing space. If St Johnstone win their game in hand on them they are 3 points off a play off spot in December, for a club of Hibs resources thats shockingi

I can see the argument for the names you mention particularly Sutton and Coyne but Stevie Kirk took 61 more games to score 4 more goals. However Im sticking with wee Dougie , as I said way earlier everyone will have their own favourites and reasons why.
