  1. Im gonna have a wild guess and plump for Dundee as his next club.
  2. Completely indifferent to his departure, he is infinitely replaceable.
  3. It is indeed I don't know how many times our fans need told about the money for the ground improvements. The money came from a substantial loan from the Scottish Govt which was offered on no interest payments and could be paid back over a period of twenty years. The club would have been mad not to take a loan on those terms. The money could not be spent on players or staff wages.
  4. I'm not asking you to trust fcuk all. I don't rate him you do end of story , time will tell.
  5. Corneleus is a lightweight its got feck all to do with a wee mistake. Hes very easily dispossessed and isnt particularly strong in the tackle. He does have youth on his side and that may improve but for me doesnt particularly add anything.Thats the reason he warms the bench more often that not. Nobody would be more delighted than me if he became a mainstay of the team but don't expect it to happen.
  6. I think not. Goss is technically a better player of the ball than Cornelius, in my opinion. The fact they play different roles is immaterial. Goss can ride a tackle Cornelius is far too easily muscled out. Goss reads the game better than Cornelius. Cornelius is to prone to be a headless chicken. Hes young enough where that may improve. Would it be harder to replace Goss in his role than Cornelius in his role ? I think the answer is yes. For me Goss is a better asset. Cornelius is very replaceable within our budget.
  7. See Tony Watt says he knows who hes playing for next season. My moneys on Dundee. Apparently Dunne going to them. Hope they take McGuire too.
  8. I would aghree with all of that other than Joe Efford. He was bang on form just when he got injured. He had a slow start with us but he was turning in some great performances. I'd offer him another deal.
  9. Name the last 32 year old playing in the SPFL who cost the buying club £2 million never mind £4 million.
  10. Kevin Nisbet is 26 , whether we like it or not being 32 puts a definite limit on KVV salability. I'd be amazed but delighted if we get 7 figures. £750,000 tops is what I think it will be. Love to be wrong. However there are three parties in this agreement that need to be happy, the player, his agent and the club.
  11. 2-3 million for a 32 year old is most certainly pricing him out of a big money move he's earned.
  12. we got a penalty for the exact same thing against Ross County.
  13. Being a Motherwell fans seems to be enough for some of our supporters neither Cornelieus or McKinstry has merited a starting place.
  14. was as good home crowd today , if we could just brake this bloody cycle of around 4000 every week which seems to have been our standard for years. What a difference it make to the atmosphere.
  15. We were really poor in the first half. Utd could have been 3 - 1 up by half time. Much better second half we stopped the aimless punt and started trying the pressing game on the deck and eventually ran out comfortable winners.
  16. I agree there are inconsistencies. The introduction of VAR never promised every error would be eliminated but if the media, especially ex player pundits, would just take a deep breath and ask has VAR allowed officials to get more right than wrong and it has. The issue is the media need something to obsess about and pundits need something to talk shite about. If a game has 4 VAR interventions 3 are right 1 is wrong all they focus on is the 1 wrong one and VAR was never a promise of infallibility.
  17. Traditionalists get on my tits. If it was left to them we'd still play with a bladder stand on ash terraces ,
  18. Thats my biggest issue with VAR it takes far too long to arrive at the decision and the officials are bloody shocking conveying the the outcome. Even after the ref checked the monitor he ran all the way back to Kelly had another wee chat before pointing out that the penalty had been overturned. He should have clearly signalled before that. The fans frustration with VAR would be eased if the Refs were mic'd up as they are in Rugby so everyone knows what going on. How often have we heard the Tannoy announcer saying there is a VAR check after the check has been done and dusted.
  19. VAR has its issues or should I say officials have issues with VAR. However the correct decisions are made more often than not. Those who want it binned would be clawing the roof down if RC had won that game had both decisions not been checked. As for those that whinge because offside is called because its a heel or hand they get right on my titis. what cant they cant seem to understand is that is now the level to which offside is looked at. What do they want, do they want it left vague so its open to interpretation ? all that does is cause more arguments. Its now either offside or its not and that's a good place to be.
  20. Thought we marginally shaded it in a very poor game. Cant comment on the Var decisions until I see them again. But we did the biz and thats all that counts. SOD had another good game.
  21. I'll be honest I couldn't care less if I never saw Motherwell in another European game ever again. Other than the financial rewards the actual competition would put you to sleep. We've played in 36 European games how many of them have been edge of the seat exciting with with great atmospheres .. if it covered 5 games I'd be amazed. For those who love it great but for me I'd rather have an exciting Scottish Cup tie where we may have the chance to achieve something. European Football at all levels bores me to tears. It's set up to suit the big clubs and the rest of us are just chaff in the wind.
