  1. I think Ross County were one of the best diddy teams last season they played decent football , unlike us, Spittal was pivotal in their side. Weve signed an SPFL proven standard player .. what the hell do our fans expect would they rather we keep signing shite from the Conference in England.
  2. Totally agree Lammie and Mugabi have to be our central defence and sign a half decent left back.
  3. I think I'd need to disagree in part. I agree if the manager picked players for their right position and played a decent formation we might see improvements. However for me OJala is quite simply awful .. slower than a week in the jail and positionally naive....Solholm I don't rate either however I think his inadequacies could possibly be lessened by strength along side him.
  4. I'd be happy with that. No matter what anyone says ... He's better than what we have. Plus his form since coming back into the team can't be faulted. Sure he may have some errors in him but name a Motherwell player that doesn't.
  5. With the style of play GA favours Davis talents would be wasted , even if he was good enough.
  6. He reminds me of Stuart Carswell and pretty much same ability. Not convinced either. More than happy to be wrong.
  7. None of that will give them pace or decent positional sense. Both can go anytime.
  8. Pretty much agree but contracts wont see that pan out .
  9. I accept all of that but even taking that into account it still doest explain away not just our poor but utterly appalling record against the OF. One day I'm going to sit down and compare our record over the last 10 years compared to other top 10 teams. It may be my imagination but I suspect its got to be one of the worst if not the worst.
  10. I could actually stomach some of the pumpings if they were offset by the occasional victory.
  11. From our current squad Id keep Kelly, Lammie, Slattery, Shields, Tierney, Van Veen, Cornelius and Woolery the rest can go as far as Im concerned. I know it doesnt pan out like that because of current deals etc but I really dont care about the rest.
  12. I grew up in an era when the OF didnt like playing us in the 70s 80s and 90s , sure we took some beatings then too but at least we could land a glove on them every other season to compensate. Not now its just an endless procession of winless games..they now must piss themselves with excitement facing us.
  13. Ive accepted it was my mistake however my 10 year stat wont be long in arriving. Hopefully someone can dig up a stat that says James Mcfadden as a youngster that wasnt the last Motherwell player to secure 3 points against Rangers. Cos that one irritates me greatly too.
  14. Only other games Celtic have beat teams by more than 5 goals V Dundee 6-0 V St Mirren 6-0 ( st mirren had man sent off) V St Johnstone 7-0 V Motherwell 6-0 Thank god we aint as bad as that bottom 6 shite LOL
  15. Oh my mistake 9 years thank fuck cos otherwise it was looking pitiful.
  16. 6-0 was not unexpected ? Really? Its a bad day if any of our fans expected 6-0 today. Pathetic spineless clueless.
  17. Yeah but youd think we'd occasionally get it right in ten years
  18. Doesnt really prove that. Every motherwell team for the last 10 years has been shite against Celtic. But when you lose twice to Dundee once to St Johnstone and 3 times to Dundee Utd you have a point.
  19. I knew Robbie Neilson was talking pish when he said we score 90% of our goals from set pieces....condescending runt. 10 out of 42 .....24%.
  20. I have hated watching us most of this season a lot of it has been turgid but even GA's fiercest critic has to give him some credit. Having watched Motherwell for over 40 years I've seen Motherwell teams a damn site better than the current one achieve absolutely fuck all. So for this team to get European football is a huge. Sure we have been helped by the fact 10 of the 12 teams in the SPFL are pish but you can only take on and compete with what is in front of you. For those suggesting we sack GA it would be sheer madness sitting where we are. That said if we continue into next season playing the way we have questions could be getting asked in September / October. However that is a discussion for another day. GA has probably exceeded every target laid in front of him for this season and for that we must acknowledge it and give him credit. I do genuinely want GA to succeed but remain on the undecided bus whether or not next season will see an improvement in the quality of our play. Well Done EVERYONE at the club ...
  21. Dont bet on it they are jammy bastards this season
  22. Thought today was an awful game and showed up our many limitations however just like the Livingston game the only thing that mattered was the result. The players stuck to their task and we were LONG overdue a bit of luck which we got. Dundee Utd are utter shite. Taken 9 points off us and have never been the better team. I think they are the Jammiest team in the league. I got a terrible feeling they'll fluke some kind of result tomorrow.
  23. Nail on the head ... our game management was awful. Our passing in possession also awful. Taking the ball off our players is like taking sweeties off a wean.
  24. 1 point from our next 3 , we can analyse everything to death but we are basically a mediocre (bordering on poor) team with a manager who instils no confidence in me whatsoever. However he will have met the target the club set him so we wont be sacking him. If I was a betting man I think there is a good chance we will be sacking him in October. We weren't lucky to get into the top six, we got the necessary points required , there is no other stat required. Yep we've been garbage for most of the season but half the league have been worse. Similarly we weren't unlucky yesterday we just weren't good enough. Doesn't matter a fuck about near misses. You get the same for near misses and no chances at all. Tierney wasn't unlucky when he hit the post, the Dundee Utd defender closed him down sufficiently well that it left him no space to get the ball in the goal. Woolery hitting the bar was not unlucky it was poor finishing. Tierney wasn't unlucky with the chip it was just rank rotten play. Dundee Utd got a fortunate deflection for the goal however had our finishing and final ball been better it wouldn't have been so costly. We don't have the run of result we've had for nearly 5 months because of bad luck. We have been so consistently poor that any good fortune the opposition might get finishes us off. The opposition just need to be patient against us nothing else.
  25. well at least something would be cemented cos the players couldnt trap a bag of it.
