Totally agree I think had Lammie not scored that last minute header to get us into the top six he would have been punted then.

We don't know who expressed an interest. There could have been some great applications but outside our budget. The club are not in a precarious position. The Well society have cash reserves. The stadium had been updated using cheap Government funding and have played two games into a season. GA was punted to ensure we don't end up in a precarious position. Precarious is being Dundee up to their arse in debt and in the Championship.

None of the names mentioned were inspiring. I certainly wasnt excited about Valikari, Lambert, Thomson and the like ... The market we operate in its highly unlikely to get someone to excite anyone.

There are positives in that he's been watching the same utter shite we have for 8 months so he will know probably better than the other candidates where we need to sign players whereas the other candidates might have taken longer to suss that out and time is of the essence.

Why would Valakari do a job for us , why would any of the names do a job for us. Remember folk falling over themselves with joy when we appointed GA. Said at the time I didnt rate GA and he did nothing to change that view. Truly the worst football I've ever watched. As I said every manager we get is a risk. I just happen to think Lennon would do a job for us. As someone has already said its not even a consideration just something throwing his name in but I remain in a position where it wouldn't upset me if he was in the frame.

I wouldn't read anything into that, we haven't even held interviews yet. Mcbookies odds are no more a predictor of who it's going to be than this thread is. Bookies merely reflect betting patterns bugger all else.

Im in a minority of one. I couldn't care less who we get because no fans myself included are in anyway qualified to determine whether someone will be good bad or indifferent managing Motherwell. There are no guarantees no matter who they are. We will get who we will get and those in charge of the club are paid to do the necessary due diligence.

GA was a risk, Robertson was a risk ..frankly everyone is a risk. Thats the nature of the beast.

Id imagine there were a few dropped jaws within the club at Liam Kellys comments and "operation salvage relationship with the fans" was quickly drawn up.

Then when he got a lower budget the utter shite he assembled including his brother.
