  1. I dont give a flying fuck if McManus was upset he played like a complete tit sold the Jerseys for the umpteenth time since he came to Fir Park. Instead of being down do your job on more than 50% of the time you play, if you cant leave.
  2. They have been beatable every game since they went t1s up but that makes no difference, they are utter shite and will beat our hapless mob without breaking sweat.
  3. Download Mobdro app onto your android phone if you got one and get every channel incl all sports channels for zip all.
  4. Been saying it for months , Motherwell fans loose the ability to see a player for what they are when they see pace. I remember Motherwell fans going overboard about Eliphas Shivute . I said then he was utter pish all the pace in the world but never a player in a million years. I was howled down by many a Motherwell fan at the time who thought the guy was the next messiah. The same applies to a lesser degree with Johnston. He has plenty pace and will destroy diddy teams but put him up against competent SPFL team from the top division and he'd disappear. The guy is at best average and £1 gets you £1000 the headlines tonight are the last headlines Johnston will ever make. £500,000 is an excellent deal for him.
  5. I like that ... Daisys Player ... that sums him up perfectly. Hes over rated by many Motherwell fans. Sure the club can chance their arm for £750,00 but frankly anything North of £450,000 will be a good deal for a player of questionable ability at the top level. He looks great against p1sh but put him up against a half decent Aberdeen, St Johnstone team he doesnt look so hot, never mind against the OF. Cadden is the real deal not Johnston.
  6. sorry mate that just smacks of the usual apologist viewpoint the entire football establishment in scotland wallow in.
  7. We certainly will never compete with them in singular games with the attitude and complete lack of belief we far too often show against the OF
  8. We give Hammel a 2 year contract so McGhee thinks we will be fine with a 37 year old at left back. Lasley , McManus, Hammel should never had new contracts given to them.
  9. Our fans are a hoot, we paid £50,000 for him a year and a half ago and are getting sniffy because clubs wont pay 20 times that. He isnt 20 times the player we got from kidderminster To suggest he one of the best players in the country is stretching belief. He has many good attributes and plenty bloody awful ones still to be knocked off him. To suggest anyone bidding less than 1.25 million are at it is ridiculous. Hes only worth what someone is willing to pay for him. We are fortunate we can hold out for bigger offers but theres no guarantee on his achievements so far that a 1 Million pound offer is anywhere near achievable..... yet.
  10. All this talk about the league cup sections being better than pre seasons friendlies seems to infer that they replaced the pre season friendlies they didnt they just moved them forward. So the actual competitive structure hasnt changed from our normal start to a season, its just moved it forward. The LC format is just as dire as it was in the 70s. The only upside is the attempt to have competitive games in the "better weather". I realise this year the weather been shite with all the rain but folk that say our weather isnt much better in the summer than the winter are just talking bollox. We have seen from the broadcasters reaction there is money to be had by filling summer schedules with football. However thats where the upswing ends. Look at the attendances at the LC ties this format hasnt improved them one little bit. The LC is an utterly devalued tournament and has been for 20 years, fans are really only interested from semi finals onwards. The fact we let some teams enter late is just making that worse. Seeding is actually killing alot of sport cos it basically rigs the outcome. If we want to try summer football let try it and move the real stuff into the summer months and if it doesnt work change it back its hardly difficult, although Scottish football and traditionalist always find a way for not doing something. there is zero imagination from the clubs and the suits. In my 40 years watching Motherwell the changes have been 1. all seated stadia, forced on clubs 2. Introduce league cup sections, tried and failed 40 years ago. 3. Introduce the winter break, tried and failed 10 years ago 4. Change the number of teams in the Top league to "allow development" and produce better football, tried countless times and every one utterly failed. No wonder the games is dying on its arse , Scottish football only re-does things that have been tried and failed and we wonder why our game is still shite. Einstein definition of stupidity was "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome". Christ we cant even name our leagues without copying our southern neighbours. Those running our game really do get money for old rope.
  11. At least we will have had 3 more games in a cup than we normally get. Our defence and midfield are still cack so even if we score a few you can bet your mortgage we wont stop the opposition scoring in the next two games. The tournament is every bit as dull and boring as the mini league format in the 70s.
  12. Im not wanting much between now and the nd of the season... 1. Us to finish in top 6 2. Us to play Celtic last game in top 6 3. Celtic to be winning the title up to the 90th minute of that game 4. Scott McDonal to score against them and hand the title to Aberdeen No much to ask for....
  13. Aye but the clubs business acumen will have made that assumption based on us winning the Scottish Cup LOL
  14. Even if we didnt come back up what are you seriously missing. Big games againt Killie , ICT , Ross County , Accies , Dundee ...
  15. We will just need to agree to differ Id be pleased if he got the right choice 40% of the time. Anywhere inside the 18 yard box is in a dangerous area just because you;ve put the ball in there doesnt mean the ball is any use. Ill be happy to be proved wrong but am pretty confident hes cack. I thought McHugh was cack, Leitch was cack, Carswell was cack and plenty more besides that others were always asking us to give more time too and unsurprisingly they stayed cack. Ive seen hundreds of players like Jonhston, folk see a wee bit of pace and they are hooked. However Ill be delighted to hold my hands up at seasons end if my views on him have been harsh.
  16. Johnston is utter cack an utter imposter. Motherwell fans always seem mesmerised by pace. He offers fpuck all from heart to performance. "He put in a couple of decent balls" yeah and the majority were utter shite. "He got two players booked" Id much rather he did something i couldnt do
  17. Was that not one of the 2 / 3 games when Boyle took over and charged a fiver to get in. We had two games with crowds of 9 and 11,000 those games would have disproportionately boosted our average for that season. I clearly remember them. There was a wow feeling this was a new dawn , it was just warm weather and a fiver no new dawn.
  18. All interesting stuff but for me the decline is due to Scottish Football complete and utter inability to do ANYTHING imaginative to change the product. The product is completely stale . My match day experience is no different to it was 40 years ago. Forty years ago 1. I knew my team could never win the league that honour would only go to two teams, today its still the same. 2, Forty years ago the blazers thought changing the numbers of teams in the league changes anything , they still do 3. Forty years ago instead of promoting their own product differently they constantly bitched about football in England and "the we can't compete" syndrome they still do. 4. Forty years ago they were considering the winter break as being forward thinking, it wasn't but they still do. 5. 40 years ago they ditched the League cup mini leagues as a season opener because fans hated it and they wanted to make it a short sharp tournament, 40 years later they've wrapped up the same old sh1te they had then and try and convince us its new. The demise of Rangers was sold as an utter holocaust , particularly by Motherwell, instead of seeing it as an opportunity to break the voting strangle hold the OF had over everyone else and try to be really innovative Aberdeen side up with Celtic and when Rangers return the voting strangle hold they have will still be in place. The custodians of the Scottish game (ie the clubs) are collectively incompetent and only ever want to support a corrupt set up that favours two teams and ensure the rest get at least 3 big gates a season without having to try to hard instead of trying to create a competitive league to boost attendances at all games. If people were told who would win the Golf majors every year for the next 40 years and the R&A and PGA went out their way to ensure the same two players won everything do people seriously think crowds at the majors wouldn't plummet. If there is an opportunity to be missed or fpucked up Scottish football would do it. As soon as Rangers demise happened the clubs, instead of wringing their hands and screaming Armageddon, should have approached the TV companies and said how much will you give us to move to summer football , instead or trying to compete and compare with down south fill the TV schedules with a Scottish product. Sell the product and chip away at this myth that Scottish football is desperate compared to everything down South. use the extra money to make meaningful changes.Even if moving to Summer Football failed theres an easy answer change it back but for FFS try it. In England the match day highlights are on immediately that night when fans are still excited and talking about games. In Scotland its days later when most fans have less of an intensity about the events on the Saturday. Who agreed that TV deal. Cup draws , in England the excitement is kept up and the draws made after the games and fans get to listen in on their way home. In Scotland we hold the draw back for days and make it live on TV on a Tuesday afternoon when every buggers at work, seriously Scottish football couldn't sell water in a dessert. Clubs do absolutely fpuck all for visiting fans the cost are horrendous and that's where the biggest fan loss has gone. They should make it £10 across the board for all away fans. The numbers are now so low they'd make more money with the increased number of fans travelling. They could look at the points structure to try an invigorate the game. There are a ton of things they could have and should do but they don't. They just want fans to turn up shut up and accept a completely uncompetitive set up. They have quite blatantly broken their own rules to support corruption in relation to one of their biggest clubs. Unless it involves changing the number of teams in the league or re introducing other tried and failed concepts as new the custodians are utterly bereft of any original ideas. The only thing that has changed in my 40 years watching Motherwell is all seater stadia, which was forced upon them and giving the refs a can of foam. The only real surprise is that we actually have anyone who still watches our game with the complete and utter fuuds that run it.
  19. We were cack Craigans talking out his butt. No one worth man of the match.
  20. If it was Robinson at the centre of the bust up you gotta ask what is gained by keeping him on as Craigans sidekick in the interim. Hardly conducive to ongoing team harmony which makes me think he wasnt at the centre of it.
  21. That will be why Alloa are second bottom of the league cos Dans the man.
