its a game that i dont pay much attention to even the line up because the outcome is almost written in stone.

I do remember my uncle telling me a story about him and another uncle going to Parkhead in 1958 and with Motherwell 3-0 down they left to miss the crowds on the buses. He used to always get the Pink Times for the football reports on a Saturday night and said he nearly fainted when he saw Motherwell had got a 3-3 draw.

I know I joke but I remember in the 80s we were playing St Mirren at Motherwell we were in our usual relegation struggle. . We were 1 -0 up with 3 minutes to go. St Mirren got Drew Jarvie out his wheelchair and brought him on as a sub , he scored the winner we lost 2-1. Drew Jarvie was 90 at the time . Its the Motherwell way.

Yeah but Dundee Utd carried a huge amount of luck too. On another day Rangers would have stuck 6 past Utd. 4-0 for Rangers without them breaking sweat. OJala and Solholm are slower than a week in jail. Rangers have far too much pace for us.

not necessarily unless Forfar or Motherwell would have been allocated the same ball number in the draw , if it was allocated alphabetically or based on seeding we wouldnt have got Rangers. Had it been Alphabetically we would have been away to Dundee Utd . Rangers would have been at home to Hearts, so sad I worked that out. Thats what insomnia does for you

thats been my biggest bug bear in the cup anytime the OF have been knocked out early we've fucked up against pish. Hearts v Gretna Final we get fucked 3-0 by St Mirren. Hibs V Livingston League Cup Final we get put out by fecking Forfar on penalties.
