Where we are now is down to what’s happened over the last few years. Robinson, Alexander, Hammell, Kettlewell. I would say they are all relevant to where we are now.
Robinson signed more players of a good standard than three managers combined have since, on I would think the same budget. People used to go on about the previous recruitment,( was it Foyle)under Robinson but he had a way better eye for a player
Need to beg Robinson to come back, a proper manager that knows how to keep a club safe in the league. Everyone since him has been a downgrade. Kettlewell will be sacked after this and no doubt another loser will come through the door and take us down to the championship.
I think we’re past that point and they both know it. They need to be playing first team games and it’s going to be limited at Motherwell as neither are quite up to Premiership level.
And of course it’s been the same for years. Given that it’s a bit strange some people think it’s suddenly going to change. You would think the pre season predictions of doom would have dissipated by now given it never actually happens.
He did and he was indeed old school. But underrated? not for me. I wish him well but he’s playing in the championship next season for a reason, he’s technically around top championship level. A number of Motherwell managers did not have him as a regular starter which tells its own story.
Losing Kelly would be a huge blow. Regarding KVV it’s not long ago he was taking stick. He’s in his 30s and has never had a season like the last one in his whole career and it’s highly likely it won’t be repeated. I don’t think half a million plus add ons is that bad given many would have happily taken 50k for lazy Kevin not that long ago
