  1. Sadly we’ve been going downhill slowly both with management and recruitment from the time of Robinson leaving. I would say five/six years ago the standard of players we had was higher, and even they were getting stick but it’s now just a massive squad with players that can’t even get in lower league teams down south. I’m not actually sure what the answer is, changing manager after manager certainly does not work, having a big squad does not work, the youth development brings in cash at times but it’s not generating results. Sadly it seems next to impossible to grow the attendances, they hardly move upwards even when the club is doing well, yesterday 3973. It’s difficult to see anything other than another manager coming in who signs more players before a percentage of the support gets on his back and he’s out of the door. The clubs needs some long term consistancy.
  2. It's pretty obvious ST would never come back after some of the abuse he took and why should he. However no one is going to convince me that anything I’ve seen since he left has approached being up to the standards he set. Given the budget he had we had players that worked damn hard for the team and actually cared, we could do with some of that toughness back. I know some people don’t like to talk about budgets and think we should have a higher standard of football but that’s Scottish football in general. Anyone that’s decent goes down south the first chance they get because even National league clubs with rich owners can pay more in both transfer fees and wages. Bigger clubs than Motherwell with way more money up here are way worse. I’ve always said some supporters have their heads in the sand thinking the grass will be greener with someone else in charge, well it’s simply not and this is probably as good as it’s going to get. I rarely post on here these days, just get a bit frustrated with one or two individuals who seem to love what they see as failure which gives them the opportunity to throw some abuse around. What I do know is this is not a good look for the club.
  3. Where we are now is down to what’s happened over the last few years. Robinson, Alexander, Hammell, Kettlewell. I would say they are all relevant to where we are now.
  4. Robinson signed more players of a good standard than three managers combined have since, on I would think the same budget. People used to go on about the previous recruitment,( was it Foyle)under Robinson but he had a way better eye for a player
  5. Need to beg Robinson to come back, a proper manager that knows how to keep a club safe in the league. Everyone since him has been a downgrade. Kettlewell will be sacked after this and no doubt another loser will come through the door and take us down to the championship.
  6. Are you ever happy about anything in your life ?
  7. I think we’re past that point and they both know it. They need to be playing first team games and it’s going to be limited at Motherwell as neither are quite up to Premiership level.
  8. Is money not always tight at a club like Motherwell ?
  9. And of course it’s been the same for years. Given that it’s a bit strange some people think it’s suddenly going to change. You would think the pre season predictions of doom would have dissipated by now given it never actually happens.
  10. He did and he was indeed old school. But underrated? not for me. I wish him well but he’s playing in the championship next season for a reason, he’s technically around top championship level. A number of Motherwell managers did not have him as a regular starter which tells its own story.
  11. Trouble was he could not pass a decent ball to save his life.
