  1. There is no doubt the huge increase in wages would be one of the things that would influence a move, it would for all of us. But it’s a huge opportunity to play in one of the most high profile leagues in the world so a good few factors to take into account.
  2. My feeling is he will move on next month, if that results in a higher level of compensation then we should hopeit happens at that point. Unless there is a feeling he is the difference between retaining a top flight status or not, I don’t believe he is.
  3. Turnbull is far from the finished article for sure but let’s make no mistake he is a class above everyone else at the club. Even when we struggle he shines with his overall ability, his maturity and composure is high for one just breaking into the first team. People say he should stay and gain experience, I think he would be mad not to take the opportunity to head down to the premier league. First of all his wages will rocket but even taking that out of the equation he will be playing with better players, better coaches, and I have no doubt will pretty quickly establish a first team place, he won’t be phased. He’s very much premier league quality in the making and in my view will go on to be a regular International. We are going to take a financial hit at first but hopefully gain a percentage of future transfer fees when he moves to a top six team, and I have no doubt he will.
  4. You would need to get hit in the face from a high velocity football first, should that happen you can be assured that our chief exec who actually seems to care about the punters coming through the gates will sort you out. Or maybe he and Lasley who also has a love for the club and has himself given many years to it should be, what is the phrase used “ Hunted out”.
  5. It will certainly be a far better game because Killy won’t play hoofball. No idea what team he will play, depends how upset he is with certain players. Daft this is it’s just like us to actually bounce back and give a far better performance. Killy favourites but I would not count us out.
  6. Saturday was awful but I will still be there Boxing Day. Needs to be a big improvement for sure but it’s the game or sitting around with the in laws while they talk about their medical conditions.
  7. And i’m pretty sure he is aware of that, Lasley obviously did the post match interview yesterday but i’m sure Robinson would not have sugar coated it himself. He knows that was not even close to being good enough and it was one of those that see managers sacked on the back of. For me he’s going to have to pull two or three signings out of the bag in January that are slightly more high profile with a little more quality. Supporters are losing patience, even those around me who are normally pretty easy going were screaming for the ball to be played down on the ground on Saturday. Needs to be a lot better over the next couple games even if it’s just starting with the actual performances. I would take a couple of draws at this point.
  8. That depends on the remit he has from the board. If his stats are well below their acceptable level he would be gone.
  9. Oh i’ve never said he is perfect, the same way no manager is perfect. I just believe the fact we are struggling is not just down to management, other factors also play into it. Injuries to just about every key player in the squad ? the budget ? International call ups for Cadden and Campbell ? He certainly is part of the reason we are struggling, can’t deny that for a minute but i’ve seen enough over the years to know the grass is not always greener and the vast majority of clubs that swap managers too often fail. Listen managers are judged on results and if we lose enough he will be sacked. I would still give him until the summer and then make a judgement before releasing the playing budget. I personally still think we won’t be relegated this season under Robinson and you do. But you stated we would be relegated under Robinson last season and frankly you were way off the mark.
  10. We could well lose the next couple i’m afraid, Killy will have too much for us and Hamilton will fight touth and nail at their place. Problem is i’m not sure just how we can change things with the players we have available. Campbell looks like he needs a break, Biggi is a liability, Rose now unavailable, no Cadden, Gorrin probably not the right option. Up front you would not start with Bowman or Sammon and still no Tanner. We need three or four new players in January if possible, wide man and another forward a must, but he needs to offload a few.
  11. Try worrying a bit less mate and looking for everyone to lose their livelihood. It’s Christmas, season of goodwill and all that.
  12. I look forward to you posting to this degree after the next win. This really has just made your weekend.
  13. My point was only about today’s performance and the suggestion we could have gone into today’s game with confidence and had a better chance of a result. I don’t believe anything would have made today’s performance any better. Of course playing the first choice 11 against Celtic should in theory have increased our chances of picking up extra points. Anyone at today’s game however would probably laugh off any suggestion that group of 11 players were capable of anything against a rampant Celtic at home. One or two suggested we were facing a pretty poor Celtic side in midweek, I would suggest given their results, dominance, and goals over the last few games at Parkhead that was total nonsense.
  14. Interesting, they certainly had more at certain points in the second half but I would have thought our first half possession alone would have swung it in our favour.
  15. I’m not sure it made a difference either way in truth, no real excuse for what was an absolute horror show. It’s rare I can’t pick out a couple of positives but I can’t think of a single one from today’s performance. In my view we faced possible the worst premiership team i’ve seen in my admittedly short time supporting the club and yet we were little better other than the higher percentage of possession. Not a single player came out with pass marks today, I’m not even totally convinced any combination of subs would have made a difference. No composure and a total lack of quality shown on the day.
  16. Just a note on Burrows today. The netting’s behind the goal mentioned can’t come soon enough for that period before kick off when the players are practicing shooting. Again today one kid hit in the face and an older guy hit by the ball while going up the steps with pies. The pies fly in all directions and within five minutes Burrows comes round into the stand, finds the old guy, then goes down into the stand to the catering section and brings him replacements. Can’t think of another chief exec that would have seen and done that.
  17. I’m a realist. Since I started watching the team we have had Barraclough, McGee, and Robinson. Either the club keeps making terrible managerial appointment mistakes or working with one of the smallest budgets in the league actually finds you struggling to put together a squad of real quality.
  18. It won’t be exciting for sure but if the board have said the objective is to retain premiership status and then try and move forward when the debt is paid off it’s correct. If it’s improve every year while playing attractive football he’s failing.
  19. The same as it’s always been, as long as we stay out of the bottom two he’s safe.
  20. Well that was awful, he will no doubt get pellets now for resting players against Celtic if it’s not already happened. Not going to bother reading back because i’m sure it’s back to Robinson out time.

    AGM 2018

Hopefully so, we sit 3 rows up in the stand along with many supporters with disabilities and it’s crazy trying to dodge balls when they have the movable goals set up which is right in front of the section block booked for members of the disabled supporters association. Game before last one youngster got hit right in the face by a wayward shot from Bowman. We’ve also had seats damaged around us.
  22. Good luck to the guys today, setting off with plenty of optimism.
