The vast majority of players we sign are wait and see signings. No one was raving about Moult, Kipre, Dunn, Aldred, Hartley, Main, but they did ok. Given the last 12 months I think Robinson and Foyle know a decent player.
Difficult to believe it won’t go ahead. For a manager to say it’s over 99% done it would take something totally unexpected such as a player having a very last minute change of heart. Maybe a small change to the contract.
His comments about us in the Record in December.
“Battle is an appropriate word for the challenge Barton is preparing himself for today, judging by his scathing view of the approach taken by Hamilton and their Lanarkshire neighbours Motherwell.
He said: “I can remember playing them at theirs earlier this season and it wasn’t a nice game at all.
“Now I understand why Scottish football is getting the name it does which is a shame because there are a lot of good players and teams in this league.
“But for some reason the mentality up here is just to head it and kick it which I’m very surprised by.”
Some of his performances last season suggested he had forgotten how to do both.
To be fair Robinson has done well. He seems to be able to bring out the best in players that were hardly setting the world on fire at other clubs, Hartley and Aldred both far from rated by fans of their previous clubs just two examples.
Yep, the 3 million sales was mentioned on tv yesterday. The words “ Worldwide fashion campaign” pretty much sums up you can sell anything if you throw enough money at it. The sales are obviously also due in part to the popularity of the Nigerian team just now, 10,000 supporters at Wembley, they could have pretty much sold anything. The Roma top further up the thread shows a bit of class. But hey personal opinion and if the above makes more money.
The top can change in many ways as it has with different designs. I just don’t like adding patterns and prefer blocks of straight colour. They can keep all their paint splatters, blocks, swirls for me.
I prefer to think increased sales due to a very good season and increased optimism for next. The club is looking very healthy and we should all enjoy it while it lasts. Lots more positives than negatives about the club both on and off the field. A hell of a lot of supporters around Scotland would love to be in our shoes.
Grant not sure if this is something for you but the main website which is obviously the first link for many people wanting to get in touch is very difficult to connect to. It’s either got problems or just can’t deal with more than a few individuals trying to access it at the same time. I end up giving up most of the time.
