  1. I would be very dissapointed if we did not push to keep Aldred, he’s a quality player and surely would not cost a fortune. Kipre will be gone in January I would imagine.
  2. See he has just been released by Sheffield without making a league appearance.
  3. Heneghan and big money for Kipre was some good transfer business.
  4. Very solid foundation, we are maybe going to lose Carson and one other but not huge changes needed. I would like to see Aldred signed up but then maybe four or five strong additions depending on how many we let go.
  5. I’m always of the opinion that we go out and play our game and leave the conspiracy theories to Celtic and Rangers fans on super scoreboard.
  6. If you look at both Celtic and Rangers over the last 10 years I would argue they have not supporters the development of Scottish football.
  7. I think if any clubs were to receive stick for none Scots it should be Celtic and Rangers.
  8. I have to say I hate the conspiracy theories simply because it could also infect the thought processes of the players and their performances. Looking at the two cups this season we have beaten Rangers, Hearts, Aberdeen. Personally I think it will boil down to how good we are on the day.
  9. Would he ever really fit into our style of high tempo, in your face football though. To me the game just passes him by most of the time and with Main as our focus up front Bowman just works better. Pretty much the same way Biggi is never going to work in midfield.
  10. Can’t see him staying in Scotland, probably end up playing somewhere like a Turkey. It’s a shame because he has undoubted ability but he’s simply not up to a level of fitness that’s acceptable for this league and I don’t think he ever will be.
  11. Lets just pick our strongest team and stop worrying about injuries, it’s football and players get injured, whether during a game, in training, or even at home.
  12. I think he’s often unfairly judged by the supporters, but then I also think that about Rose who also gets stick yet offers a lot when he plays. But yesterday he was rank rotten and I don’t think he’s the right individual to be captain. I would give that to Hartley when fit and back in the team.
  13. Yesterday was a strange one and I still put it down in part to Kipre and Tait been rested. You would think Carson, Aldred, and Dunn had never played together and Carson was just not communicating with his defence the same way he normally does. Words were said between him and Aldred a couple of times in the first half and the space and time the St Johnstone player had for the cross for the first goal was crazy. It’s very true that we have a strong 11, we struggle when we have injuries or want to rest players but given our resources that’s understandable. We are never going to have 20 players that can all step up to the mark and it’s a tough ask for a younger player coming in replacing Kipre.
  14. A good few will be trying to take them back, never seen so many people leave so early. The family of five next to us left with 30 minutes to go and they have never done that before.
  15. Honesty for probably the first time I can’t think of anyone that stood out.
  16. Well that was awful, i’m not a big fan of resting players and today showed why. We missed Kipre far more than any team should miss a single player, it effected the rest of the defence big style. Let’s be generous and also say the replacements for Tait and Bowman hardly covered themselves with any credit. I thought we actually started ok but we just fell apart after the first goal and we are certainly a team that can be awful if we stop doing those things we are good at. McHugh was simply terrible and no real surprise to see him not return to the field after half time although why our Celtic loan player did is anyone’s guess. Can we please just play our strongest 11 in the remaining two games rather than mess around and destroy the players confidence in the run up to the final.
  17. End of the day Celtic have more technically gifted players and if they are on top form they are highly likely to have too much for us. If we play our game, high tempo and in their faces and they are not at their best we have a chance, maybe not a huge one but it’s not impossible.
  18. Just play our strongest team, keep the players match fit, and if injuries happen, they happen. No point over thinking these things because the only chance we have in the final is high tempo in their faces and that means fitness not sitting on the bench in advance of the game.
  19. Anyone know why we were wearing the away kit today ?
  20. Grimshaw for me, huge work rate especially in that first half, he’s getting better game on game and could have a real influence in the final in my view.
