You’re on form tonight.
-
Fair enough for me, it’s the reality of football in the modern era. Although my opinion that 200k Would be a fair transfer fee for him was obviously nothing short of nonsense so what do I know.
-
There is no doubt he has a level of quality missing in many of our signings over the last few years and Kettlewell is bringing the best out of players. Given that I don’t see a problem with him staying. We can hopefully build something around those better players next season and a fit and motivated SOD should be an asset.
-
Good job 👍
-
Organisation and workrate which have both increased. The players we had were performing worse than would have been expected, a good few went backwards. I’m afraid that was all down to management. I think the word at the time was that no manager could get a tune out of this squad and yes it’s been improved but my goodness the whole squad looks new.
-
I would imagine going out early does make the club little or indeed nothing. I guess the hope is if we have a manager that can put together a squad of players on a budget that are well organised we can do rather better and not just make some money out of it but actually raise the profile of the club. That in itself may be of more benefit over the longer period.
-
It’s going to be an interesting summer. Kettlewell has completely turned the club around, can we build on that and be looking at a top six finish again next season.
-
The form KVV is in we’re more than capable of getting something.
-
Rangers would be just too much pressure for him, they would be on his back big style. He would be better moving down south and trying for a punt at the championship.
-
You wonder what would have happened with Watt if he had stayed, he’s now moved onto two more clubs and flopped at both. He may be lucky to actually find a club wanting to sign him after this. I really liked him when his head was in the right place, he was key to our successful run. However the alternative Watt is a disinterested player with a very poor goalscoring record.
-
Certainly all unacceptable and down to the mods to deal with.
-
That’s his value just increased again.
-
My guess is he will push for a move given he’s 32 now and in the form of his life. If he stays and his form drops or he gets a serious injury next season he may have missed the boat. Don’t get me wrong I would rather he stays but I would not blame him for cashing in just now while he’s on the up.
-
Personally I think 200k is probably very close. We are certainly not going to get close to half a million.
-
I would have thought it’s a shoe in that he will move on. It’s a strange one given the amount of stick he’s taken, accused of being lazy while being the best striker in the division outside of Glasgow.
-
Huge credit must go to the manager for the amazing turnaround.
-
Pretty much
-
I personally think we’re as good as safe, it would take quite a turn around in form from a few teams to now see us drop into the bottom two
-
I think that’s fair, time to look forward now. KVV was immense yesterday, I noticed a quote from a pundit stating he’s the best striker in the division outside of Glasgow and that’s hard to argue against when you look at his technical ability. Other than that a really organised and professional performance from the team.
-
Clearly the manager has not got a clue what he’s doing.
-
In my view we would have additional points on the board. Yes we were strengthened in the window but even taking that out of the equation we’re more organised and the performances of those players already at the club have improved. They also look a little fitter. The main thing though is that the right decision was made because I’m convinced we would have been relegated if he’d stayed.
-
Kettlewell deserves a medal for the way he’s turned things around, seen as a hopeless task and doomed to this.
-
I’d rather they just concentrate on what they do well, making some noise which creates a better atmosphere. Just cut out the other bullshit stuff which offers nothing.
-
A pretty typical game against an old firm team. They dominated possession which was always going to pay off, thought our first looked offside, cheap goals again conceded. However all in all we’ve played a lot worse against them in truth.
-
I hope he does find another job within football, I feel he will. Moving from a pretty safe job to first team manager certainly comes with risks, I personally feel people sometimes feel they should apply rather than asking themselves am I ready and able. The right move could have been assistant manager but of course there is no guarantee that position would ever have been made available to him. After this I think he’s very unlikely to ever be a first team manager again.
