So are we putting the “nailed on relegation fight” on hold for another season ?
-
Personally I’m not sure he is, I think Woolery is being talked up to be a better player than he actually is.
-
We’re are rarely decent at Livi, I would take a draw in a heartbeat
-
I simply don’t understand Alexander, think I had a far better take on Robinson in truth. Slattery is just a prime example of why many can’t get their head around his management, pretty much undroppable at one point then went completely missing for what looked like no apparent reason. Brought back in alongside Goss today because of what looks a little like desperation. He gives so little away about his decision making people end up making things up and that’s never a good thing. I would have taken a top 6 finish and quarter finals of the cup before the season started, for me that’s more than acceptable but for some reason I feel really quite pissed off with him in truth and that’s unusual for me.

We can’t win a game with those two carthorses in midfield, that’s a fact.
-
Your dream midfield line up Yodo, what could go wrong ?
-
A line up that actually makes sense, I see a glorious win on the cards.
-
No

I’m more than happy to wager £10 for charity in a bet against anyone that we won’t finish in the bottom two.
-
But that’s the exception rather than the rule, I still think relegation is extremely unlikely and let’s be honest we have supporters predicting it every season. I don’t know what the odds are at the bookies but I’m guessing that anyone that thinks we’re getting relegated likes a bet they would get very decent odds. Turning this around if this was Motherwell in the bottom two many would be predicting we were already doomed, yet some still believe Dundee and St Johnstone are going to have a miraculous change in form and start winning every other game.
-
They do have a decent squad though, they were doing well until Robinson took over. He’s just taken them backwards.
-
It’s incredibly difficult to make any predictions at the moment, both on the line up and the score. We have to win a game at some point, I’ve just no idea when it’s going to happen because we’re capable of losing to anyone in the league at the moment. However it’s a very important game for Alexander, another shit show and a defeat coupled with a bizarre line up is going to see him come under increased pressure.
-
I’m not convinced rumours really indicate there is a problem. People making things up is really just people making things up. Now if we had credible evidence there was a problem between the manager and a group of players that would be a different matter.
-
I’m really not bothered about the players we’re losing, I don’t think it’s anything more than better offers and not being offered a new contract. I don’t think for a moment it’s got anything to do with there being a huge problem at the club.
-
Pretty much those players level.
-
I thought he was ok without ever standing out, St Mirren seem to like our fringe players and that’s being upped with Robinson taking over. Would I want OHara, Tait, Dunn, and Main as four of our starting 11, not really. Signing players from a rival that are not quite good enough is not going to end that well, especially if it’s half your team at some point.
-
You must have loved Polworth if that’s your criteria ?
-
Yodo we all know you are no fan of Slattery but you really are in the small minority here. I would be interested in our record with him in the team and out of it, I think he’s consistently been our best midfielder this season and it’s pretty clear we miss him.
-
You never know what goes on in a dressing room, there are players that cause problems and managers deal with them in different ways. One of the most over used phrases has always been “ the manager has lost the dressing room” it’s trotted out just about every time a team goes on a bad run and it’s generally based on no actually evidence. I would love Alexander to come out and say “Slattery has upset me”, but it’s never going to happen. However on a purely football level we’ve lost a full midfield and no one has a clue why. Given the results it’s totally baffling how Slattery, Goss, Tierney, and Shaw can’t get a run in the team. We’re not short of dedicated midfielders.
-
Very sadly, as it stands at the moment I have to agree.
-
At the moment I’m not seeing a plan at all, there appears to be little logic to the line ups or style of play, it’s just pretty desperate football that I can’t see going anywhere. I can accept poor results if I can see where it’s going, a steady improvement with strengthening as we go. I also accept we will always lose our better players but even then we should have a style of play that we stick to, something the players understand.
-
As a few others above I don’t believe for a minute we will be in danger of going down this season. However what I personally want to see is from this point onwards Alexander showing he actually has a plan moving forward. It’s difficult at the moment to how what he’s trying to develop at the club, a style and formation we can build on. Simply cutting out midfield and pumping balls forward then defending one goal leads with 20 minutes to go is not a plan, it’s desperation football simply aimed at trying to pick up points whatever the cost in the hope we stay up. I can’t see how that’s sustainable moving forward and is certainly not going to attract better players to the club or retain those with any level of technical ability. He also seems to be actively sidelining some of our more accomplished players at times which I find quite baffling. You never know what’s going on behind the scenes but it all feels a bit strange to me since the turn of the year.

Did you not ask the same thing of Robinson then call him all sorts for walking away Yodo ?
-
Is that not the case with just about every manager ?
-
You honestly think one of the bottom two will finish above us ?
