Thing is it is still a work in progress, no reason we can’t carry on improving with the squad we have now plus a couple of additions.

Not sure I would say two men down, maybe if we were looking to finish in the top two. They are probably a match against any midtable and below team but if we want to be pretty sure of a top six we do need another midfielder.

Absolutely, I just don’t think anyone can write us off this season in any game.

Obviously Hearts are favourites but if we can get a point at Ibrox why not at Hearts ?

Not bothered in all honestly, it’s social media and as such it’s very easy to feel upset about certain content on a daily basis. I’m sure there are plenty of footballers who don’t use social media that are far from nice people.

He’s been a complete revelation and must be close to a Scotland call up. I’d be gutted if we lost him to another club.

If we can get a result at Rangers we can get a result anywhere.

Refs in general the world over get stick, it is of course par for the course and not something I would ever have wanted to do. We have a couple of players now in Slattery and Van Veen that are a referees nightmare, they use every trick in the book between them and it’s very refreshing to finally see these type of players in a Motherwell shirt. Scott Brown has spent his footballing life taking advantage of the dreadful standard of Scottish referees and nothing changes I’m afraid, they are just so inconsistent it’s laughable at times and something that’s never been addressed. I honestly don’t’t know enough about the training that refs are given up here and if there are differences to that received down south, I’m guessing it’s the same and it’s simply a smaller pool of individuals wanting to do the job and as such we get refs up here that would be officiating in the lower leagues down in England.

Yes we’re a far better team under Alexander, the football is also better on the whole in my view. It’s also of course still a work in progress, half the team have only just arrived.

Not the best of games and in truth I do have some sympathy for the ref because we know how to try and win a free kick these days, he was inconsistent but did have his work cut out. Too much possession given to the opposition again with Kelly having his work cut out and much of that was again down to only having one player in midfield, needs strengthening still in my view. I’ve not got a problem with the back or forward line who were solid yet again although I would still prefer Carroll over McGinley, Lamie was yet again pretty solid. Tony Watt man of the match for me yet again.

Maybe this is the time we change that.

They have stated no cash gates this season but on the day they have been available, the office is always available as a back up.

When you look at the overall pricing at fir park I think it’s very fair. Tickets for older supporters, families, and the young are great value ( a season ticket for me is now from £175 and that kicks in at age 60, not the 65 at most other clubs and obviously includes old firm games. Full match day prices for an adult start at £20 pay on the gate and again if 60 or older that drops to a concession rate, you can then get into the main stand for £17. If the club start dropping g prices lower than that it’s surely going to effect the playing budget. ?

I think even with both first choice centre halves missing we should be pretty confident. Lamie has actually been pretty solid when he’s played this season as has Mugabi, they’ve both improved. Slattery and Van Veen are head and shoulders above what we’ve had and Woolery is also improving. You can now start to see the progression under Alexander, we’re a pretty well drilled outfit with everyone knowing their job and we’re getting far less chopping and changing next to the last few months under Robinson. I just hope hope we get a few more through the turnstiles, I’m sure the atmosphere will be decent.

Well just seen the highlights. Their goal was offside but I would not have been hugely surprised if they had been given a penalty for handball towards the end. Not saying it would have been correct but “ Rangers at Ibrox”, it’s happened before so I give the ref credit for that.

I doubt anyone will trouble the old firm for decades, the gap is resources is huge

It’s a truly horrible place, I would not be interested in giving them my hard earned cash.

Hibs and Hearts fail to win and we beat Rangers Sunday and go top, you heard it here first.

I’m going to say Goss comes in for Grimshaw however I think we still need another midfielder, the Irish lad being talked about may be it. I can see Roberts nailing down a place if he’s anything like he was in his short spell with us last season. O’Donnell is our first choice right back and I don’t see that changing, Mugabi is really just filling in. I think McGinley is a real challenge for Carroll who needs to settle down at times but does offer plenty of offensive attributes. For me the defence is now more than strong enough and only going to get better as the two Scandinavians get used to playing together, with choices on the left and right along with Lamie and Mugabi as back up in the centre and one of the best goalkeepers in the league behind them we’re in a good place. Up front we also have options now, hopefully the young lad signed from Queen of the south pushes the others for a place in the starting line up. However Slattery needs support and that’s not happening at the moment, sort that out and we look like a very strong unit.

100% agree with this, I cringe every time I see Collum is “in charge” for one of our games. I would rather have a ref that lets the game flow and realises it’s a contact sport than one who’s just unpredictable.
