  1. For me Hamilton games over the last couple of seasons are perfect examples of where we look a very poor team when we are not pressing and keeping up that high tempo, all of our better performances have not come from having better quality players but our attitude on the day. For some reason our players are unable to raise their game for the Derby the way Accies are, no idea why in truth other than it seems to matter more to them.
  2. We’re still in a relegation fight and as such need our best players on the pitch regardless of what happens in a few months. Taking the huff and not playing him is not going to make a lot of sense if it ends up costing us a place in the top flight. Let’s be sensible about this and place the clubs position in the Premiership ahead of personal opinions on his behaviour, even more so given that no one has actually been able to come and prove if any of the allegations being made are true. All that matters is staying in this league, Gallagher will be forgotten pretty quickly whatever happens.
  3. It’s hard to say given performances under Alexander have switched from good, back to awful, back to excellent, his points percentage has however been better than the last few months under Robinson. I still think the first few games of the season defined what followed with so much possession in games along with so many missed chances, confidence just slowly dropped. Without the huge injury list we would be top six again, absolutely no doubt about that, the difference two or three players back has made is huge. Kelly is a fantastic addition and that alone steadied the ship.
  4. Personally I think you should always play your strongest starting 11. If you think Gallagher is a better all round centre half than those that played yesterday he starts. Alexander may want to stick with a winning team though.
  5. We really won a watch with Kelly, some top class saves again today.
  6. Even then there is a worse pitch still left.
  7. Actually I don’t mind Alexander getting sent off, I would rather we had a manager with fire in his belly than one that spend the game sitting in the dugout saying nothing.
  8. Well what a result, maybe the players are not the worst in the league, who would have guessed it. Anyway so nice to have a happy Saturday night and I look forward to another year in the Premiership next season.
  9. Sorry but I think he’s an excellent signing.
  10. As with a few others I would be delighted with a point but with Hibs on a good run that’s probably unlikely. My guess would be 3-1 Hibs.
  11. End of the day you do tend to come out with things that are really not needed and have done for a prolonged period of time, Gallagher is just the latest in a long line that’s a mix of speculation, half truths, and just things totally out of order. Yes it’s a forum but you do go well past the acceptable line at times and rarely seem to accept it and apologise when things don’t turn out as stated. As I said in another post one or two individuals should be apologising to Gallagher not just on here but other social media channels if he genuinely had a injury because some of its been totally unacceptable and it helps no one including the club when they are trying to retain our better players. I certainly could not blame Gallagher for telling us to get to f##k which is a shame.
  12. Surely not, one or two should be apologising if true. Anyway a great point I never though we would get so well done to all.
  13. Can’t see past a defeat by 2 or 3, the line up is still way to weak at the moment.
  14. Think that’s probably way out, simply can’t believe that Alexander had no say in any of the recent signings.
  15. We don’t even know he’s done anything out of order
  16. But stating he can’t be arsed is again just an opinion and speculation. I’m sure you’re more than aware that a lot of things posted on papers is absolute made up rubbish, the club are not going to come out and refute every story, that would end up being a weekly thing regardless of whether it’s the club captain or not. Even given that one players attitude should not effect the attitude of other players if they are honest professionals, I manage a team of good and not so good workers, the good ones stay true to their beliefs regardless.I guess the club could come out for a second time and again state he injured, if it’s true not sure what else they can do. Sometimes you just have to trust those running the club.
  17. They already have by stating he has an injury, maybe he actually just has an injury. When we talk about porkies much of that is just bullshit made up by the papers. Ok there may be more to it, I don’t work for the club, but if he has an injury what more do you want the club to say, it’s highly unlikely they are going to be open about players contracts which is absolutely right. Sometime an apple is just an apple, it’s not always an orange.
  18. In my view it’s far too early to be judging the manager, he’s hardly thought the door. As much as I wanted Robinson to stay the next guy also needs to be given a decent length of time. The managerial Merry go round never works, ask St Mirren fans who hounded out Danny Lennon who got them to a cup final and had a half decent record at Premiership level, that really went well.
  19. I would much rather we get as many experienced players back as possible, not the time to be playing too many young players. The fact is most of Saturdays team were not first choice picks and while you can get away with one or two to fill in you can’t make it work with more than half the team. Every club has a squad of players of various experience and quality, you can’t have 30 players all of the same standard, one you could not afford it, and two the fact half of them would be asking to leave pretty sharpish. We need a minimum of 3/4 of our usual starting 11 back to start picking up points again in my view.
  20. I’m certainly not writing us off, if the club goes down that route we will be done for and let’s be honest, just about every year on here we’re getting relegated.
  21. Maybe he’s actually better than Championship level.
  22. Bowman was obviously at his best alongside Moult, great in that period and a very hard worker, less so when Moult left. Would I have him back ? Sadly I probably would although any striker is going to suffer with a none existing midfield and that’s what we have just now. Even Campbell was twice the player he is now when Bowman was about, what I would give for another Gorrin, a class above anything we have at the moment.
  23. You look at that thought and it’s a frightening first eleven, six of those players should be nowhere near the first team. Sadly I would include Maguire in that who I still believe is a natural centre half not quite up to Premiership football moved to a midfielder not quite up to Premiership level, putting him alongside Crawford makes it even worse and behind them a back three of Magloiore, Lamie, and McGinley, oh brother that’s a bombscare.
  24. I would have fancied our chances with a full squad, with what we have available now I can’t see anything other than another heavy defeat regardless of formation. We simply don’t have enough of our important first team players available.
