I think we need to trust Alexandra here. He’s got plenty of experience down south and has done well so can’t be that bad a judge of players.

He would most certainly be an upgrade.

All about the balance. Covid will be costing the club big style and as such they need to be cautious. However a further decent amount of investment in the playing budget is needed to stave off the fear of .relegation.

Anyone that wants VAR should be watching the Burnley/Man Utd game tonight. More time spent with the players standing around waiting for a decision than actually playing football.

We would certainly save some cash if O’Donnell left and Grimshaw could probably still do the job. As you say Donnelly returning gives some flexibility and we now have Carroll back. We need another centre half regardless, along with a striker these are the main priorities. I certainly don’t think we need half a dozen players when everyone is fit, the squad is better than some are making out.

As above I’m sure if Robinson had still been in charge those players identified would have already signed, we obviously then had to go back to square one when he resigned. I would rather we took a little longer now in order to bring in the right players rather than rush signings. Let’s be honest it’s highly likely we are going to lose against Rangers so it’s the Aberdeen game we should be looking at.

They would just implement it the same way they do in England which ruins the game for me. The average supporter down south can’t stand it and would rather go back to the way it was and accept the referee mistakes.

Not at all, I think McGinley could still come through, not sure I ever “ predicted great things for him though” don’t think I’ve said that about any player other than Turnbull. I really don’t know why it seems to annoy you so much when I back Motherwell players or Motherwell managers, we are after all Motherwell supporters. I’m never going to be one to call players or managers “cunts” and the like, not my way I’m afraid. I actually look back and thing I’ve probably been unfair with my comments on Mugabi, he’s still young and I don’t remember any player improving due to taking abuse. Look you and I are always going to be different individuals, I’m a positive person In general and try and see the best in everyone, you are clearly nothing like me.

I think it’s more a lack of confidence, we just don’t trust ourselves to keep a clean sheet and need a leader at the back alongside Gallagher. However a fair amount of positives yesterday with the players again showing they are a match for anyone when they press and show a level of confidence. Nice to see Carroll slightly more up to speed and Kelly is defintly a step up quality wide. Mugabi did have a far better game and I do owe him an apology regarding the pen ( my bad). Even as a minimum if we could bring in another striker and commanding centre half I’m confident we will be fine.

In truth I would have taken the point before the kick off but again can’t help thinking it’s another two points dropped. Play the second half the way we did the first and we walk it but yet again no consistency, poor decision making, and missed chances cost us.

Problem is he can’t help himself from jumping in, he’s got absolutely zero composure and never learns.

Thing is Mugabi just gives the ref a decision to make far to often, it’s not a coincidence it’s just about always him. I’ve no idea how he keeps getting picked given we’ve could put OHara there or go with McGuire.

Thing is he does have qualities, but he’s also a complete bomb scare.

I would say it’s more down to a mix of a loss of confidence and trying to impress the new boss. Personally I never buy into the “ lost the dressing room” line. It’s interesting that Alexandra has also stated there is plenty of quality in the squad, again back to more a lack of confidence. We do however always have a mistake in us and I don’t see that changing anytime soon, I would bite your hand off for that 1-0 to still be 1-0 after another 45 minutes but I doubt very much it will stay that way regardless of who scores.

Excellent first half, everyone seems to be trying to impress the new boss.

Amen, it’s difficult to feel confident that we can just see this out without any major drama but that’s the story of this season.
