We tend to do well at Accies, it’s at home against them we struggle.

Yep, that’s pretty much it in a nutshell, two or three decent addition in the right positions. We’ve got half a dozen first 11 players that would walk into most other teams in this division.

The thing is it’s not that bad a squad, the majority of the starting 11 got us to 3rd last season. Carson, Carroll, Grimshaw, Polworth, Campbell, Seedorf, Gallagher, OHara,Donnelly, Watt, Long, Cole. That’s 12 players off the top of my head that played a lot of games between them, Turnbull hardly played a game and Hastie came back with expectations. Dunn has been injured but would have played a part as would Donnelly and Carroll/Carson. Lang also came with a bit of excitement. We really have more than enough quality to be safe, it’s just not happened right from the first game where we dominated against Ross county, gave away a daft penalty, missed our own, and somehow managed to lose.

Hey, glad to see I have a fan steelboy, I’m just a glass half full type of guy, prefer that to constant negativity.

I guess it depends on whether a few individuals would want to travel at this point. Add in family and it may put a few off.

I’m really struggling to see what Gary Holt would offer, he had a small budget at Livingstone and started well before running out of ideas and resigning, surely that’s exactly why many thought it was time to get rid of Robinson.

I mention Lasley simply because I think that’s the most obvious choice. I can’t actually name a single manager up in Scotland that stands out, I’m not a fan of Wrights football but he would probably be quite a safe choice. They may look down south and someone could come in that does not get a mention. But all in I think it’s a dreadful time to be changing manager just before the transfer window, any new manager not already at the club is going to have to act quickly, not sure what it means for those players already identified and probably as good as signed. And on top of that we are in the middle of a pandemic, hardly perfect. Personally I’m worried about the change, I fear it may cost us.

My feeling is Lasley will take charge.

Well I think it’s fair to say that was dreadful, I’m guessing we still had the majority of the possession over the 90 minutes but no one is coming out of that with any plus marks. We looked absolutely devoid of any confidence and sadly the summer signings have come back to bite us big style. Carson going off really just put the icing on the cake. I’m guessing given that it seems new signings are as good as in the bag Robinson will get the chance to turn it around but I’m under no illusions that the knives are now out big style. Think it’s time for an alcoholic beverage to numb the pain, can’t really be bothered with some of the gloating from fellow Motherwell fans after a loss, seems a bit strange to me.

Real shame for Carson, hopefully not long term.

We need someone that can put the ball in the net, can’t go on forever with all this possession and no end product. Really it’s the season in a nutshell.

Ross County fans don’t seem hugely bothered if anyone leaves them, as you say he’s not exactly prolific.

Hopefully we have a sell on clause for Turnbull, starting to settle now.

Good to hear Robinson state that players are coming in, sounds like at least a couple. Please make one a centre half, wide player, and another striker who may actually be able to put the ball in the net.

Must admit I always liked him.

I certainly remember him being offered a contract to stay with us. I’m probably also in the nothing special camp, he was pretty ineffective for long periods before he left us.

If Cole is fit he should certainly start and agree that some game time for Carroll would be nice. Other than that no other changes, we should have had 3 points last game out, hopefully we get them this time.

I actually blame the players for that, we should have been out of sight well before the end.

We were the better team by a mile. We just did what we’ve done all season and failed to score, how many attempts at goal did we have in that game.

Two points well and truly thrown away yet again. I would not mind so much if we were getting thrashed.

Carson back makes a difference. The last two games have shown we’re no worse than most other teams in this league if we’re being honest. If we had a few more goals in us we’d make top 5 again.

Apart from the assist for the goal ?

Great to see Carroll returning along with Carson. Quietly optimistic about today.

Did not get to see it but happy with a point against a top 3 side.

Gallagher has certainly been effected by those around him at Motherwell. Put him next to someone like Aldred and he’d be back to his best very quickly, same with Campbell.
