Simple goal, again the basics not being done with dreadful awareness by Penney
-
I thought Foyle did pretty well in truth given the pot he had to pick from.

I honestly don’t see a change of tact from the club regarding recruitment. Everything will still be within budget, no major loosening of the purse strings, league of Ireland, lower league down south, better championship level in Scotland to carry on being the norm. I know it’s not want people want to here but it’s been that way for years and the club have made it very plain they won’t go overspending again. So for me as stated before as well as maybe two or three fairly predictable level signings the main thing is improving what we already have before it’s too late.

Sad about Louis, I fear he may be close to the end of his career at professional level. I personally think it was the wrong move given he’d played very few games in a couple of years but can understand why it looked attractive at the time.
-
We’re going to have to get out if this with the majority of the squad unchanged I’m afraid.
-
Ok no problem, Scott is probably not even on our radar, I simply think he does have attributes based on his time with us and he is still young, certainly a better option than many who have been signed in my view.
-
Ok fair enough
-
I would argue you’re comparing apples and pears with most of those names.
-
So not right for us but ok for a team 5th in the league ? IF fit he showed plenty of qualities when with us and he’s still young. I would not put him in the same category as players years older that are never fit. I know it’s easy to knock Robinson but he took players who got slated on here and he’s hardly struggling the way we are.
-
If Scott is fit, not the worst move.
-
They are on just as bad a run as us as are Ross County, never a better chance to pick up points but I’m going for a draw.
-
If we win the next two games things will look very different and Hammell will be in a far more comfortable position for sure
-
I don’t actually remember Alexander having any supporters on here, maybe I’m wrong but my recollection is he was pretty unpopular for the style of play, his feedback and personality in general. For my part I’m simply stating things in general look to be going backwards not forwards and he needs to do better with the players we have if we are to stay up. Even after the window I’d be very surprised if we don’t still have seven of the outfield ten from the squad we have now. I do think the next two games are crucial and I think he recognises that himself.
-
I’ve never actually rated Alexander that much, would not want him back, and as you rightly state “ get over it lads he’s gone”. Unfortunately at this rate I could see us midtable in the championship with people still stating it’s all Alexander’s fault. At the moment it seems nothing is Hammell fault, fitness, organisation, confidence gone, players like Kelly and Lamie going backwards. We could put the tea lady in charge and she would be safe from criticism. Sorry but at this stage we need to look at performances under this manager, not the last one. He has been in charge since August of last year.

My heart says yes we get the old Hartley, my head says he’s now 34 and well past his best.
-
I honestly don’t expect to see more than two players through the door, it’s a tough window.
-
I’m not for sure but the stats tell there own story and something has to change. Of course if we win the next two games everything looks different, if we don’t we may be bottom and that’s a scary place to be. As I’ve said previously any new managers first job is to improve what he has at his disposal which has happened with us until Hammell, the players have actually got worse, even less organised, silly mistakes every game, confidence looks very low. The board certainly need to look at how they handled things and I have no idea if Alexander wanted out regardless but as Dave said the timing was awful. However taking that out of the equation we should not be struggling to the degree that we are in my view and if I could see improvements I would say let’s stick with what we have, I just don’t see any improvements.
-
He has about the lowest win percentage of any manager since I think the 1980s. There has to be a point that someone else gets a shot at it.
-
If we don’t win one of the next two it’s time up for me I’m afraid, I just don’t believe he’s going to pick up enough points
-
And why is it not being rectified ?
-
I should maybe add I’m not stating we should look at trying to recruit Hartley simply that he was a leader on the park and for a long time organised the defence as needed. We have a lack of communication and that makes a huge difference especially for players that are not the quickest.
-
Hartley was one thing we don’t have, a leader.
-
For me a really crucial game but as we know it’s never easy on that Livi pitch. Options look to be limited and as such those key players just have to step up and cut out the stupid mistakes. Sadly I fear another defeat.
-
My personal opinion is KVV is the one striker we have that can spring a surprise, I’m afraid Shields is not up to the job against a top team, hope to be proven wrong though. Maybe KVV is injured.
-
Probably, sort of suggests the manager is also writing off the game.
