  1. And why not, he’s established himself at this level and done a perfectly acceptable job after Barraclough and McGee. I believe he’s still developing as a manager and has shown he’s willing to change. Along with Foyle they have shown they are able to identify decent players on a tight budget while they have to deal with constantly losing our better players.
  2. He seems very confident, “ on another level”. Brave words.
  3. Depends on the quality of those we have recruited. I would hope at some point we have the right player for the position
  4. Don’t see it panning out that way, Tait is surely moving to the right as a starter.
  5. I’m going down the potential route. Could go either way as always but plenty of reasons to be a little enthusiastic about the coming season.
  6. We certainly look to be going down the flair route these days, what happened to hoof ball ?
  7. Donnelly needs to be given a chance. Rather like Gorrin it appears one or two have already written him off which is plain crazy. I really don’t get this thing on here of picking an individual each season who is going to be the fall guy regardless.
  8. I think that’s a good signing
  9. Again we might be better waiting until the squad is complete. Frear is no more than a throw away name at this point, Donnelly may be a starter he may not, and I doubt very much that’s us done anyway.
  10. “ the worst of all worlds” not far off the mark there.
  11. How do we know that Lasley could do the job to the same level ? Robinson is now proven at this level while Lasley has never managed. While he may make a good manager one day I don't think we should just assume it would be a smooth transition.
  12. While delighted he is staying i’m not sure there are any winners here. Turnbull will be gutted and is now left wondering how his future will pan out, no one knows how that’s going to effect him moving forward. We will need to look again who we bring in because i’m pretty sure some of that money was already as good as spent and we now lose our most influential player for a prolonged period regardless. I would also think we will be lucky to see close to 3million again regardless simply because his contract will start running down and I doubt very much he’s going to sign any form of extension. I’m usually a glass half full individual but here are a few negatives to this.
  13. Well done to the club on standing no firm. Maybe an example of waiting until the details came out before trashing those running the club ?
  14. Regardless of one or two on here he has done a good job on limited resources and that’s not going to go unnoticed down south. Donny would be a step up with bigger crowds, nice modern stadium, and a good budget. They should be challenging for the championship again in truth.
  15. I would have thought it better to wait until we know the actual details rather than what’s written on social media. Again no idea why this “amateur” line is been pushed again.
  16. Not a problem for me, I would be more than happy if he stayed. We should not be getting involved in any negotiations, they either pay the fee agreed or he stays.
  17. Still think it’s nothing more than a slight delay to a good as done deal
  18. I also think it’s total nonsense, there is no way the club would behave that way.
  19. All stadiums need investment, otherwise you end up with grounds like Cliftonhill.
  20. Hopefully one of the benefits will be further money spent on elements of the stadium, a new PA system would be a start. On the field we don’t know at this point, with the debt paid off we need to see if the playing budget will now be raised.
  21. Personally i’m all for decent debate, I do find however one or two posters only post negatives about the club and can’t seem to find anything positive.
  22. It’s a real step up, I’m also not as convinced as some are.
  23. Yep, 3/4 more players no one has heard of in all likelihood. The club has made it clear over the Robinson era what the recruitment policy would be, don’t see that changing.
