Grabban and Jutkiewicz are much bigger and stronger than Moult. The Championship loves a big strong centre forward. I hope to god I’m wrong but I fear Louis may be one of those prolific League 1 strikers but not quite got that extra bit to be a regular championship 10+ a season striker. If he does go on loan from PNE, I hope he comes to Charlton as he’s exactly what Lee Bowyer needs in a striker.

This popped up on my FB the other day. We are the man with eggs; The old man is an egg seller, selling eggs to make ends meet. A lady approached him after not been able to sell not even single egg for the day. She asked him, ‘How much are you selling the eggs for?’ The old seller replied, ‘£1 per 10 egg, Madam.’ She said to him, ‘I will take 15 eggs for £1 or I will leave. The old seller replied, ‘Come take them at the price you want. May be, this is a good beginning because I have not been able to sell even a single egg today.’ She took the eggs and walked away feeling she has won. She got into her fancy car and went to a posh restaurant with her friend. There, she and her friend, ordered whatever they liked. They ate a little and left a lot of what they ordered. Then she went to pay the bill. The bill costed her £140. She gave £150 and asked the owner of the restaurant to keep the change. This incident might have seemed quite normal to the owner but, very painful to the poor egg seller.

LOL......A very positive outlook. Wes Fletcher was given the no9 because he was signed as the main striker. What he did with that shirt was down to him as indeed it will be down to Louis this season. Indeed, you only need to look to that season to see the difference between Fletcher and Moult.
-
To be fair, I don’t think he’s suggesting that he is.
-
Good to see Louis Moult being given the no9 shirt at PNE. Surely a vote of confidence and hopefully the beginning of a good season for him.
-
Now that is the kit we should’ve got
-
They are different but yeh, I think they’re maybe a variation on a theme. The home one might grow on me but the away collar is the waste of an otherwise very nice shirt
-
I would go with that, I only really put the names in for demonstration. Either way, even if nothing else happens with transfers, we would be well represented in this formation.
-
Just had a look at them on the official site and I like them even less. I really dislike the collar on the home but what’s going on with the collar on the away??? It looks like they’ve done one of those mock collars (like the old Scotland diadora number) but then decided that that wasn’t naff enough, so added a proper collar....that was too short. The result just looks wrong to me. It’s a shame because I like the stripe. The shorts on the away are bit ??? aswell.....they look like the hems hanging out. The claret striping on the home is cool but the embossed 1886 just looks tacky.
-
Away ok home bad the collar is ugly and I really wish we wouldn’t persevere with the ganting C&A top white shorts combo

I would laugh my tits off if Yodo’s predicted players and formation becomes a reality. The new signings are most likely replacements for those in the exit lounge. That said, with the squad we have have now, the fashionable 4231 would be interesting Carson Tait Kipre. Hartley. Taylor Sinclair Campbell Gorrin Cadden. Frear Tanner Main Took ages to space that out on the iPad and it still looks shit.......but you get the gist
-
You’re right, like so many before, there’s not enough for fans to know about him to get excited. I’m taking no notice of the show reels as they made Craig Clay look a prospect. That said, he’s obviously known to the management team and the squad. Hopefully, their judgment is sound. I too hope he makes an impression but only time will tell. I only hope people give him and those others who join us this summer the chance to be successful. One good thing though, given that he’s come through the ranks at Sunderland, he’ll be used to the shite weather.
-
So ..... you’re not happy with this signing then?

Not being pedantic, just being a curious exile....what did McEwan Fraser do to support the community ethos?

I tend to agree with LukeMFC1 but it’s never reassuring to see things like this. None the less, welcome to the club ATS. https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/your-clubs-worst-player-ever-voted-fans?page=0%2C7

I heard he was off to Sevco
-
And the team that played in it. It was not our national managers finest hour
-
Indeed he was.....what are people’s aversion to players from the north east?
-
Surprised by that. I thought Kennedy was supposed to be quite fragile? Was it a permanent hip injury? Shrewsbury were a huge team last season. Everyone of them like a brick out house and played in a similar style to us. Jules was nowhere near that first team !!!
-
I know it’s not a popular view but I just don’t get the whole push for the constant hoop and white shorts thing. White shorts with claret and Amber were of their time and that time was a very long time ago. Indeed, such a long time ago that it was the middle of the last century. A lot has changed since then. Also, and this more down to personal taste, I really don’t like a ‘well home shirt to have a white collar. The two xara efforts with white collars and white shorts are amongst the worst kits we’ve had. The are only trumped by that template puma mashup mess of 13/14.

I can’t look at it. It keeps making my eyes go funny

And the “stating fekkin obvious” award goes to.......

The Bury fans will be rubbishing Aldred like they have every single one of their summer signings who arrived with great expectation. They went from being tipped for promotion/play off to bottom of the league cannon fodder in the space of one season. They have every right to be pissed. That said, whilst I agree that Aldred has been a great fit for us, there are many others like him playing in England’s lower leagues who do a similar job. He will not be short on offers and I suspect Robinson will have a list of names as defensive cover should we lose Kipre or want back up. I would be really sad to see Bigi go and would love to see a little flair added to the team that would help players like him and Tanner shine. It’s horrible to say it but captain McHugh can go if there are suiters, we already have team grafters like Rose and Grimshaw confirmed and his wage could go to better use. Using McHugh as a benchmark though, he is a terrific indicator of how we have progressed. A year ago, he was a first pick. I don’t think his form has particularly fallen, he’s just surrounded by better players who deliver better stats.

Scottish Cup Final v Celtic (Hampden) 19/05/18 15:00

I’ve been to jereusalem through work and have been purposely shown both sides of the coin. I assure you, none of the people I met would give a fuck about Celtic or Motherwell football club or a Scottish national sporting trophy. I have also as part of my work coordinated campaigns which have included protests, marches, demonstrations and lobbying. In order to gain credibility for any campaign, there are optimum times, places, methods and people to deliver key messages. That today was not one of them. That was nothing more than a bunch of bigots showing themselves up. -

Travelled a long way and at great expense with the family to watch the team be a little overawed with the occasion and be surrounded by total feckin day tripping roasters. The fact we have been to two cup finals this season is an indicator for true progress. Yes, we were in the main pretty poor but even then there were chances created and some good football played. Headlines of the day; Taking my boy to the Cooper to see the banter thieves .... great atmosphere. Carson is quality and the back 3 did well. McHugh was awful and (Celtic taking foot off gas or not) Bigi opened the game out and was excellent. The front two were given little service but worked hard. The whole Palestine protest is just a reminder of why I no longer live in Scotland.
