Aberdeen man of the match. Mugabi! Had an absolute shocker. Pity we didn't have an international right back on the bench.
-
Woolery!!!!! He touched ball and mis-controlled it from kick off for 2nd half against Celtic I timed it and it was 70th minute before he touched the ball again, and that was just a touch. I know Van Veen was poor but at least he touched the ball occasionally.

Mugabi and Lammie says it all. Utterly without any talent, other than being tall. Might get a game in a fourth division rugby club. Midfield are totally anonymous. Slattery looks like he's towing a bus, and he's the best of the 3. Short corners, the definition of insanity. Trying the same thing time after time and expecting it to work. Manager a lot to blame.

As 2/6 tae get in said "I may have missed something on here previously ( due to the shit you have to take sometimes on this site i don't always trawl through the vitriol before posting (Silly me eh)) but i have checked team stats for the past few years and as I thought Barry Maguire is always listed as a defender, So why are we not playing him as one . Is that too sensible. ? I seek forgiveness in advance if i have offended any of the usual demigods of all things MFC on here by daring to post this" Some sense at last. Back to when the youths played Ross Co in the whatever cup it was, Maguire was outstanding at centre half, especially when his centre half partner was red carded. For some strange reason, Robinson decided to convert the boy to a midfielder. I don't remember him starting a single game as a centre half in the first team. Lasley could have done the club a favour by telling Alexander that Maguire is the 2nd best centre half on our books out of position. Meanwhile we field a set of mediocre , at best, centre halves. The latest Macgloire looks no more than a right footed Zak Jules

No worldbeater but better than seedorf, hylton et al. May be a sign that Alexander recognises flaw that almost all of Robinson's signings had in common that they 1 are not comfortable on ball 2 cant pass 3 cant shoot Lawless can do all 3. Not as fast or athletic as Cole but I know which one I would prefer.
-
On early sign of Lasley's suitability for job will be if he selects Lammie. If he does, afraid he rules himself out right away.
-
That was absolutely dire. Cant't think of a single instance of one of our attackers being clean through. A back five at home to St Johnstone, how we have fallen. Lammie, he has to be dropped. He cost us the game against livingston, and did his best to cost us today. How on earth can Robinson think he is better than Barry Maguire. Thank christ for Alan Campbell.

Robinson says we need short term cover at left back. Would have thought obvious solution would have been Adam Livingstone, don't think he has a club.

Enough is enough. We had a good comparison today. Ross co had no stronger a team today than against our u21s. U21s could arguably have beaten them without the red card. You watch the U21s and they pass and move and try to play football from the back. Aldred, Hartley, Dunne and McHugh all are totally one footed. They all are cumbersome and as a default blooter the ball forward. Sadly that was the case as usual today. Our only centre half, who can play out from the back, Barry McGuire has bizarrely been sent out on loan. Our weakest position is undoubtedly left back. Dunne had a nightmare today. Ross Co must have been delighted to see Livingstone wasn't even in the squad. Unfathomable. Frear suudenly has become a positive in Robinson's mind. Why? He will never make a player. As for the manager's interview today, I feel he is unravelling before our very eyes. Enough is enough. I can't believe there can possibly be 2 worse teams in the Premier League than us. I fear Robinson is basing his management style on Theresa May's Brexit approach.

Stephen Craigan has resigned from his position at Motherwell. A huge loss, especially if he takes up a manager position elsewhere.

Michael o'halloran on way for lhs?

19 -3 for 5 games ! To put this into context this would over a season represent a negative goal difference of - 105. And this from a team where the manager keeps saying the underlying playing performance is good. He must be on cloud cuckoo land! It was clear from Jules' first game that he was not up to the standard of this league. He has directly caused a goal per game. His body language tells it all. Never mind why did we sign him on loan, why the hell did he play another game once we had seen him in action. Today it was clear since the first high ball forward that he was not up to it. As for his goal, Tommy McLean would have hooked him then! Joe Chalmers I feel sorry for. If there is one thing he is not, it is a professional footballer. Maybe he is hurting inside, but if so he hides it well. Bring back Tony Straker! I have always been a Mcghie fan but no longer. He has totally lost the plot and the team. His recent behaviour has been an utter embarrassment to the club and can no longer be tolerated. The tannoy announced there are now 2070 well society members, of which I am one. If Mcghie continues this will be down to 2069 or less. In 56 years of watching Motherwell, that was the most abject, pitiful, dispiriting performance I have ever seen from them. If he continues after today, our club is a shambles.

Maguire has plenty time. Jules is a Scotland U21, looks promising and deserves a chance given his last performance Joe Chalmers is a Scotland U21!! -

Oops sorry, thought u20s was tonight. If Maguire ends up overrated, a few knowledgeable people inside club will have been proved wrong. Time will tell, myself I hope they are proved right. If it comes to developing Lucas or Maguire, I'd rather it was Maguire because he is a Motherwell player not a Reading one. -

Only one reply to original post mentions our signed natural left centre half, Maguire. Surprised, can only assume most haven't seen him playing. Personally think Jules will play but not convinced he is any better than Maguire. If Maguire is listed as playing tonight for u20's discussion as far as tomorrow's game is immaterial.
