The board and the cameraman ceo have a lot to answer for . They appointed Alexander then blew the budget on an extended deal for him and his chums. They gave him the bullet too late for another manager to stamp his authority on the squad and then because they had blown all the clubs cash had to appoint the cheap old pals option in Hammell. What everyone witnessed today is the aftermath of that. In inexperienced manager , with a dud of an assistant and a poor poor squad, possibility one if not the worst we’ve had in 30 years. The but and big questions for me though are where are our youth players that Hammell has coached and been in charge of for a number of years ? It speaks volumes for his previous job that the best he can muster is two 16 year olds on the bench- where are the 17-20 year old academy players he coached and headed up? One man up front is criminal at home , as is a midfield with no one in it who can tackle or had any pace or desire in them . Blair Spittal broken ribs or not takes our shite midfielders to a new level - makes Craig clay , Lee Lucas, paul Harvey and John Davies look like players . We are in the utter shit especially with our forthcoming fixtures and I personally don’t think we have the players or manager to get us out of it especially not with the tactics and lack of fitness, desire and heart I have seen over the past few weeks. 1 league win in 8 can’t be glossed up any way other than unacceptable and grim. People seem to either be blaming KVV or and the defence . I believe the main problem lies with the midfield or lack of it and our manager seems unwilling to change it . Slatterly isn’t fit , goss is a luxury player and the rest are fucking miles off premier league standard. There’s no protection for the defence , no out ball for the defence and no supply to our lone striker . Never get a better chance to get something in a game against that horrible institution. Problem is we just don’t have the quality or players to do so. People are even suggesting Joe efford is going to be our saviour now . That in itself says it all about our squad. Tierney isn’t good enough at this level , too slight, too naive and out his depth - first goal showed that. Morris epitomises what went wrong under Alexander and those at board level that handed out contracts to journeymen who would struggle to get a game in league one. Our squad is paper thin with no ball winners or street wise midfielders who can stop the game when it needs to be stopped. Hammells 3 signings look at the moment like being as wasteful as a Tony Straker wage. Need to beat the teams at the bottom around us and somehow get 10th and have a huge overhaul in the summer. Amazes me we don’t have an under 20 or under 18 centre forward we could bring on in last ten mins given all the hype, numbers and finance invested in our academy .

We’ve been dreadful results wise for 6 months and dreadful to watch for 11 months. We sold our only attacking threat with pace who gave us width and kept it low key cos he thought the manager was a dick, we have signed 3 journeymen - why did people think that results or performances would change. Alexander’s arrogance and stubbornness will ensure he won’t change from 433 which in turn leaves us outnumbered and out battled in the middle of the park and ends just like tonight did. The defenders only option is to hoof it as no options in midfield and no width. no leaders, no fight, no creativity no pace in the team - it’s all going to end badly this season . We could come back next week somehow but it will simply prolong the agony of this poor poor squad who are being guided by an absolute arrogant clown of a man .

No manager with anything about him would have gone to tannadice and allowed united to play out from the back and offer them acres of space for 90 minutes. United are poor at the back , in fact were panicky at the back and we just sat off them and let them knock the ball about and made Charlie Mulgrew look like Messy. This all purely under the instruction of the manager. What must Dean Cornelius have thought - played ok last week, gets stuck him, gives 100 percent and dropped for a dud that’s off to St Mirren. Alexander actually said it himself that we sat in 2nd half and didn’t want to chase an equaliser - we were playing Dundee United not fu*king Man Utd. Alexander has lost the dressing room , lost part of the support and even lost some of his back room team with at least two going to our league rivals when the season is done . Arrogance personified to the support , media, players and colleagues. No youth , a large number of shocking signings , signing players he won’t play and a dressing room that doesn’t want to buy into his hoofball narrow tactics -it’s ok though give him another transfer window to waste more money , let him start next season playing 433 and let him bring in his new back room team whilst they can all go out for coffees in the west end of Glasgow kidding themselves on. Beginning to make Harri Kanpman look like a football manager now … One win in 4 months, turgid shite to watch with zero entertainment and the poorest squad of players in years with some Straker and John Davies quality of signings should see him get his jotters. It’s a massive risk keeping a manager who wins 1 game in 15, top six or not.

He actually stood today for 20 minutes chatting to his buddy in the dug out as 10 man rangers tore us to shreds. He offered no instruction in that time and no encouragement or direction , looked like he was checking his paddy power account on his phone. Apart from not starting woolery his biggest tactical fuck ups were putting Cornelius to right back and having efford and Carrol on the pitch. His tactics also allowed tavenier all the space and time in the world whilst they had 11 and 10 men - very similar to Macgregor against Celtic . How can a professional manager not see that threat and guard against it? Top 6 matters fuck all when you offer zero entertainment , bring zero youth through , waste money on needless signings and the next month bring in all your chums to the coaching staff. We are losing fans all over the place and I am another on the list who will not invest any more time , effort and money whilst I see little or no effort from a number of players and watch a team with an absolute clown at the helm who thinks he will be ok talking shite to our nice wee chummy media team. as for ya bezzer reveal yourself - are you a actually burrows , McMahon or alexander himself ? Keep kidding yourself on that this year and season and signings and tactics is acceptable . Worst Motherwell team, worst squad and worst manager I’ve seen at fir park in 35 years - results this year back up that statement. Those saying the defence is shit are correct to a degree but fuck me the 3 in midfield ahead of them doesn’t help. We simply don’t have a defence , midfield or front 3 that allows us to play 433 but he still persists with it week after week after week.

I thought we were a fan owned club and effectively owned by the well society. Burrows shouldn’t be on both these boards as it is a massive conflict of interest, however that aside someone on the board needs to be asking questions right now about why he was given that length of deal - results have in the whole been poor but performances and entertainment value with the exception of two games have been dreadful all season long . We’ve got some decent players but the majority get sat on the bench every week. Any other manager at any other club would be sacked by now with serious questions also being asked of the board but unfortunately because burrows is a fan and has a good social media team and following he is untouchable and the self preservation team will role out . I want us to first and foremost win a game of football, I also want us to compete and to entertain on occasion but we are not capable of any and we are digging ourselves deeper and deeper into trouble. Quite clearly there are issues behind the scenes not only with players but coaching staff - burrows needs to admit he was wrong and take it on chin or he will be busy counting the empty blow torched seats every Saturdy at Fir Park . Oh and someone on the well society board needs to grow a set and start asking questions.

Yeah we might end up with a Tommy Wright but also might end up with a Malky MacKay. you seriously want another transfer window to unearth another Joe Efford or Jordan Roberts or to get a McGinley on another 3 year deal. Red card not Alexander’s fault however - the line up was a cluster fuck - he had to take one of the wingers off and bring on a midfielder instantly and he didn’t - he had to bring woolery on to give us an out ball and he didn’t until it was too late and they had gone to 5 at the back . - he had to bring shields on so we had a striker in the box he didn’t until 90 fucking minutes always been a KVV fan but today in those circumstances we needed him and he failed to deliver he couldn’t even get in the box. ten minutes to go going out the cup and we’ve a free kick 40 yards out when down to ten men. We keep one centre half in half way line and 3 over the free kick . That makes it 11 v 6 - no wonder we don’t win the first or second ball Alexander out. Be the bigger man burrows and admit you make a james blunt of the contract extension and get shot of him before we are away to Arbroath in the play offs

Hibs have sold out their allocation - reduced due to our insistence on still keeping a 3rd of the away stand shut. I cant really blame anyone who stays away on a Sunday - shite ko time , shite performances all year and we all know to well that the usual will still get their place in the starting 11. Maybe Alexander will start Slattery , Shaw , Cornelius, Tierney and Mugabi but maybe he will stick with the same failures that have failed us so well for two and a half months. As Alexander stated himself many times previously it’s a two way street with the fans so how about the team and the manager give us something to get behind - a committed challenge , a forward pass, a pass on the ground, a player running at an opponent with purpose and maybe even an attempt at goal or leaving a player up front when we defend a corner, a midfield 3 that make a tackle and don’t chase shadows from ko- that would all be a positive start.

I’ve never been a fan of him but Ricki Lambie was our best player yesterday . Showed more passion, desire and commitment than most - this is a guy that’s signed for the opposition showing more than numerous players who will be with us next season - that sums it up really. Our biggest and first problem is 433 with a midfield who can’t create and can’t run and can’t tackle with 4 players behind them that generally win their aerial battles and head it into a space where we are constantly out numbered. If we do get the ball on the deck at the back our defence who aren’t great with the ball at their feet have no options in the midfield in front of them so lump it up the park simply to get rid of it. Our esteemed captain being a main culprit in that. Who is he kidding when he constantly drops narrow to hide behind the opponent so no one can pass the ball to him. We have a good enough squad with good enough players to do ok in this league ( mugabi , Cornelius, Slaterly , Tierney, Shaw) but Alexander time and time again refuses to play a formation that suits them and refuses to play the players that can play football , make a 10 yard forward pass and can run and get stuck in. As for Liam Donnelly - Forth Wanderers are looking for a utility player if you contact their match secretary.

Poor performance , poor tactics, poor team selection but none of it a surprise - the standard of football has been dross all season. Alexander is either arrogant or naive or possibly both with his insistence in playing 433. Most games if not all this results in our midfield being outnumbered and a back 4 who are poor and uncomfortable with the ball at their feet having to result in hoofing it to a front 3 who aren’t that great in the air - the result being the absolute aimless shite that got served up again tonight. Shaw coming in at Ibrox and Ohara going off made a massive difference on Sunday yet he reverts back to Ohara again tonight - this will upset the happy clappy crew but Ohara is one of the worst players I’ve seen in 35 years going to Fir Park - he offers absolutely fuck all. No pace , no bite , can’t tackle, can pass and has no creativity yet he gets another 90 minutes. Alexander is Burrows big signing and the squad is 95% Alexander’s and is bigger in numbers and wages than the past 10 years and we look devoid of ideas, ability and have a lack of a will to win with no leaders which was epitomised by our captains display tonight. Any other manager would be 2 loses away from the sack never at Motherwell with Burrows in charge . Monumental fuck up giving him a contract extension.

Celtic are a million miles better than us in terms of budget, players and ability but on top of that they out fought and out muscled us at every opportunity. Alexander hung the club out to dry with that starting 11 and formation. We never laid a glove on them and allowed them to play. The 3 centre midfielders were nothing short of dreadful first half not supporting KVV and not getting back to help defence -caught in no mans land continually- they actually didn’t know what to do but they certainly allowed McGregor all the space in the world and everything went through him - they made him look world class. Why did Alexander not see this and put someone on him man for man - probably because he is too stubborn to admit his own mistakes. Why not pick play 442 and pick the best players we have for that formation , try be solid at the back, competitive in the middle and a basic threat up front. That might mean some of his chums in SOD, Goss, Donnelly and Carroll or Mcginley miss out but f**k me that today I’m afraid lacked effort desire and some know how on basic footballing awareness and tactics. Alexander overall has done ok in terms of keeping us in the league but he would get football stopped with his tactics and lack of entertainment . Boosting of 3.5 million profit after a massive loan and Turnbull money isn’t anything to shout about when we have a squad of conference level players at very best with hearts the shape of polo mints.

Any combination of midfield 3 we have at the club wouldn’t have got near what was in effect at least 4 sometimes 5 from Celtic - that can only be resolved by the manager but my issue is that when we are in possession O’Donnell needs to do more to show for the ball , not hide and drive the team forward - not stand with a body shape that only allows him to knock the ball backwards. One of the back 4 can also step forward to help the 3 v 4/5 - they don’t seem to be able to read that though. As for Grimmy charging towards the ball why would the defence be outnumbered when we played 4 at the back and they had 2 up top? our front 3 invited them onto us from the word go as they didn’t know what they were meant to be doing - that was the route cause of the problems today. Ohara would be the better option !!!!! Did you watch him at Tynecastle chasing shadows and failing to make one challenge - reminded me of a mix of Shauan Fagan and Mark Fitzpatrick.

I just don’t get the Grimmy negativity on here and In the stands . Clearly not the most gifted player in the world but works his socks off and doesn’t hide . Can’t say the same for our captain - not just today but on many occasions. His positional sense when defending is naive at best and his negativity whilst in possession is shocking. He cheats his team mates tucking in behind their player to hide so he can’t receive the ball. As for the defence being great and midfield pish this season - the defence have been 4 v 1 or 4v 2 all season with a complete reluctance from any of them to push on and help the midfield ( although this may be under managers instruction not to) our midfield has been outnumbered every game by one or two players in every match - today looked worse due to the quality of the opponent and a complete lack of desire and knowledge on the part of the front 3. Was Tony Wart injured today or could he just not be arsed? The players we have especially defensively would suit 352 set up.

Bitterly disappointed with the performance more than the result. Started brightly but Celtic picked us off after ten minutes and our management didn’t have the tactical know how to adjust. Centre halves did well and felt deeply sorry for grimy and slatterly- drastic lack of effort and running and general understanding of the press from the front 3. we never tested a shaky defence as we constantly went back the way at every opportunity with captain blame everyone else the main culprit. He also needs to stop hiding and standing in positions where he can’t actually receive the ball. Our corner routine is dire and being outnumbered in the middle of the park against better teams will never see us dominate a game . Alexander talked a good game pre match but let’s hope he learns from that today - still waiting on us making a proper challenge. someone said Tony watt motm - hope that was a joke - effort and running levels in comparison to previous games looked below normal level to me but I suppose you can’t chase balls that your captain turns and plays back to our centre half or keeper constantly .

Alexander was brought in to stop the rot and keep us up which was everything to us all in the current economic crisis. Barring a catastrophic disaster he has accomplished this , so for that I am certainly grateful. Sadly a lot of people have forgotten though that Robbo and his signings put us in the horrible position he came into. The however in all this for Alexander and the club and fans is if you honestly think resigning/being left with the core of players that put us in this position is going to improve us next season you are deluded - resigning Crawford and Mugabi has already set the tone for what is in store next season and Alexander signed some dross when he arrived as well. Some will be happy with the small wee club , punching above our weight for years pish but I’m not . We should be challenging top 6, especially with the revenue we have generated of late, have some form of entertainment value along with giving youth a chance - signing crawford and mugabi alongside Lamie I just don’t see us improving. I’ve seen better junior and under 18 players . I hope I’m proven wrong but just can’t see it . Robbo and those that gave him free reign have a lot to answer for .

I don’t think he’s any good but that’s how bad a squad Robbo has left us with. Absolute dross right across the board . A first team squad of 29 and I can’t pick a team . Numerous players that think they are it yet haven’t won a tackle all season , beaten their man or broken sweat. Yet he still gets all the applause and brown nosing because he got us to two cup finals . That’s in the past , he has left us in the absolute shite with the squad he put together . Maybe we could pick his son in the starting 11 in his honour to remember the cup finals and what a nice guy he is .

Our fan own club is in the hands of our fan owned board with the tail wagging the dog from the club board. If and a big if we are insured for such a pandemic situation we are presently in then obviously no need to furlough staff. However that is a big if and clarity wouldn’t go a miss especially when the club and society are first to put their hands out with a begging bowl to the same core group of supporters for money when times are tough. Why on earth would the club not take advantage of the furlough scheme and only keep a handful of people on the books just now ? If Mr Burrows and the board were to clarify they might see an increase in season ticket sales. I just hope we aren’t pissing money down the drain after all the years of hard work. Possibly the biggest financial decision ever during fan ownership and the silence is deafening.

Only the manager can pick the midfield 3 - not the fans and not the players . He is also the one who has signed the players he did in the summer . He must have known we were short in there and he is the one that is trying to shoe horn a 3rd pick 2nd rate centre half come right back in there

The result today was more or less predictable and isn’t going to be the one that makes or breaks our season but Livi last week is the kind of match and result that will. The sad and alarming thing for me is that Robbo seems hell bent on a pedestrianised, defensive midfield 3 with absolutely no pace and no guile - the 3 players he picked in there last week were bossed at Livi and had no creativity so no surprise the same happened today. I actually felt sorry for them. They all tried hard and stuck at it but the balance and mix isn’t right and neither is the mix around about them . 2-1 down at half time and very much in the match despite the aforentioned issues and a lack of cover in the wide areas so rather than see the problem and fix it he fucks a straight swap in with winger who can’t defend to replace a winger who can’t defend. Thats my issue with Robbo once he has a system he’s no idea how to change it during the game . Polworth looks a player as is Gallagher and possibly Hylton - the rest have a look to prove in the weeks and months ahead. As I said at the start of the post today’s result won’t detemine the season but no plan b and no actual style of play will . If you play with two wingers then get the ball to them. Special mention today to 6 of strathclydes finest who managed to completely shit themselves outside the ground today and actually deal with a group of Celtic fans causing a bit of hassle with verbals and pisisng in the middle of the road. All 6 shat themselves and did fuck about it and then turned on me for questioning them . Jobsworth arseholes who take money for nothing and think they are above th law .

How long before Burrows and the board grow themselves a set of balls and get rid ? Today showed yet again how tactically naive this footballing dinosaur is. Effectively played with 4 centre half’s ( included McHugh) from the start and hoofed it route one to two midgets against 4 giants. I believe we have 7 or 8 players good enough to do well in this league but not under his stewardship . So Robbo puts on a good training session at dalziel and Burrows gets fans free pies after they get knocked out their hands in the warm up so they deserve to keep their jobs!! Lets forget the facts that after these great training sessions we play route one football and most of our squad can’t pass the ball 10 yards in front of their team mates and less than 10% of our players can beat their man in a one on one . Also forget the fact we are shite to watch , results are shite and entertainment value is zero . Combine that with the standard of player we have signed and the performances we have served up in the league this season and last . Robbo and Burrows are steering a sinking ship and the old pals act board need to act quickly. Problem is there’s far too much conflict of interest between the society board and the club board which keeps getting swept under the carpet- appointments by appointment by mates under a supposedly fan owned regime . We stick with Robbo and there will be more than him looking for a new job - his mistakes are putting many people who work for the club livelihoods at stake .
