  1. In fact hold it, another former speedy winger is available 'Steve Jones', I want a bit more time to deliberate
  2. Forget him, bring Omar Daley back
  3. Anyone else want to put a pin on the map???
  4. Well deserved, model pro! Get him in a Phillip Lahm role and pull in Taylor-Sinclair from Partick Thistle
  5. Tomas Cerny was impressive in his spell at Accies, free agent, worth a look?
  6. Vigurs yes, for the view that he will want to move on in time and it would be good to catch a fee. Sutton should be easy to deal with next season, so no change required.
  7. While its always nicer to win comfortably, I have no problem accepting the result here even if a controversial goal...about time we gave Aberdeen 1 in the ass!!!! I thought mcfadden got penalised unfairly when reynolds went down late in the game, whereby we were onto a 3 on 1 run at the goal.
  8. In my opinion we are looking good for goals just now with Sutton and Anier looking lively, and Ainsworth just seems to have the knack for sticking 1 away. Think united will try to play at a high tempo, but their weak defense will give us chances. 2-1 motherwell or 1-1 draw.
  9. Publicity isn't bad, the more the hype the better the price!
  10. Craig Thomson. in particular the very harsh passback against Martin Corrigan in the CIS Cup semi v Celtic on 87th minute...Maloney scored resultant free kick in penalty box, lost 2-1
  11. From his article express: " McCall is also keen to extend the loan agreement of Henri Anier from Viking Stavanger but must bridge a gap in the financial terms. But it’s understood the Estonian international has offered to take a wage cut to try and remain at Fir Park." Doesnt make sense to me how Anier can be earning more not playing/sitting in the reserves in Norway than he can playing first team football in SPFL, with bonuses and appearance money. Surely there cant be a massive gulf in football revenues in Norway and Scotland?
  12. I dont get the "painful sight" and other comments of sentimentality when a former player is linked and/or moves to a rival Scottish club. We've provided players like Murphy a platform to perform and move on, cashed in...restart the process, cue Hutchinson, Angol, Carswell and Moore. Murphy was hardly a legend, and I doubt any of our players would be fearful of Murphy lining up against them.
  13. The best possible draw for us in my opinion: McCall and the players have a point to prove against Aberdeen and will need no motivating. Motherwell victory all the way.
  14. 2-1 to Motherwell (8/1), Anier (6/1 1st goal, 35/1 scorecast) and McFadden to get our goals
  15. Tom Hateley will end up at rangers in september, forget him. Good for the fans would be a couple of new players in. Good for business would be one good sale ( Hutchinson) and a player coming in Scottish Premiership ready on a 3 year deal that we can get good service from with a view to future sale.
  16. 3-1 to Motherwell, best odds of 18-1. The team are bound to have had a good wake up call, and I expect two home wins. Sutton and Vigurs to score.
  17. What the hell u talking about? Most folk debating, as expected after a run of poor results. No one claiming to know better than McCall.
  18. In my opinion I think he will oust Ramsden over time, and he did get a 2 year deal, so he is going to get quite a bit of game time in a Motherwell shirt...perhaps best to try and encourage the guy?
  19. While it will have no influence of what McCall picks on the park, I think our strongest 11, based on current personnel, will develop to be 3-1-4-2 Gunnar Kerr Hutchinson McManus Lawson Mcfadden Lasley Vigurs Zaine Sutton Anier Plenty flaws in this, but good enough to be a top 4 or 5 team
  20. 3-1-4-2 Hollis Ramsden - Hutchinson - McManus Lawson McFadden - Lasley - Vigurs - Zaine Sutton - McHugh I think this may prove to be our best formation this year on current personnel. I think in time Gunnar and Kerr will displace Hollis and Ramsden, and Arnier will normally get the nod in front of McHugh, but understand he play for his country there so may be best used later against Caley. Carswell should bd knocking at the door, and Hammell will spell Zaine and perhaps be used in 4-4-2.
  21. Just beat me to it there; far too early to be writing off a player when we have only started current campaign.
  22. Partly frustration, but after that penalty...leave McHugh behind! Gunnar looks like a number 1!
  23. 1-0 motherwell, james mcfadden goal. 40/1 @ betvictor
  24. that would be alarm bells for me! We have enough veterans in the team...dont want to do an Aberdeen of last few seasons. We didnt pursue the lad from Morton after McManus signed, so dont see why we would reopen interest in a right back when we already have enough internal options.
