  1. We played half a season without McHugh in midfield.McHugh might be more effective than McManus in defence anyways. We have had experience in Lasley, Hammell, Pearson, McDonald and Samson. I'll stick to my point, McManus is adequate and doubt he would have changed much in the last 8 games.
  2. Sorry, but you sound like Mark McGhee! For me he has never lived up to his previous reputation and the goal against stats with him in the team don't lie. Watch some of the goals lost over the past few seasons and keep an eye on Mick...poor communication, gives up too easily, slow. He is an adequate defender in this league, but I think ur nuts if you are trying to argue he is a rock in defence. Retitle a topic about Marvin, then you have a convincing argument for a player that really could have had an impact on our season!
  3. I seen that mate. Happy for the mods to remove the post to avoid any confusion. As Alan mentioned, the office made a genuine mistake.
  4. Thanks for posting this; I called the club and they confirmed season ticket holders can bring a friend - note that it is available for either the game tomorrow or the home game against Killie. Need to take season ticket to ticket office today to collect if for Saturdays game.
  5. Based on posts so far, I am well and truly in the minority when I think we need to stick with 3 at the back plus 2 wingbacks We don't have a decent left or right back. We have a shit keeper. Our available recognised centre backs are young and inexperienced. Having the 3 adds an extra bit of marshalling to the back line, and in theory should compensate for the errors our team is prone to in defence. We go in 0-0 against Dundee, did you really see us getting beat?? Our last 2 run outs with a 4-4-2 we lost 7-2 to Aberdeen, 5-1 to Dundee. Does 4-4-2 work with our personnel? Some folk mentioning Mcmillan and Jules...oh dear. Our goal difference is -24 overall, but -1 in Robinsons 8 games. Results aren't what we hoped, but not as bad as they were under McGhee. We have been in it every game since Robinson took over, maybe Partick being the exception. Robinson is doing the best with what he has available, he didn't have a transfer window to adjust anything, he inherited a frail squad with 2 experienced defenders out for the season, a number of players walking wounded (Moult, Cadden, McDonald. Pearson...arguably our best 4 players), and some of the decisions that have went against us have contributed to costing us points. Mistakes are still happening, but there has been a better togetherness and fight, and hopefully the players will make amends for team mistakes that have cost us points and the injustices of bad officiating. I trust Robinson to get us through the final 4 games in 10th or above.
  6. "A Disciplinary Tribunal convened today to consider the following claim of wrongful dismissal: Player: Scott Brown (Celtic FC) Match: Ross County v Celtic - Sunday, 16 April 2017 (Scottish Premiership) Case: Claim of wrongful dismissal for serious foul play Outcome: Claim upheld; sending-off reduced to caution for recklessly dangerous play. Fee returned. " If you watched the game or seen the highlights Brown was in a rage at Boyce and it was premeditated that he was going to do him! The bias...sorry ruling today, just condones that thug to play the way he does. Total disgrace from the SFA.
  7. Game of opinions; I think McHugh has been better at centre back than anyone I've seen play the position for us in the past 3 seasons!
  8. Hamilton's version of Ross Forbes
  9. Robinson inherited a team down on their luck and riddled with injuries. He has stopped the bleeding (not getting scudded, less individual mistakes). Results on paper are bad, but it has been fine margins in results recently. Law of averages we are due some breaks!I doubt an outsider could have done better with the personnel available. We have been competitive in every game since Robinson took charge, but reality is we are bang average at best and relegation is a possibility. All soundbytes from the manager and players are positive we can avoid bottom 2, so let's trust them to do it.
  10. Scud them tomorrow then a wee visit across in May to send them down!!! > the season wasn't all bad
  11. Unless he hits a hot streak from here, his value will be lower than the club would want it to be.I think he has been asked to play through the pain barrier too often and the clear lack of creativity around him have held him back. I know the club said they were working on a new deal for Moult, surely it's also in his interest to work hard for another season and see what transpires.
  12. Agree, his stock remains above the platform at Motherwell.
  13. For me we could do with Luke Watt stepping up. Emergency loan route an option? I mind we picked up a veteran Rob Newman in the 90s and sure he done us a good turn.
  14. Keeping it tight, midfield play side ways and back pass to Samson. No more, no thanks. I can't agree with you; we have the worst defensive players in the league. I'll argue all day one of the best group of attackers in the league and we need to show more ambition, raise the tempo and shift play to the front.
  15. I hear what you are saying but not even Fabio Capello could make a competent backline for us! Our strength should be attack, to me that has to be the focus, certainly for home games in which we need all 9 points before the split. If we make every game a slugfest / brawl, while I am sure there will be some more bruises, we have better chance of winning games. Trying to keeep it tight didn't work for McGhee, we need to start having a go at teams.
  16. Robinson has an audition on Saturday for the remainder of season; if we get result and players can prove capable of getting their act together (and it would take some trust, although in Robinsons favour he will know more than most outsiders), then we could take more time to consider getting the permanent manager for end of season, just in time to give it a good clear out.
  17. In you opinion maybe, but not sure you speak for all. Is the forum for debate or ridicule?
  18. Already out of Mcghee's plans, then add to it the previous spat with Robinson (Morton game)...Ainsworth is gone! Very very sad to say, as I am a big Ainsworth fan.
  19. Was making the same comments to friends today! Yogi is an honest guy that could work with our squad, coaches and be all for our community approach.
  20. Is that a positive or joke?Joke Taylor was better

    Mcghee Out?

I am 100% McGhee needs to go, but don't agree on wipe top to bottom. We need people to promote our brand and policy. The ambassadors are Craigan, Mcfadden, Lasley and Hammell - the problem is ineffective succession planning and tactically incompetent manager who has turned away from playing to the strengths of an effective attack (Moult, McDonald, Cadden, Ainsworth, Pearson) into a defensive experiment. He needs the bullet before its too late. We might just have an effective pipeline of players to come through but if the McGhee experiment gets us relegated Moult, Cadden, Heneghan (sellable assets) could become part of a firesale, and may set back the future SPFL vision for our club. We need to attract fans, but Mcghee's brand is driving many away. Let's starts with Mcghee out and see if we can get steady the ship.
  22. Regardless where he has played / filled in, he is definitely suited to centre mid, and to me he looks a promising player in a very disappointing team.
