  1. The penalty was soft today and it did change the game along with campbell going off injured. We have alot of injuries at present and its resulting in us having no creative play or penetration as we didnt have any wide men in our line up today. Cadden and frear would offer us so much as well as tait who plays well on the left. Time is up on fisher and bowman. Bowman is still better than fisher though. Newell was borderline ok today, bowman had a couple of ok runs but kept losing the ball or get muscled off it. Our strikers just arent getting service so its not all just down to them. We were the better team in the first half, soft penalty and a rare mistake from hartley then we were chasing the game. Fisher coming on to play what looked like wide left was pointless. 2nd half we were poor. Tanner was only bright spark and looked like he was trying to do to much when he had the ball. I like tanner but am just not sure where he fits in to the style of play we use. Hammell is done. he had a great game against aberdeen but he really is finished. We played a 442 with no wide men and struggled to get service to strikers we cant be surprised with the result but it was our own mistakes that cost us, earlier in the season we were getting the luck but now we are not. Am not putting this all down to the manager but with injuries and an ongoing rotation in midfield and up front some questions need to be asked. This transfer window is massive for us. Replace the strikers and let the players get a rest and get the injured ones back and im positive we will be fine. I certainly dont see us getting relegated but will be a tough ending to the season.
  2. we startin to pick up some bookings. Fairly happy with our peformance so far
  3. Easily Tanner for me, skinned some of there players several times. Deserved his goal. Decent freekick as well. I agree he our best attavking asset now. Tait as always mr reliable along with hartley. Carson also in with a shout.
  4. Very lucky to come away with a point today. Tanner was our best player. Felt sorry for grimshaw bein taken off really think he needs a run to build his confidence. Bigirimana was better today but needs to up the tempo with his passing sometimes holds onto to long in my opinion. Frear is a good player but im getting a bit fed up with his constant injuries. Newell was lost up front on his own as tanner went wide right 2nd half and didnt press like id expect from our strikers. Bowman was poor today but he always presses opponents. Subs backfired on us today and im not sure the double sub was needed as we seamed to get a boot up the arse when they scored. was a good finish for dundees goal but a bad one to lose. Rose contributed nothing when he came on and its first time i thought he was poor. Tanner is gonae be our next big thing and we need someone to compliment him up front. Carson saved us a point today. Cadden needs to run at players to be effective and he didnt really do that today. we wont sell him this transfer window. Hartley was composed as always and a very important player for us along with Carson. Whole 2nd half we looked tired and didnt press like we are used to but we were playing with 10 men. Xmas break is gonae be good for us. Happy to get a point cos dundee should have won it 2nd half.
  5. Cadden is wasted playing in centre, he does well on the right when he can run with the ball. i like Tait, our most succesful period is him playing on left wing he prioritises getting a cross in above all else and i liked that. Dunne is just so bad at passing his saving grace is his pace but not a reliable player. Kipre is prone to the odd howler but will improve. Fisher and bowman just not cutting it. Bowman was great playing with moult but has gone off the boil recently. Frear is a good player but injury prone and needs a sustained run in the team. Standouts for me are hartley campbell cadden moult tait and carson. Rose gets alot of stick but he has had some good games. Bigi, just not sure on him. obviously has technical ability but does he fit in with our hard working midfield? it seams to me robinson is prioritising work rate and pressing rather than anything else. Tanner, has shown good flashes in games and chipped in with some goals. He is likely to be our goalscorer for rest of season unless we get a proper no 9. Plummer needs to go, always injured. Grimshaw, hasnt fulfilled expectation since returning but needs a run in the team to show what he can do. if i remember correctly he played on the right alot in his first spell here. Hammell needs to retire at end of season. Priority on signing a goalscorer in transfer window.
  6. if 352 id go griffiths tait kipre dunne grimshaw campbell mchugh rose frear (if fit) tanner bowman Bigi to come on at 60 mins if we need a spark if 442 griffiths tait kipre mchugh hammell grimshaw campbell rose frear tanner bowman Tough one to call tomorrow as killie doing better recently. Ad like to see bigi making an impact or getting a run but he doesnt seam to be as good defensively as the others. i wouldnt play mchugh as the centre of 3 at the back. Now its life without moult we need to see some others stepping up.
  7. Louis has been one of they players il always remember. im to young to remember some of the names often talked about from back in the day. For me louis joins the likes Faddy as he simply lit up fir park with some of his performances and goals. Memorable moments for me are the 4 goals vs accies, the performance against aberdeen in the cup, the semi final, the absolute peach against celtic. His finishing was outstanding and he had a real knack of scoring against the old firm. So sad he is leaving but he has handled himself really well in his time with us. we all knew he would move on at some point but he isnt leaving us with a bad taste in the mouth. Getting this money and hopefully clause to get us more money in future has been good business by the club and for him and has shown we can provide a platform for players. Il always remember his performances and wish him the best. Long live the king!
  8. Hard one between carson and Tait for me but went for Tait, didnt appear phased by the occasion, not sure it was a man of match performance but he played to his usual strengths and didnt let anyone down. Carson was pretty solid throughout the game as well. Hartley also done well.
  9. wasnt a penalty and that decision changed the game. Felt first half we kept ourselves in it much like the semi final but we didnt really create anything. its easy look back on and question certain things but what stick in my mind was caddens position in first half. At times he was our most forward player in a central position, surely his strength is out on right wing. seamed to me that our 2 strikers covered the wings when celtic had the ball while cadden chased. Not gonae slate robinsons tactics he has proved to be very adept with his tactics since coming in. Was a great day out. Pre party at the shed was great and seamed our lot were having a great time. Heres hoping to more cup runs in the near future as it really is exciting for us as a club to have that chance at some glory. Now.... to end there winning run this week would be just perfect. SIWY
  10. On the train up fae stirling. Destined for some breakfast and pre match drinks. Got a feeling today is our day. Someone has to beat them and if anyone will its gonae be us. COYW
  11. carson kipre hartley dunne Cadden campbell mchugh rose tait Moult Bowman Our strongest line up and brings the most fight and i think everyone of them will give 110%. Form or not i wouldnt be changing things to try outsmart celtic. Id focus on trying to well what we do well and thats hard work, pressuring them when we dont have the ball and getting it wide and getting they crosses in. keep it simple and dont give them time or space just like the aberdeen cup game.
  12. Besides st johnstone game this our first real flop of the season. Disapointed to lose but still spirit there to get 2 goals back and robinson making a difference from the subs he made. What i have noticed is our success streak revolved round using the same lineup every game with a settled defence and rose campbell and mchugh in the centre and using our impact subs to make a difference. Usually rose made way, past few games the line up has been different and doesnt surprise me we havent lived up to expectations. So many slate rose but he does so much good work and is better than bigi for starting a game, bigi is a creative impact sub in my opinion not a starter. we should start games with a team full of fight and make changes when required that was our winning formula. Bowman and moult is a winning combo i wouldnt change that at any point its obvious moult likes playing beside him. Tanner is ok and useful to the team but i just cant see past our usual 2 strikers. Keep the faith, im still very impressed with what we have acieved so far and having some blips like this is just part of it.
  13. Wasnt at the game today. Am not downhearted by todays result by all accounts we werent on our game today and could have snatched a draw in 2nd half. Felt it was harsh to drop tait as has been mr reliable this season. sounds like a few had poor games today but ye know the squad has done well recently. Keep the faith!
  14. I agree we need to rest players today and give others a chance to prove themselves. id get frear in and grimshaw at least and bigi to get on as a sub. im eager to see some fringe players like petravicious or however its spelled and the boy newell at some point. Cadden and Campbell to be on the bench. Dont think id play fisher tonight think bowman and moult should stay in the line up. Could be a hangover from the semi tonight so not getting beat is the priority.

  17. what a day! we were never 2-0 winners but we won 2-0. Moults 2nd was a screamer, was a moments silence before everyone went mental. Theres a great picture from after the game where the team getting right into the fans celebrations. Twist and shout! Al never forget today.
  18. were looking nervous today. no one wanting to put there foot on the ball and run at them from wide
  19. anyone got any juicy bets on for tomorrow? got 14 on us to win. 20 on hartley to score anytime and 10 on moult anytime.
  20. Getting in the mood watching a rendition of twist n shout. Av no been this excited for a game since last saturday! Hope we give this lot a doing. Nothing better than beating the old firm when your written off before a baws even kicked... Intae them!
  21. Hartley. Bossed it in defence and another goal. Rose also had a good game and was a good finish for his.
