  1. Have a wee read back, and come back to me if you can properly decipher a chain of comments
  2. I don't think Steelboy even mentioned Turnbull...
  3. the biggest disrespect, is not discussing it in my opinion. As I said, threads go off at tangents from time-to-time
  4. Steelboy has it in a nutshell...they've somehow managed to convince everyone that you're a mad bigot if you even mention it
  5. Spiderpig said that Celtic couldn't afford Turnbull, because they may have another route for their cash this Summer, hinting that they would be paying out a claim or two to abuse victims...Neilwell86 more or less said we shouldn't be mentioning this stuff, for reasons unknown...Steelboy reckons that it should be discussed, as its a big current affairs story...you had a go at Steelboy, claiming he was a cretin and that he was partaking in 'oneupmanship'...I asked at what point, you came to that conclusion. Threads regularly go off at a tangent
  6. In what way is 'Steelboy' using it as 'oneupmanship'? These rumours have been kicking about since I was a wean, and the deflection from Celtic has lead to years and years more misery for the poor men that were assaulted. If Celtic had acted adequately at the time, or even in any of the years since then, this wouldn't be happening right now.
  7. I really don't want him to join either h*n or tim, but equally I don't want him to join a team where he'll be jettisoned to their Under 23s for a season or two...ideally the likes of Everton or Southampton would sign him and loan him out to either us, or a Championship side for a season
  8. I'm not suggesting that Turnbull should be in ahead of any of these guys...but there are certainly guys he should be ahead of
  9. The record books will always show we finished 2nd mate
  10. Every manager, and therefore, team, needs to be able to adapt to whatever formation is required...to pigeon-hole us as a 'back3 or a back4' team is just idiotic
  11. I've not got a real problem with the Killie guys being in the squad, Killie have had a good season, (though not quite as good as when we finished 2nd, and I don't remember the clamour for Motherwell players in the squad, or indeed our manager to be given the managers job at the SFA)... ...Taylor is a player I admire, and at the end of the day is only back-up for Robertson, O'Donnell isn't a player I admire but I understand that choices are limited in his position, Brophy is a bit of a curveball but I'm happy enough to see if he can step up, and the same can be said for Findlay....but on an individual basis none of them have performed to the standards that Turnbull has...it just seems really weird to leave the guy out when his own individual form is so good.
  12. If you think thats what I said, then there is no hope for you...
  13. You seem absolutely raging O'Donnell isn't and hasn't been better than Tait...in my opinion obviously. I have a problem with 4 keepers because its just daft. Jack has played at right-back before and done it very well...hes a far better player than O'Donnell, though Palmer I haven't seen much of I'm pissed off about Turnbull not being in it, a totally ridiculous omission. McNulty and Burke are two that off the top of my head that deserved to be left out
  14. OK didn't realise that about McBurnie...however, I still don't see the need to take 4 goalkeepers 'to assess' them, surely the coaching staff know who's shiter than the others? As for O'Donnell, he is no better than Tait with even less pace, and I'd never dream of suggesting he is as good as we have. For what its worth, I'd be playing Ryan Jack in that position
  15. McTominay is a very good player, playing at a huge Club. Turnbull should certainly have made the squad though, his goalscoring statistics alone should have seen to that. For me, this squad is really disappointing though. Four goalkeepers in the squad for no conceivable reason, and the likes of Oli Burke and Mark McNulty in the squad over a guy in McBurnie who has scored 20-odd goals at a decent level left out. I also get that Clarke is an ex-Killie manager and knows those players inside out but if he believes that Stephen O'Donnell is good enough, then that has me worried.
  16. A lone striker who doesn't score goals is always going to be in bother when it comes to the boo boys...I for one, felt that he played that role well, brought others into play, made space for those around him and often occupied central defensive pairings much bigger than him, on his own.
  17. Undoubtedly the correct decision by the Club...we should be looking after our own supporters comfort and welfare before anything else.
  18. Funnily enough, I think we are very weak at centre-back. I reckon we need at least one signing in there. Hartley - if he was fit, what was the last three months or so of the season about Maguire - dury very much out on whether he is capable of making an impression on the 1st team Devine - from my very limited knowledge of the boy, he doesn't look ready for me...even just physically Gallagher and Dunne are both proven at this level, but I'm not sure how they'd compliment each other as a partnership. I also think we can't possibly be going into the new season, with Livingstone and Carroll as our only left-backs... given Livingstone doesn't seem favoured and the reviews we've seen on Carroll. Right now, I think we are well covered at right-back, goalkeeper (even if Gillespie or Carson leave) and in central midfield...but thats it.
