I suppose if we signed him , we should have done some due diligence, so that's kind of on the club
I've no idea if he was any good or not, never saw enough, only cup game v Raith , he wasn't the worst that day, worryingly.
Get the feeling the Scottish game was too physical for him
For a club who have spent almost 40 years in top flight, we don't seem to have prospered financially too well ... hopefully previous poster dtid is painting a gloomier picture than reality but does seem to have some inside knowledge.
Maybe a chance for one or two of the young boys to step up...this could be a test for SK...
That's true but an update here and there would be good, especially if they're trying to tempt people to but season tickets
I don't usually criticise board or management because it's generally a no win situation but if what is reported above is true, we should be updated and advised other arrangements are being made.
Wasn't really , they probably didnt make a tackle between them tho, horses for courses...it's easier to teach someone to track back than to get them to ping a good pass.
Good advice, or if someone is posting extremes , e.g he's absolutely shit or brilliant...they are usually looking for attention or have a mental health condition.
I think Harry Paton looked absolutely brilliant last season.
Definitely good luck to the guy, he could have resigned here , presumably on not great money, but he's chosen to try something fresh, maybe learn some new things .... hope it works out
From memory was the operation not a precautionary measure?
He was always going to come back from it....it's a moot point tho, some guys don't resign because other clubs can take a chance on them without a transfer fee....others, like Turnbull resign, knowing they are good enough to get a transfer
I did read what you said bud, I always enjoy your posts , they're a bit off the wall and there's nothing wrong with that.
If he knew he was getting transferred anyway, he didn't sign for himself, he could have run his contract down , as with Jake Hastie and left for nothing.
He helped us out to the tune of 3 million and then some bloke on the internet want to put a different spin on it
Kvv and Turnbull were good enough for clubs to come in and pay a transfer fee ...if other guys sign a contract, they could be stuck here on not great money and wouldn't get a move , so I don't blame them on that one .
I would say Casey , Butcher , Goss , Kvv , Spittal ( latterly) have some quality and will be harder to replace , the rest even Kelly , I think, can be replaced with similar or better
Another argument is he brought in Furlong, Butcher, Casey , who have made the difference...I can't say he would have done as well with them as SK has done but you need to credit him with identifying those guys .
