  1. we won games earlier in season by bring lucky ...arguably we beat Aberdeen twice in league but played better yesterday.
  2. a bit of reality there, I haven't enjoyed a lit of the football but if we win next week, I will be majorly chuffed. Nice football is great but ultimately I get entertained by us winning...lose next week and I feel it will be a major opportunity thrown away. he has brought in a number of good players , so let's see how it pans out next week and keep some perspective
  3. OK, ga isn't the most engaging bloke in the world...I see a lot of talk about the post match comments, he is right about yesterday's game, we were unlucky , we created more than them the test now is to go to Dingwall and do that and win I am not defending ga, its a terrible run we are on but nothing went for us yesterday.
  4. yep, don't disagree...we win a few, e g the 2 nil wins v Aberdeen at Pittodrie and fp , we were poor....today was just plain old fashioned bad luck and some poor finishing....wee tierney looks clever, maybe next year with full pre season , he will put most if them away
  5. yep, agree, u can't be unlucky alleged time but we defi were today...they are bang average...
  6. there's plenty of games i don't think we have played well but today I thought we were decent, another day tierbey coukdve had hat trick ....play like that next week and our luck got to turn
  7. have u watched the game today...better team , if we don't get anything today, its not for want of trying , so don't see him firing him today
  8. u r having a laugh ? Tavanier must love it up here , scores more goals than our forwards in a season from full back.
  9. if we can qualify for Europe in 4th or 5th place, I will say thats a result overall I've not been particularly entertained but if we are winning that takes the edge off. we have two winnable away games v County and United which will define our season The players and manager have got to be up for them, finishing 6th when a Europe place is up for grabs would be a big disappointment
  10. its in the dim and distant past , so I may be wrong ( tin hat on )but did he not write off a good bit of the money owed to him ?
  11. thats my thoughts , slightly clipped player first, but then did well to win ball, it really coukdve gone either way, don't think anyone could've complained if they didn't get it either but after he had sent a man off, he would've wanted to balance things. Wasn't overly bothered as we didn't deserve anything from game.
  12. just watched highlights, so have better view of incidents. think uts a red by modern standards , at one time you might have got away with that don't think its a pen but its a moot point really. carrol put in good cross for goal but once again turns his back on shot...one of the poorest defenders I've seen and heartless too .
  13. never been that impressed with devlin and if he is struggling to get in Aberdeen defence?? what about considine?
  14. don't know how you can say carrol is ok...costs us a goal every game and heartless...surely ga must see this especially as an ex international full back himself.
  15. I mind big " h " well, good touch for a big lad
  16. I honestly don't normally have it in for a player but carrol is dire and looks uninterested. He turns his back on the ball so often , doesn't engage with attacker, I think sod is best left back we have and he isn't great either
  17. there must be someone else who can play left back, as you say cost us again yesterday with yet another half hearted attempt at a tackle.
  18. come on the mahon, welcome to our Great wee club, robbie
  19. I don't mind Donnelly but if Robbo wants to bid for McGinlay, Carroll, O'Donnell we won't be hard to deal with, I will give Shields a chance until he is played in proper position and gets a season of full time under his belt.
  20. no harm to the boy , but he is an ok player and seems to miss a lot through injury, thats not his fault, but its not a world beater we are losing.
  21. nah, fans are fickle...IF we were to win next 2 and make top 6...I know , unlikely, fans would be back on board for a wee while
  22. I don't agree its down to tactics , the full back , carrol , in this instance couldve made more of an effort to close the cross down.i get that there is maybe an idea that 3 centre half's can defend crosses, but I doubt ga is saying just let them cross it , at ease.
  23. cos people keep saying it on here, thats probably where you heard it. I am not defending ga but maybe I doubt part of his tactics are to set up dundee players for a goal and numerous other mistakes ....slattery tbf , I don't understand.
  24. yep, mcginley would have been , it was his turn to let the cross in last week v hibs. Full backs , in general, are terrible, they don't even get forward either
  25. I am sure at least one or two members of board must come on here....I thought hibs performance was OK but thats been the exception....I was gutted when robbo went, it had been a journey , this is a journey also but with no direction, we have no 3rd place finishes or cup finals to trade against the awful football. Even if ga came out and said , we play this way because blah blah but he doesn't say anything in his interviews.
