There is evidence of more than one candidate with clear experience and knowledge who were very vocal on the offer being nonsense who may or may not have been consulted without public acknowledgment. I don’t think skills, experience, business acumen is exclusive to love and care for what is right for the club. You can have both i do agree tho that I’m not sure why there is people running that were very vocal on Barmacks deal being a good one and that gave the impression that the society had no legs but now want to be a part of it . Maybe they have changed their minds and want to get behind it or maybe not.

The fact watt is arguably better than what we have gives me the absolute fear for this season

Really impressed by the current board again tonight. Great energy and a clear ambition to serve positively. Some patience, understanding and support and they can deliver on what we all hoped the society could and should be. add in a bit more experience from a business point of view and some ambition and energy with new board members next week and watch it grow. exciting times ahead I feel after watching that

Really impressed with the calibre showing for election. Many boxes ticked in what they were looking for from business experience, HR, governance,Events, fundraising etc. challenge is actually narrowing it down to 4 for me as there’s prob 5/6 I think could strengthen us

I agree but his football for me is as bad as Alexander’s. To be fair tho there isn’t many teams in Scotland who play an attractive style of football that I can think of in the league. Last week I genuinely nearly fell asleep tho it was that bad. Today was marginally better.

Regards foster. Something that I was confused at towards the end of the season was why was he and our academy director involved so much in first team duties? I noticed again last sat both were on the pitch and sidelines with the first team, who is looking after the academy games and players ? I believe Kettlewell has 2 other coaches and Friel on a match day. Why the need to bring in guys that should be developing our youth?

I think there’s a few that we have lost over the years like Bailey rice who will at some point play first team football at other clubs. The biggest frustration is over the years we have lost young players when they get to that 16/17 age where it would be of benefit to have them in and around the first team. Lost young max Willoughby and another couple this last year who are now getting moves down south. Personally I’d love to see a ruling come in where we have to increase the number of academy players in the first team squad on a matchday however I know that will never happen

Academy slowly being destroyed in front of our eyes over the last 18 months . At a time we need to rely on young players coming through it seems like a few are miles away from the step up , whilst we have either released or lost a number of promising ones

I’m sure with a bit of work and a decent offer in return there would be at least 10 companies out there that would be willing to offer £30k a year investment each on a “drawdown when needed” offer as a form of corporate consortium that would save us from giving half our club away for feck all! equates to the same as what the exec board are willing to give to a guy who says he has no business plan for his £300k a year

Look at what GregAnderson_21 is asking him on Twitter. He’s clearly avoiding certain questions by his responses. He’s in danger of being shown for what he appears to be on there. An absolute chancer

The guy has just responded to someone on Twitter stating 1. He has no clear exit plan 2. A speculative business plan that provides no information 3. No desire to take money out the club over 6yrs ask yourself would you put nearly £2m into something and have no clear plan of how to get it back out? this guy is for the watching!

The longer it goes on and the more things he tweets, the less and less enthusiasm I have for his bid. Don’t believe now it’s worth as much as we would like it to be private investment with someone and a society partnership is still my hope though.

Was thinking the same but are these two not just the society reps on the board for decision making? Would perhaps make more sense to have a couple of non execs/external board appointments to give an impartial view on the main board

By society type entity I do really mean a corporate/individual to give us a cushion in return for an investment in for example player sales which ultimately has to be our focus on becoming self sustainable

If we did a share option I for one would be onboard with that but I can’t help think we still need another society type entity to offer some level of protection with a view to being fully sustainable on drawing on neither of these entities cover option

Todays result just typifies for me why I have always felt the society model would only work for so long when les Hutcheson extended the deadline time and time again for us to hit the min numbers required to take control the writing was on the wall for me not saying the society doesn’t have a place but a mix of private and fan ownership is the perfect model for me
