For what it's worth, don't you think it somewhat strange that while saying "come on guys" you quote the guy who was told to shut the fuck up by some attention begging tit he had never even interacted with in any way? Responded to that then put it on ignore with zero intention of ever seeing it again far less giving it any more attention? Would you think it okay if I were to tell you to shut the fuck up on this issue? Considering that you actually did directly interact with me while I did not with him.

And you can shut the fuck up if you, an internet non entity I have never interacted with, think for a moment you can tell me what I should do. And I would take the slightest heed, pal. And tell you what, pal, I will now put you on ignore and you can grunt away to yourself with the absolute guarantee of absolutely no response from me. Which was the situation until right now so you can surely live with that, pal. Except I wont be shutting the fuck up.

And, if he wants to have a future career at the top levels in football then he has to take this chance to shine right?. He will be almost on the doorstep of his parent club who will be watching very closely indeed because this is potentially the make or break season for him. If he doesn't step up and impress then his future at the top level in football will be in question. Motherwell can benefit from that. And who knows, if he does indeed step up and demonstrate the class he was thought capable of he might be the key to a fantasy run into the Europa league group stages. A financial game changer for the club. Now don't get me wrong, I don't expect to see Motherwell in the group stages even if Hastie were to prove world class in every tie. But it's not entirely impossible and you can always dream.

Some people simply can't see through their own brand of bigotry to the reality, and the reality is we played the OF a total of 5 times last season, 2 of the 5 against Rangers, and lost them all. All of them without Hastie who will this time be available to play against Celtic. As you say, any points against the OF at any time are a bonus not an expectation. And that applies for the entire league. Calling that absolute reality a 'mentality' is absolutely mental. The OF haven't been winning the league for almost 4 decades due to a mentality among the opposition. They have been doing it because of a massive financial advantage that's as great at this time as it has ever been. Last season alone they spent over £20 million between them in the transfer market. The rest of the league combined spent a total of around 500K, Motherwell spent nothing, effectively operating in the freebie charity shop market along with everybody else compared to the OF shopping at M&S. And that's brutal reality, not a mentality problem. If the management team who just secured a 3rd place finish with only the 8th largest budget in the league think Hastie is good business then so do I. They're the experts not merely pundits on an internet forum. Hastie is of a quality we couldn't afford outside a deal like this. The fact he can't play against Rangers is irrelevant to the 3rd place at best finish everyone outside the OF is aiming for.

It's a better result for Motherwell than Hibs. You can be sure they have designs on that minimum 4th place finish. OF will take the top 2 spots I would be surprised if Aberdeen didn't take either 3rd or 4th. So that would leave one spot up for grabs which Motherwell are in pole position to take. It might not be settled till the post split matches play out.
-
It's still a strong position for a Euro spot finish.
-
Hibs have worked their way into it somewhat after being totally outplayed first half. Hoping the lack of a goal in that first half doesn't prove fatal.
-
I don't think we can be too critical of the players. Let's face it, they have better players in every position and there's a reason they're in the knockout stages of the Europa league. Can only hang in there and look for something on the break. Trying to go at them would be suicidal.
-
We can consider this one to be a free hit. All things being equal the chances of taking anything from it are slim at best but then again no direct competitors will be taking anything there either. Fear the worst while hoping for the best. This wont define or greatly affect the season.

Motherwell chief executive Alan Burrows says "this is just the end of the beginning" after the fan-owned club announced they are virtually debt-free. Payments of around £1.5m have been repaid to former owners John Boyle and Les Hutchison, who helped facilitate the Well Society's 2016 takeover. In the region of £80,000 is still owed through loans to five fans. "It's very important now for nobody to rest on their laurels, for no-one to put the tools away," Burrows said. Burrows has revealed one of the options that may now be explored is the possibility of moving away from the club's home at Fir Park. The Lanarkshire club have resided on the site since 1895 but must consider the costs of maintaining a stadium that was largely redeveloped in the mid 1990s. "I think everything has to be on the table," Burrows said. "We have got to look to always try our best to keep up with modern standards, both in terms of training ground and a stadium. "From my own point of view, I have been working within the ground for a long period of time. We are now in 2019 and the stadium probably has to be a debate and a question that is put on the agenda quite high in the not too distant future. A training ground goes without saying. "We have a really good facility at Dalziel Park, but we need to look at how we can either develop that or somewhere else to try to take the club to the next level." https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/50273546

I smell the reek of an irrelevance at the wind up. Get this Einstein. It's a thread about a Rangers game so you can piss off and don't tell me or anyone else which threads to post on or what to post about. In fact I have already decided that I would have zero interest in anything a tit like you would have to say so you're now on ignore. You do the same with me and that's any problem solved.

A more important question is would Motherwell still have won if he hadn't been red carded.
-
I talk about Celtic in the same manner. Am I a fanboy of both or is that just something you think is impressive to throw in? It's not. This desperation to sell is the fantasy here which I suspect you have pulled from the fantasy material the internet is littered with. The reality is they owe money to no one but directors with deep pockets who are going to convert those loans to shares. Do you grasp what winning the league and achieving CL football would earn them? You're talking a minimum £40 million just for making the group stages then millions more in gate money. That's their objective and to get there they need quality like Morelos. To suggest they're desperate to unload him when week after week he's proving how much they need him and have Gerrard actually coming out stating they have to keep him is the real fantasy here. Pulled out of thin air with not scrap of evidence to support and ample evidence to dispute it. They will sell him at some point but given he's contracted till 2023 there is no rush to cash in. He's money in the bank for them at anytime they want to cash in over the next few years.
-
They're a difficult team to beat and outside this defeat and 2 defeats to the OF they have lost only one other league game and that was back at the beginning of the season away to Hamilton when their new manager hadn't yet figured out how to deploy them. They finished 3rd last season and appear capable of top 4 or thereabouts again.
-
And you appear to be vacuous enough to continue your grunting with nothing but your own grunting to support it. Bring something to support it.
-
I just desperately want it to be over now as it stands across the league. Puts Motherwell in 3rd place and 2 points clear of 5th.
-
I don't think he deserved a red but it is what it is. They're down to 10 men and we're ahead against a competitor for the 3rd/4th spot. These games are 6 pointers.
-
He's not my goal machine though I wish he were and frankly who in Scotland wouldn't. What I have heard is that everyone including the board is more than keen to keep him because yes he's a valuable asset who can bring in mega millions but they want to win the league then make the CL groups where the money on offer would eclipse the price tag on Morelos. He's key to that ambition. Their problem is that Morelos himself ultimately wants a move to the EPL so their issue is persuading him to stay when the offers do come along. He's contracted till 2023 so there is no urgency to cash in. If anything the price tag would only increase if they can get him CL experience.
-
Exactly where? Exactly where where are you living because you have to be the only one around here who isn't aware of it. Crystal Palace lining up £20m move for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos – but Aston Villa also interested in January deal Crystal Palace line up £20m Alfredo Morelos transfer as Rangers prepare for January battle I could smother the page with such links but instead will now just ask where this story of desperation to sell their goal machine who has been instrumental in earning them £20 million in Europe the past two seasons is coming from. You saying it is evidence of nothing but you saying it.
-
Rangers had 19 shots in the game and scored only two while overall in the league they have a GD of 22 to our 1. Motherwells shots to goals ratio isn't unusual.
-
I think we can compete with Aberdeen since though they too have something of a financial advantage it's almost trivial in comparison to the advantage the OF have. Aberdeen are competing in pretty much the same market we and everybody else are and given we're up there with them I was surprised to see any Motherwell fan want them to beat the OF. We need anybody who can to take points from Aberdeen. Aberdeen taking points from the OF would have no effect on them finishing top 2 but it could have an effect on 3rd and 4th spot. And their fans too have a disconnect from reality. McInnes has given them their best string of league finishes in years yet they want him fired because he can't compete with the OF. Same meaningless stuff you see here. Shit the bed etc whatever that's supposed to mean. It baffles me what they imagine anyone else could do against that kind of financial superiority.
-
Everybody talks up their own players and in this case they don't need to 'drum up interest' his record is what's doing that. They're desperate to keep him because they're desperate to win the league then make it to the CL groups where the money on offer would put a Morelos fee in the shade and to do that he's vital because they wouldn't be able to replace him. And how much more would it add on to the price tag if he became a proven CL scorer. Believe me there is no desperation to sell him.
-
Seriously where do you get this drivel from? Just pull it out of thin air? Presumably so because they're actually desperate to hold on to him and why wouldn't they be. Who wouldn't want to keep a 30 goal a season striker who is the key to their Euro success. Video primed to start at the key point.

Are you getting this? Your 'shit the bed' rant is mindless in terms of professional football. What are you even talking about? Do you even know because I don't? And another thing you don't appear to get. Aberdeen are historically the third best team in the country with a far superior record to that of of Motherwell and were the last team outside the OF to win the title. And are you getting this. They hadn't won at Ibrox in over a quarter of a century until the last few years when Rangers weren't what they have historically been . Shit the bed whatever that's supposed to mean? Yet somehow you think Motherwell should be beating them at Ibrox. And you think other sides have no problem beating them? Which alternate reality are you existing in? The reality is that Kilmarnock and everybody else do exactly what Motherwell do and simply get luckier. They park the bus then manage to survive a virtual siege to grab something on the break and Motherwell just haven't been so lucky. Hibs hammered 6-1. Hamilton 5-0 and Aberdeen 5-0 yet somehow Motherwell should be beating them. Do you grasp that even Celtic went there and sat off them but had the quality to catch them on the break? Seems you don't grasp that and what you're doing amounts to slating a young team who are currently having their best season in years.
