need a few midfielders . Hoping we offload Wilkinson and Shaw.
-
How are we feeling - confident for a win ? Could be first goals the winner today.

His press conferences annoy me. Not sure if he's being cute or arrogant. I don't see/hear him recognise how poor we've been or how poor his signings have been. He regularly bemoans individual errors, small squad and injuries as the reason for our woes. I don't see him taking much accountability . We deserve to be in the position we are as other than workman like performances we have zero guile/skill throughout the team. (other than Mika) We thought our midfield was weak last season, Likes of Goss & Cornelius would walk straight into our starting 11. I don't believe there's anywhere to hide for either team tomorrow. I'd be stunned if both managers were in a job come the New Year. A draw could see both managers get the boot.

At start of season Slattery looked half a yard sharper - it's clear he's got skill - unfortunately he spends more time trying to win free kicks . With our current man midfield we can ill afford this type of player - we need hard working, ball winners or someone who can create. Sadly he does neither .

agree this is a must win for SK to keep his job. The fact that we got rid of both GA and SH quickly has no doubt played a part in no action been taken until now. For us to have any hope of getting away from relegation/play off positions this is a game we simply need to come out the blocks , get ahead and win. Not easy formation/team selection as ideally we need the SPL to allow us to have 12 players. 5 man defence, 4 midfielders and 2 up front - until we get improved quality on the park this issue persists.
-
Decision could have been made last night when they issued 'don't travel if you don't have to warning'. The decent thing is to call off the game and award us 3 points All attention falls to the Livi game - a must win . I know that term is used a lot but really do believe it's a must win for SK to retain his job and for the club to stop the rot.

Re Former Players DT has had little to no game time at Celtic. I know there's been talk of us digging deep to fund KVV, if we were going to dig into the money pot I'd be much happier to get DT back on loan. It would give us the creative midfielder we've been missing and help him get back into the shop window.

I'm hopeful - for the match to be postponed

Midfield is where I'd be focussing as well. The current midfield neither protect the team nor do they create and bring the team forward. Simply put they don't function. Davor & Paton should be our hardworking, defensive, break up play, make simple passes with Spittal & Slattery being our creative players. At best one of these players should get a game, the others can warm the bench or move on.

SK did a lot right initially and did a great job getting rid of some poor squad players . that being said he also signed 11 players , most have not been anywhere close to standard . He has also brought in several back room members and no sold they’re adding value . The club has several issues and I’m not sold that SK isn’t one of them .
-
bit rude - seasons greetings to all 'Well fans . SK has gone on record saying we'll sign 1, possibly 2. Martindate has gone on record saying he needs to get to the window and get at least 3 players.

someone posted earlier that this is the first squad that doesn't have homegrown players in it. (appreciate Millers injury) There's been a lot of boo hoo'ing about previous players/managers involvement but at least they cared about our club. When we had guys like Lesley, Hammell, Craigan, Pearson, McFadden, McDonald etc around for their second time with the club it was far better than we have now. Led by ex-sportscene pundits and guys who don't have any history in the club. I don't see how we're any better off now - I used to like having ex-well guys around. I think it helped more than people realise.
-
Generally believe we're likely to finish 11th or 12th. Livi are likely to invest in players - I don't get a similar vibe from our club. Unless there's a masterplan of investment to be unveiled that gets shot off all those both on and off the pitch it's difficult to see a trajectory that enables us to be optimistic .
-
I raise that to 15 games with 6 points. On the 12th day of Christmas my true love gave to me 12 journeyman from England 6 points from 45 2 sportsence pundits and a head of recruitment that's total pee.
-
Large crowds cheering and jeering always has and always will influence the ref . overall we’ve not really offered anything . Didn’t expect anything today - having not won since early sep we need any least 4 points from next 2 games or time should be up .
-
Just looking around the team - individuals are either the same or worse than what we had in the second half of last season . sod , mugabi , blaney, Paton didn’t get a start for good reason . I think SK is getting as much as he can from this squad but this is his fault - he agreed and signed several players who are worse than what we had . hence no wins since 3 sep
-
There’s a reason he was +6 months without a club .

Dawes should be out the door. I rather move him on than SK. Was looking at some of the players we had on our books not long before Dawes took over. Carson, Gillespie, Aldred, Gallagher, Watt , Turnbull, Campbell . Crikey even likes of Cole, Long, Grimshaw and Donnelly begin to look decent compared to some of our most recent signings. I'm stunned he's not been released. He's cost us a fortune.

With the announcements this week it will be very difficult to sack the manager. No chairman, no CEO, no money, not announced whatever the cunning initiatives are. Having some continuity will be desired. Appreciate if we don't find a win before the NY it becomes difficult to justify but there's a clear mantra being pumped through social media and beyond about being in it together. The club really won't want to have to sack the manager at this moment in time.
-
Having a core of youngsters coming through would be better by a country mile than the journeyman approach . not expecting to create a faddy or turnbull evey year but our long line of players coming through has declined over the last 20 years . Like the idea of a model of bringing through youth with a sprinkling of experience . For this we need a long term plan and give someone like SK time to bring it to life

Always count on grizzly for the Christmas specials

Agree if we find 1-2 decent attack minded midfielders + 1 improvement upfront we’d be a decent team (assuming everyone is fit) Also appreciate we may end up 10th or 11th this season but can’t see this run continuing and I can see other teams having their own shit fests

completely on the same page - Slattery spends most of the game looking for free kicks rather than cracking on with the game. Something not right with his overall mentality and all in honesty a passenger who we need to release. He & Spittal both get more game time that perhaps they deserve but at least Spittal is an honest trier who's probably just limited. V's Slattery is one of those frustrating types who has ability but a questionable mentality. Think I'd prefer Bair in midfield than Slattery - just on workmate alone.
-
I posted about Derek on a different thread but I found it honest and refreshing - the standard is garbage , much poorer than league 2 - he's right to call it out - his timing is questionable but what he said I thought was on the money.

Derek Adams calling our how poor the standard of SPL is. Outlining how the paying punter would rightly stop coming if this was the standard. Lots to agree with -can't help but think us shopping around in the dross leagues of England is a big part of the issue. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67667758
