very frustrating. We're working better as team and putting in plenty of effort. The difference is they have more quality and will always score. As well as we've played we've not looked like scoring or really troubling their keeper .

Fortunate goal - they’ve offered very little

I like the progress we’re making as a team . Not so long ago I expected to lose these games by +4 goals of a difference . win , lose or draw I expect us to play as a team and fight for one another .
-
agree with that. Efford scored 2 goals in 25 games. I don't even know if he was a winger/striker. Got fed up hearing here's a guy who can (or can't ) play anywhere across the top 3. Wish him well and good move to move him on.

Writing was on the wall re him leaving. Suspect we hoped another club would come in during the window to take him off our hands as would be financially better than cutting the contract. This hasn't happened but still better to let a player go than have someone around the place who's not part of the future.

SK deserves man of the match as he’s created a team . thought the full squad all played to the best of their ability . Casey for me is MoTM , a leader and someone who could well be our future captain .

Better than the sum of the parts. The absolutely strength today was being together as a team. It's been quite a few seasons since I've enjoyed watching a 'Well team defend and fight for one another. Appreciate not a one off either, this has been building since day 1. Togetherness is key to our success and long may that continue.

Love winning love beating the jambos

We look exhausted this half and out muscled

I’d take of Bair and spittal , need to change and get further up the park

Where are the real Motherwell fans from this forum. People predicting wins, what's going on here .

Really difficult to say where we'll finish the season. Some very decent youngsters and a bit of quality throughout. The younger players are likely to be inconsistent but feeling more optimistic at the and of the window than the start. Happy to be anywhere better than 8th and hope to see a hard working team who can push on and do at least 1 better than last season. Would love to see us humping Hearts - that's always good and I can't stand Naismith. 'Mon the Well.

Fair play to SK he’s addressed several of the areas we’ve needed cover . Suspect this pushes SOD back in the pecking order . Born out of injuries , suspect the three signings in the last week to be better than those they replace . A good sign .
-
Shaw seems like a really decent signing. In truth suspect he’ll get a start even when all the others are fit .
-
The unknown is whether Biereth or Obika remain fit once recovered. I'm not a huge fan of a 36 year old Fletcher, however my mind changes when I look across our current front line.

Project is kind and represents the situation. Bair is clearly a fit strong lad, willing to work hard. Labelling project suggests he was cheap and we shouldn't expect to see much/anything for the first year. Bits of the game are more teachable than others. Strikers tend to have a nose for goal and the rest can be taught. I don't believe Bair has the nose for goal but doesn't mean he can't offer something else. Who knows, he may end up being a decent midfielder or defender. The more we do to take pressure off the lad the better and like you and others have mentioned that means a position on the bench at best is the right place for Bair right now.

bring him back here for a year on loan and he can go back next year when they're back in championship

SK has the potential to be the best manager we’ve had for some time . common sense , no nonsense , got the team playing as a team .
-
Be interesting to see if both McGinley and Efford both find other clubs either as perm or loanees before the window shuts. National league is prob the right levels.
-
A fit Moult will score at any level in the Scottish game. If and it's a big 'if' he stays fit he'll have a great season.

What I really enjoyed about yesterday is the willingness to change it. 2 up front in the first half wasn't working. In part as neither of the front 2 were good enough but also we were out muscled in midfield for a variety of reasons. Having a manager being willing and able to adapt the set up mid game is refreshing. It was an obvious change that we needed but previous managers were often too stubborn to change. SK is showing an ability to adapt as we go. FWIW given Lennon is learning & Spittal/Slattery both prefer to get up the park the formation we finished the game is currently the one we should start with.

was rumoured back in June but not heard anything. As desperate as we are I'm not convinced bringing in a 36 year old is the answer, particularly one with a 1:4 goal record. Significantly better than the fit ones we have but I'd rather spend the money on a promising loanee

got to agree with you here. A 6 month contact would have been reasonable to prove he has something. Expect/need us to bring in a striker for at least 6 months.
