Great to see him get amongst the goals. To be fair other than KVV he was our most likely to score and still is. In our current formation he could sit behind the front 2. He's a bit lightweight but dare say would chip in with assists/goals.

I can see why it's not a cut and dry victory for many of our fans. We've not beaten them this season and previous seasons is pretty nip/tuck. Kilmarnock have put some decent points together in recent weeks, I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that we turn up and win. A victory would give us further breathing space. Would personally be happy with a draw.

ha - I'll have a pint of whatever you've having. Sounds awesome

And let not forget Jamie Dolan . loved seeing him in goals
-
he's had a few niggling injuries. He had a set back a few weeks ago. Hopefully on the road to recovery

what a brilliant game . Bring back the tackles Bring back the crowds.

@bobbybingo what a tremendous share. Few observations. 1) 18k crowd at Fir Park. 2) Challenges- VAR would melt down trying to keep pace. 3) Mclean - what an awesome response to Billy McNeil at Half team (same can be said for Kirky) 4) Bobby Russel - together with Cooper are amongst the most cultured players I've ever seen at FP. That squad of players really were a cut above.

Agree Grizzly, Butcher in particular is the captain we've missed for quite some time. Re Slattery, he looks yard slow and this causes him to be late for tackles, give away several free kicks and ultimately get booked in most games he plays. I believe he's a decent playery, if he was able to get himself into physically better shape I think we'd see a much better player. Slattery , Goss and Spittal all regularly get slated as a pack but they're all completely different players who add value. All have got positives that they add but none are the complete player - hence they play for us and not at a higher level.

I'd like to credit GA and SH. They brought these brilliant players to our club. 😉 yeah to be fair SK has made us very hard to beat , the completely new defence post Jan is night and day.

Very good result and excellent defending . well done KVV for making a goal out of nothing - he has that bit of quality that we need
-
Wish we’d stop feigning injury - were doing well , rather we didn’t act like a bunch of play actors
-
He’s defended well but had little chance to break forward . Poor ball retention by others doesn’t give him much scope to push forward
-
Midfield need to do more . As soon as any of them get the ball the first instinct is simply boot it up the park . Paton , slattery , goss and spittall all need to do better defence have all played well

men against boys . No pun inteded

When we bring in signings from other SPL clubs they often end up getting a lot more critique. Many fans never warmed to Spittal, S'OD, O'Hara, even mistake mistake jumped on. Personally believe we'd be in a worse position without Spittal. He's chipped in with several goals and assists.

Favourite ever 'Well win in Glasgow against Celtic. The class of '91.

I think the opposite would happen. We're already seen as bit of a joke outside Scotland. The OF drive a lot of positive attention , hence they have so much of the Vito rights in what happens. European positions would reduce in numbers and our players wouldn't go to any grounds bigger than c10k. At least playing the OF gives real time experience of playing much bigger clubs. The Scottish game has been a slow dying death for decades. OF leaving would be a final nail , suspect many clubs would go into oblivion. That's my cheerful view of it all

It certainly feels like a formation issue but equally I don't see McKinstry as winger. He's a bit like Tierney in as much as he's a good forward player who can come through the middle and cause problems. Therefore the role that Spittal has been occupying seems the most obvious role. Arguably McKinstry and any others could be a partner for KVV , Mandron doesn't look to be a long term answer.

To be fair agreed. -until it’s mathematically impossible it’s still at the back of my mind .
-
It would take incredible twists of fate for us to end up back in the poop. last 7-8 games saved our season
-
For clubs of our size and stature today pretty much typifies why we’re at the level we are . been on a run of form , picked up lots of points through being hungry and positive edge . it always proves impossible to maintain. Possibly down to the lack of quality and how long average players can keep peaking . Like others said no need to panic but it is a shame . things are pretty tasty for the bottom three . Glad we have a gap and really want to get another 3 pts on the board asap to ensure we don’t get sucked into it .
-
a draw would be a decent result, the longer we continue picking up points the better.

Neilson has a personality ? You're bang on form as always with the jokes @grizzlyg
-
Football is bonkers. Nielson has been an outstanding manager over a sustained period of time. Whether they finished 3rd of 4th - who cares. They should be happy with that. In terms of Robinson , he's found his level at St.Mirren and suspect like at Motherwell he'll struggle next season. In terms of Kettlewell - he's in a honeymoon period. Can't imagine Hearts would entertain it at this stage. I suspect hearts will go for a much bigger name and quite frankly they'll have to if they want someone better than Nielson.

Replacing KVV would be difficult. A million quid would soften the blow but we’d be a far worse off without him . None of the current crop of gizillion attackers on our books are anywhere near the threat that KVV offers
