SK obviously cares and does the basics well. He's proud to be the manager of this football club, we know this as he tells us in every interview & remind us how much he cares about the football club and uses the term football club about this football club quite a lot. After all it's a football club don't you know. I've backed him during his tenure as he does the basics well. We're very good at the ugly side of the game, win lots of the battles , work hard. as a unit to stop the opposition. In many respects we mirror how SK was as a player, which is a positive albeit slightly worrying as it's not clear if there's better to come. For me he needs to build on the basics and be more than a hardworking unit. We need better passing accuracy and more attack minded football. If the masterplan was to get the basics and then build then that's ok , I'd like to see more signs that we are looking to entertain at this football club.

Im less fussed about getting a striker - if we can get signings who are able to provide opportunities to our strike force that would be ideal.
-
ideal type of loan signing. Young, Promising, Midfield - sounds ideal.
-
Im a big fan of Watt - he’s got great football intelligence . id be happy for him to sit just behind the main strikers as he could link up midfield to attack - something we’ve missed for quite a while

Excellent to pick up 3 points. A great result which we'd have taken before the game. For me loads to work on. We need to learn to keep possession and 2 shots on target at home against 10 men is poor. Thankfully we had the rub of the green and 3 points banked.

our ball possession is a disgrace. Looked earlier and Aberdeen had 60% possession and made 130 passes v's our 50 passes. I know it's not all about possession but we have zero ability to keep the ball. you'd think these are the basic things teams work on.

With Miller being out for the next 2 months we really need to bolster midfield. (that already needed improving) 3 from 7 midfielders are injured and wouldn't bank on Paton lasting the rest of the season without picking up injuries. Same with Halliday given he's knocking on a bit. Given how tough this window is I'd much prefer to go do down the loanee route - first ask would be wee Al Campbell back to get him in the shop window.

Aberdeen have been on a very poor run of games - that will come to an end some time soon. Reasonable to expect that could be against us. Generally speaking they've been misfiring recently but they still have c60% of possession and 15-20 shots per game. A mixture of poor finishing and poor defending has led to the poor run. If we are to take anything from the game we need to approach it the way we did against Dundee Utd . Aggression, pace and urgency from minute 1. Sadly that's been the exception in terms of our approach rather than the rule but we need to have pace in the team to hit them hard on the counter attack.

Our approach to entertaining fans is minimal . at our best we work hard and do the ugly side of the game well and pick up points . It can and is accepted when we win . Wingbacks - we never really replaced Gent and to have SOD as first choice won’t ever bring the intensity we need . midfield has little to zero creativity within it . Upfront I think we have decent enough strikers on our books but they get little to no service . I simply don’t like the style of football under SK . I’m not calling for his head just calling out it’s not attractive to watch .
-
I’ve been thinking similarly. He got off to a great start but had cost goals . an outfield player would be dropped and don’t see why we wouldn’t . way back when gardiner and maxwell were often dropped for one another and it helped improved maxwell .
-
First half highlights pretty much what we’ve seen all season 1/3 possession and 0 shots doesn't matter if we’re playing the top or bottom these stats are repeatable . Requires zero thought tactically to set up against us - we are very predicable
-
Keen to maintain the 10pt gap - the longer Hearts stay down there the better. Ideally we come fast out the traps , get a couple of goals and crush any hope they have.
-
9 out of 10 times the keeper will be protected . fwiw I thought the ref got most of the decisions right yesterday . on a bad day goal 1 would have been chopped off and in todays game miller could have been sent off. I’d love the team to focus more on attack minded footy and give us more to cheer about . Was awesome going 2 goals up in the first half - more attack minded footy welcome
-
That sounds pretty reasonable . They are all decent footballers - the more quality we can retain the better .
-
SK comes across as someone who needs to take a break - give the man a Kit Kat and a few days rest . the constant complaining about decisions is nonsense . I can see why Watts goal was disallowed - if that was in reverse we’d be complaining . very pleased at getting a point today, very decent result
-
We all wanted to see us going and giving it a go - we did and we got a point also get further opportunities for our gaffer to moan about VAR very pleased to get a result - well done lads
-
Appreciate not wise to go all guns blazing against the OF . That being said there should be more games where to should go out to win rather than not to lose . Today we simply hoped we’d keep it tight . Step 1 would and should be keep the ball as much as possible but our ball retention was awful .
-
Always low expectations in these games . 0 shots on target and 15% possession - yuck .
-
Big OX was very poor for the goal. That's a couple of very soft goals he's conceded recently. Appreciate he had a great start to the season, equally we can't afford to concede such soft goals without consequence. We've been quick enough to drop other areas when they've made mistakes, be interesting to see how many more goals before making a stitch in the sticks.

When paying fans rock up on cold winters night they need more than a pie and bovril to keep them warm. 4 shots all game/one on target is far from that. We had a such a good opportunity to build on the attacking display from last weekend. A draw is a decent result , just a shame not to offer much in the way of entertainment. Majority of the SPL clubs need a kick in the backside to up their approach to entertaining the fans.

VAR could and should be an amazing addition for our game. If it sticks to the purpose of minimising clear and obvious errorsthat could affect the outcome of the game, and to ensure fairer decision-making overall. If VAR can detect a clear and obvious error within 30 seconds it should . It if take more than 30 seconds then we should challenge how clear or obvious the error is. EG being 2 yards offside is obvious, having a left hand that may put you 2-3 cm offside isn't . We've made simple complicated - please delete and start again.
-
well done lads - great to see them out and about helping share a bit of festive cheer.
-
Scoring goals in the first half - who is this team Really pleasing to see energy, attacking football. Lots of chances for both teams. Much prefer this approach , got to give the fans something to cheer about during and as @wellfan mentioned - thoroughly entertaining game. Win lose or daw, entertainment and excitement is good for the game.
-
he's certainly a decent player - personal view is we need a good balance of hard working type s(which we have lots of) together with a few who can actually play football. Guys like Nicholson, Miller, Slattery, Watt all have decent skill - I'd like to see a team with all of them fit.

Very happy to stop the rot and get a win . Also very happy to have Tony watt in the starting 11 and get a goal . he has lots of qualities that I just don’t see the other forwards having .
