didn't expect much from today but in all honesty this season has been poor to watch - it's just much easier to accept when we win. We continue to let teams dominate us and have far too many shots on goal.
-
I think Grimmy get's away with it as there's no other natural right midfielder - personally I'd have dropped Woolery and played a 4 man midfield - or even with 3 up front would drop Woolery
-
good luck to him. We've signed many a player over the last few years who simply aren't good enough for SPL, the sooner we spot this and let them leave the better. Suspect he'll have something lined up - hence the mutual ending of contact. There's a few others who could easily be in the same position ( irrespective of making/not making social media comments. ) The hard bit is them finding new clubs and wishing to cancel their contract.

I hear you, I didn't mean that Heart outplayed us. I'm delighted we've won the games we had - in the last few months' we ridden our luck and it was due to run out - which it did to a team with bigger resources than us.
-
our luck ran out today . in recent games we’ve allowed teams a lot of shots and generally gone unpunished . today we got punished by a team that’s generally better than us. like others have mentioned our midfield is our weakest area - be great to get goss In the first team
-
Before we kicked a ball we were out numbered in midfield - 4 vs 3 , not surprising the midfield find it difficult too easy to blame players - they didn’t have much of a chance

Watt is a brilliant fit for us and has all the makings of a future club legend. A fans favourite and will be a strong contender for player of the year. Can't see him being good enough for a long term international career but good enough for a handful of games whilst going through any purple patch of form.
-
What Grimme offers (In addition to pure endeavour) is he can play right midfield - I'm not sold Donnelly can and as such not like for like. Personally I'd like to see Goss in the team but suspect we need to move to a 4 man midfield to make that work and I don't see GA doing that

Id have never played a 4-3-3 id have never played Woolery Shows how little I know. Well done team, cracking result
-
he played over 130 games for us in his 4 years. Incredibly more than Maxwell played in his 8 years. I get your point re legend - he'll be remembered first and foremast as a Rangers legend, feels counter intuitive that someone could be a legend at multiple clubs. Legend or not I've never seen or had as much joy from watching any individual player as I did with Cooper. (sadly I'm a couple years too young to have seen Pettigrew, St.John etc)

In reference the posts about possession. Giving up a high percentage isn't an issue until it's in the final 1/3. Allowing teams to have 15+ shots each game will at some point hurt us. Last 3 games we've allowed something like 48 shots , 16 on target and only conceded 1. Not convinced we'll keep up that average - at some stage these shots will hit the net. To build upon our grit and physicality I'd play 5 at the back that flips to 3 when wingbacks push up will work, to keep the ball out of our final 1/3 and have more possession. That means only 2 upfront who'd be KVV and Watt.
-
great to win3 in the bounce and another clean sheet will all help confidence. We're looking like a strong physical team again, not a bad place to start and have Watt & KVV who have quality.
-
he's scored once ever - its another 3 years before he's due another goal.
-
This is soooooooo annoying Was going to watch the game here in Yorkshire . Would love a virtual season ticket .
-
personal view Woolery needs to get his finger out and start proving he deserves to start games. I'd have had Goss in rather than him, (appreciate not a like for like position) Anyway - thats'a strong physical team we have - let's get in about them.
-
thats a cracking top
-
He's hard to listen to for 10 mins. Tried hard but ended up fast forwarding bits. Hoping to see some better football tomorrow.
-
im interested to see how we'll set ourselves up with the new signings. Hope to see a more obvious structure to our game with better ball retention and movement.
-
Agree he plays with much higher calibre with Scotland My thoughts are we don't help ourselves - other than S'OD what do we offer on the right hand side of the park - there's been no right midfield and any winger/front 3 player has been pretty poor on the right. If we had a solid back 3 behind him or someone in right midfield I think we'd see more. Putting that to the side I love seeing Well players in the national team - something we can be proud of.
-
S'OD plays well for Scotland - who play a different formation to 'Well. He's pushed further up and better protected by a central back 3. He does receive a fair amount of stick - he was excellent again last night.
-
Not seen enough of KVV to see how good he is BUT have seen enough of Lawless, Justin, Woolery to give KVV the nod in front of them. He at least looks like an out and out striker. Unsure of Shields - assuming he's a striker who should be played through the middle - no idea if he's better than KVV or the others
-
I suspect we'll continue with 4-3-3. 3 man midfield isn't that strong + I don't believe we have 3 strong forward players. Most of the forwards aren't wingers and aren't strikers - it's a pic and mix of players who simply aren't that good. KVV and Watt seem the most obvious to pick from. can but hope for a 3-5-2, 5-3-2, 4-4-2 type mix but GA so far shows little flex .
-
Don't see the harm in being allowed to share gut reaction to signings. Feel pretty happy with the signing of Solholm. Something a bit different for us and a big chap who can on the face of it shore up the defence. Happy we signed him and hope it works out.
-
completely agree. No matter who the 3 midfielders are most of the bottom 6 clubs will put 4 or 5 players against it . I'm hoping that we bring in a decent right midfielder who can pass - that way we can have Goss, and TBC wide midfield with O'Hara and Slattery giving us a bit of dig in the centre. I genuinely believe we're only a couple of players away from being really solid but only if we change formation

Amaluzor reminds me of a slight upgrade on Seedorf. He has pace and good touch but still to prove to be the finished article. He's often the wrong side of a player and doesn't link play particularly well. Too early to say for sure. That said I'd put him in the team before Woolery - who may be wasted out wide but doesn't look a goal scorer either so not sure what the point of having him is.
