  1. it was like being savaged by a sheep - they just didn't look dangerous. Someone else mentioned last night it being very similar to us for the first 10 games of the season. Lots of possession but no bite. Much prefer us on the counter and looking dangerous - just wish we could pass the ball. Kelly was able to ping it about - wish more could follow his example
  2. we defended well as a team. Mugabi had a great performance. Went for Campbell as without him I don't believe we would have scored . His finish was spot on.
  3. Mugabi has improved significantly as the as the season has progressed - the more game time the better he has become. For me he lacks the guile to know where to be and get's caught in the wrong position/wrong side of the attacker - Im not sold he will be the solution long term but a decent squad player for sure. Lamie has improved but he too has many brain farts - I just don't see him being a first team regular.
  4. getting the 3 points from the game is good karma - hope the same happens against st Mirren who are due to have poor run.
  5. our midfield offer SFA going forward. really not a fan of Crawford
  6. we lack basic passing - making Killie look good
  7. if they can't play they should forfeit the points and award a 3 - 0 win.
  8. next 4 games are huge for us - time to move up the league.
  9. If we had a team that kept winning I wouldn't give a flying F who we picked . Appreciate it's early days for the newer signings but if we only brought in players who were better than we have then they should be playing or at least subs.
  10. with 10 first team defenders we should be able to swap out Lamie. Be interesting to see if Magloire or Nolan can step in. If not got to question why they're here.
  11. all strikers will miss - Cole has missed plenty but thankfully got on the end of a few. Watt has missed plenty but his overall game is solid. The exam question for me " is Smith better than what we have ?" Early evidence suggests no, but too early to say for sure. Other than Kelly none of our Jan signings look to be better than our best 11 .
  12. very true . Would be very happy with 9 but over the moon with 12.
  13. in an ideal world we'd take 9 points from the next 4 games , starting with 3 on Wed.
  14. we need to make teams work harder to get their goals. First goal - Lamie was the player we opted to mark the zone and go fo the ball. Big mistake - he's not aggressive enough. Big Bevis is the man for that job. Second Goal - Crawford gave his man far too much space. No harm to either Lamie or Crawford but they're not good enough for SPL. Plenty of reasons for optimism , hopefully Gallagher, O'Hara and a few of the new boys can get up to speed.
  15. agree -the three man defence has been a problem for us all season. Whether it's been Polworth being lazy, our our lack of passing ability or being simply out numbered. Short term Maguire, Campbell, O'Hara are likely our strongest midfield. Perhaps Foley adds something extra
  16. Be interesting to see how he plays when we have someone on the wing. I don't really see hime working well as a three as part of Watt/Cole/Long/Him but if we have balls coming in from the wing it could be different story.
  17. Ohara is a much better player than Crawford - surprised he's not on in his place
  18. respect keeping the same starting 11 that won the game. Hopefully keeps players hungry to do well but also break into the team. Wonder if some of the new signings have injuries
  19. be interesting to see if any of the new players come in. Would like to avoid a pumping , hoping for a continued improved team performance.
  20. Be tempted to move to a 4-1-3-2 formation Put Maguire in front of defence and bring back O'Hara. If we go 4-3-3 then I'd replace Crawford with O'Hara.
